Tottenham Hotspur sent representatives to Belgium on Tuesday evening as the club monitors a potential swoop for Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi.
Spurs threw money at the summer transfer window to back Roberto De Zerbi, but are yet to reap the benefits of that £300 million splurge. The North London outfit find themselves in the relegation zone once again after three outings.
Perhaps the most worrying aspect of what is going on at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the fact that the team are yet to score a goal in the Premier League this season, a feat only to be shared by struggling Aston Villa and Coventry City. Tresoldi could be viewed as the remedy for that.

TEAMtalk reports that Spurs sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old in action for Club Brugge on Tuesday night. The Belgian side were defeated 3-2 by Aston Villa in the Champions League, but Tresoldi still found his way onto the scoresheet via a penalty, taking his goal tally to five this season.
The striker was largely kept quiet by Unai Emery's defence in midweek, but was hailed in the Belgian media for continuing his scoring streak and commended his team's performance after full time.
The German Under-21 international is emerging as one of the most highly coveted young forwards on the continent, with representatives from Manchester United also present at the fixture on Tuesday.
Spurs are said to be carrying out 'further work' on Tresoldi, who scored 23 goals last season following his move from Hannover to Brugge. Barcelona were also credited with interest in the star this summer.

Tottenham only have Dominic Solanke as an out-and-out centre-forward, with Richarlison having been left out of the Premier League squad altogether. Oumar Marmoush and Savio are expected to bring goals, but are yet to find their first strikes for the club.
Summer investment in the midfield creative forces of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes may remain ineffective without an in-form talisman to convert chances. Tresoldi certainly looks to have that quality.
German Football Association sporting director Rudi Völler has hailed the striker as 'the future of German football', as he continues to develop at Brugge. The Belgian side has become a hotbed of talent for Premier League clubs, with Arsenal snapping up winger Christos Tzolis from the outfit for £34 million in the summer.
The Gunners man had been outspoken in his praise for Tresoldi's 'pace' and ability as a 'target man' last season, those quotes coming ahead of facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
A move for Tresoldi, who is reportedly valued at £43 million, would have hallmarks of Real Betis' swoop for former Spurs man Troy Parrott this summer. Both strikers have proven their abilities outside Europe's traditional top five leagues, with Parrott impressing in the Eredivisie, and have the profiles needed to make the step up.
Betis paid just £17 million to sign Parrott but, in Tresoldi, Spurs would be getting a player who is two years younger and boasts an imposing physical profile alongside his goalscoring ability. The Club Brugge man has also already scored four Champions League goals, giving him valuable experience at Europe's elite level.
The Parrott fee could also point to room for negotiation on that £43 million asking price.
