Tottenham Hotspur are set to explore the possibility of signing a high-profile playmaker as they look to bolster Thomas Frank’s options in the absence of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, with a proven European performer now emerging as a candidate.
Tottenham Hotspur are in active search for an attacking midfielder following an injury to James Maddison, who is set to miss a huge chunk of the 25/26 season after hurting his ACL.
Fellow creative midfielder Dejan Kulusevski is also sidelined and is expected to miss the opening parts of the new season, leaving Frank threadbare in the attacking positions.
Spurs have since identified Eberechi Eze as their target in the ten position, with the Crystal Palace attacking midfielder reported to be open to joining the Lilywhites.
Tottenham show interest in Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo
According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Tottenham are now reported to be amongst a host of clubs showing interest in Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo.
It is understood that Spurs are keeping an eye on Olmo’s developing situation in Spain, as Barcelona are believed to have opened the door for his late summer departure.
The report claims that while Hansi Flick values Olmo’s talent, the German manager believes Barcelona need players with greater physical consistency, as the Spain international suffered several injuries last term, limiting him to just 13 starts in La Liga.
