Spurs record under Peter Bankes offers reason for optimism
Tottenham Hotspur have an average record in games officiated by Peter Bankes and the Lilywhites fans have another reason to be pessimistic.
But Arsenal’s record is even better, with the Gunners winning nine of the 13 matches Peter Bankes has taken charge of, with only three ending in defeats.
Spurs have won seven of the 16 games under the referee, drawn four and lost five. He has also never sent off a Tottenham player when officiating one of their matches.
