Tottenham Hotspur have been exploring a move for a versatile Brazilian winger in the dying stages of the transfer window.
It has been an uneventful transfer deadline day from a Tottenham Hotspur perspective, and that appears unlikely to change over the next few hours.
Spurs fans would have been hoping that the club could pull a surprise out of the bag and strengthen their attack today, but there are no indications that another signing is on the way.
The closest thing Tottenham got to a deadline day signing was James Wilson, but the 18-year-old Hearts striker will go straight into the academy side rather than the senior team.
Reports now indicate that Tottenham are not expected to land Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, who has been linked with a move to N17 over the last few days.
Tottenham hold an interest in a Saudi Pro League forward
Interestingly, AS journalist Eduardo Burgos has revealed that Tottenham have been tracking a young Brazilian starlet over the last few days. He asserts that Al-Nassr’s Angelo Gabriel has been on the North London club’s radar.
However, Burgo adds that the 21-year-old winger, who is formerly of Chelsea, will not be sold by the Saudi club. The Blues signed Gabriel for £13m from Santos before selling him on to Al-Nassr for a £6m profit, despite him never playing for the club.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham keep scouting Angelo Gabriel ahead of a potential summer move. He has four goals and six assists in 27 games so far this season.
Have Spurs left Thomas Frank down in January?
Leading up to the January window, it was widely reported that signing a big-name wide player would be Tottenham’s priority in January.
However, the Lilywhites have opted not to offer Frank any more firepower upfront, even though the Dane is currently dealing with an injury crisis.
