Richarlison’s dismal stint at Tottenham could come to an end sooner rather than later.

The Brazilian forward has struggled in North London since joining from Everton in 2022, notching just 16 goals in 70 Premier League appearances.

The 28-year-old has constantly suffered with injuries and has been unable to forge a permanent starting berth as a result.

Martin Allen recently told Tottenham News that Spurs could take just £20million to get him off the books this summer, and his exit could be accelerated in the coming weeks.

Richarlison has been heavily linked with a move to Everton, his former club, but that appears to have cooled down recently.

However, there could still be a route to a departure amid the latest developments from the Turkish Super Lig.

A report from Posta (22 June) claims that the Spurs ace is keen on a potential move to Galatasaray.

It states that the Lilywhites have given the green light for the Brazil star to leave this summer, either permanently or on loan.

Richarlison sale makes sense for Tottenham

The 50-cap international has failed to fulfil his potential in N17 due to injuries, and Spurs should take whatever they can get for him, especially considering his fitness record and his age.

Thomas Frank needs attackers that he can rely on, if he is to expand on Ange Postecoglou’s successful foundation after replacing the Australian.

Spurs will be playing in the Champions League next season and if they are to thrive in that competition, then they need better attackers than the former Goodison Park star.

He has not shown anything to suggest that he is at that level in his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so he should be moved on, if a serious offer comes in, whether that be a permanent or temporary switch.

A move to Turkey would probably suit him, as the football is less demanding, so it would put less strain on his body and could potentially allow him to return to the Brazil squad for the World Cup, which will not happen if he stays.

Frank needs to be brutal after his arrival, and this could be the start of a much-needed exodus.
