Mikey Moore’s tough start to life at Ibrox continued as the youngster came on as a late substitute in Rangers’ late win at Livingston.
Max Aarons’ 94th-minute goal secured the Gers their first win of the new Scottish Premiership season following what has been a dismal start.
Russell Martin, who convinced Moore to join Rangers, is under pressure in Glasgow with the team sitting 10th in the table.
Tottenham Hotspur will be increasingly concerned by the teenager’s loan spell north of the border as he struggled off the bench in the win.
Rangers fans disappointed by Mikey Moore’s performance vs Livingston
Rangers fans were left disappointed yet again by Mikey Moore’s latest performance for the club, despite only playing eight minutes against Livingston.
The teenager was subbed on for Brentford loanee Jayden Meghoma after 82 minutes, and he struggled to make much of an impact.
Former SPL striker Chris Sutton fears for Moore, given the ‘toxic situation’ which is currently unfolding at Rangers.
The Gers’ struggles this season mean the coaching staff and the players are facing a fair amount of criticism from supporters.
Unfortunately, Moore, who Thomas Frank rates highly, has taken a fair amount of stick from fans this season since making the switch.
During the match, Rangers supporters took to X to share their frustrations towards the Tottenham Hotspur loanee.
One fan said: “Timid Mikey Moore and Bajrami getting game time ahead of Findlay Curtis is criminal from Russell Martin.”
“Chasing a goal at 1-1 vs Livingston and we turn to Mikey Moore, who’s been poor,” added another Rangers supporter.
There was yet more criticism towards Moore: “Martin’s substitutions prove just how poor he is. He moves Gassama to the right to play Mikey Moore on the left.”
Finally, another fan added: “Tottenham must be absolutely fuming where we are playing Mikey Moore right now.”
Mikey Moore must learn from Harry Kane and Amad Diallo’s loan experiences
For an 18-year-old, it will be quite a tough experience being in such a hostile environment and facing so much criticism at a young age.
But the teenager only needs to look at how Harry Kane dealt with the setbacks of underwhelming loan spells to remain calm.
The former Spurs striker notoriously endured four tough loan spells at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City.
