Tottenham Hotspur have suffered an injury worry during their pre-season victory against Sydney FC on Wednesday.
Tottenham made it three wins from three in pre-season as they look to embark on a far more successful Premier League campaign than what we've seen in the two previous seasons, although they needed a penalty shoot-out to beat the Australian outfit.
Mathys Tel gave Spurs the lead with a stunning free-kick just before the half-hour mark, with Takahiro Sekine levelling the scores in the second half.
Tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes, the match went to penalties with the north Londoners eventually running out 4-2 winners following the spot-kicks.
Tel was one of Tottenham's most impressive performers in his 45 minutes on the pitch, outshining other senior teammates like Conor Gallagher and Richarlison, who may have sealed his summer exit after barely touching the ball against Sydney.
Lucas Bergvall also played in the first half before being replaced by club-record signing Sandro Tonali, even though the Sweden international is keen to secure a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the September 1 deadline.
Tel wasn't the only attacker who impressed on the day, with Manor Solomon also impressive in his 65 minutes on the field.
Spotted: Manor Solomon Has Leg Strapped in Ice
Solomon is one of the Tottenham players who are expected to leave this summer, with his agent suggesting his inclusion in pre-season means nothing as he looks to secure a permanent exit away from the club.
The Israel international certainly put himself in the shop window with his display against Sydney, with Football London correspondent Alasdair Gold saying he was 'always dangerous' during his time on the pitch.
However, after the 27-year-old was taken off, he was spotted with a big pack of ice strapped to his thigh on the substitutes' bench, raising injury concerns.
The winger joined the north London outfit in 2023, but he has only made six first-team appearances and has spent time out on loan at Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina since.
Tottenham Plan Move for 'World-Class' Star After Savinho
Tottenham's transfer priority right now is to add more attackers to Roberto De Zerbi's squad, with the main focus being on completing a move to sign long-term target and Manchester City winger Savinho.
Spurs tried to buy him last summer but failed, but it appears as though City are more open to the Brazilian's exit this summer, as long as they land a suitable replacement first.
Tottenham have shown they aren't afraid to spend big on the targets they want, as shown by club chiefs twice breaking their transfer record already during the close season, and they appear willing to do it again for Savinho.
