Everton are facing a real battle on their hands if they are going to land Tyler Dibling from Southampton.

The early stages of the week will have had Everton fans excited about potentially seeing some major transfer developments.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has completed his Everton move from Chelsea, which has now flicked the focus onto improving their attacking options.

Room for improvement is evident on Merseyside, and David Moyes is keen to see more new faces come through the doors at Finch Farm.

Everton are keen to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton, but a potential deal has already hit the rocks.

With early issues already being experienced, the Toffees have now discovered some other issues in recent days.

Everton face Tyler Dibling interest from Tottenham and Newcastle

Southampton have told Everton to pay £50m for Dibling after three bids were put forward to the Saints.

Interestingly, Dibling has now asked to leave Southampton, which could well see the negotiations take a sudden turn.

MORE EVERTON STORIES

According to Team Talk, there has now been another development, with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United emerging as potential landing spots.

It is claimed that Spurs are closely monitoring the 19-year-old’s situation, with Everton having made their push to secure his signature.

As for the Toon, it is believed Newcastle have already made initial contact, but they are yet to make any formal move.

Dibling has trained separately at Southampton amid the transfer speculation over his future.

If either Spurs or Newcastle are to up their interest in Dibling, Everton will be left with an interesting decision as to whether they will need to match Southampton’s valuation.

Tottenham also battling Everton for Jack Grealish

It is not just Dibling that these two sides are fighting over this summer.

Tottenham are also keen to sign Grealish, but they will face similar issues when it comes to the player’s salary demands.

In recent hours, it has been suggested that Manchester City want Grealish’s wages covered entirely if he is to depart on loan.

Of course, Spurs will be able to offer Grealish with Champions League football, but there is plenty on offer at Everton.
