Maghnes Akliouche continues to impress with his performances for club and country.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keeping tabs on his development, and they could look to make a move for him in future. According to former club scout Mick Brown, Tottenham watched the player in action against Azerbaijan, and he managed to get on the score sheet for his country.

Brown is unsure whether Tottenham will be able to spend a substantial amount of money on him in January, but they are keeping tabs on his progress, and he’s one of the names on their wishlist.

Tottenham to move for Maghnes Akliouche?

“Tottenham are looking to sign a flair player on the wing,” he told Football Insider.

“It’s something the manager wants to add to his side, and potentially an attacking midfielder too, so it won’t come as a surprise that they’ve been keeping tabs on him.

“They’ll have watched him for France, and obviously he scored a goal in that game which has done him no harm in terms of that interest.

“I think there are a few players on their radar and I have questions about whether they could get it done.

“It’s difficult to say how much they will be willing to spend in January, but the manager will want to add to his squad and so they’ll be assessing their options.

“Akliouche is very highly rated in France and he’s now playing for the national team, so of course that’s a good sign as far as his qualities go.

“If he keeps impressing, he could definitely be somebody Tottenham go for, because he fits the bill of the players they want to add to their squad.”

Akliouche would be a superb addition

There is no doubt that he is a talented player with a bright future, and Tottenham could use someone with his skill set. He is excellent when it comes to creating opportunities in the final third with his passing, vision and flair. He’s also effective when it comes to taking on defenders and beating them in one-versus-one situations. It would add some much-needed unpredictability to the Tottenham attack.

The young attacker could improve with coaching and experience, and moving to the Premier League could unlock his true potential. It remains to be seen whether Spurs decide to follow up on their interest with an offer to get the deal done in January.
