Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Juventus striker Jonathan David this summer, according to reports.
The North London side are reportedly looking to bring in a new central forward after the season and have earmarked the Canada international as a potential target.
David only joined Juventus last summer but has largely struggled to establish himself as a regular starter for the Serie A giants this season, scoring just seven goals in 39 appearances across all competitions.
Tottenham previously looked at signing David following his impressive campaign with Lille last season, when he scored 25 goals in 49 games.
Tottenham Keen on Jonathan David
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Tottenham are among the clubs monitoring David ahead of the summer, when they could move to bring in a new striker.
Spurs are likely seeking a replacement for Randal Kolo Muani, who is set to return to Paris Saint-Germain once his loan finishes.
While Dominic Solanke, who became their record signing in the summer of 2024, remains their first-choice striker, the England international has struggled with injuries since joining.
The 28-year-old made only 27 league appearances in his first season in north London, and another 11 so far this term, after missing four months with an ankle setback.
Since returning in mid-January, Solanke has scored three times in nine Premier League appearances, with Spurs failing to win any of those games.
David, meanwhile, has also struggled this season, scoring just five goals in 28 Serie A appearances for Juventus.
The 'outstanding' Canada international added another two goals in the Champions League, where Juventus were eliminated in the first knockout round.
Tottenham Outline Igor Tudor Plan
Tottenham are set to part ways with manager Igor Tudor at the end of the season, with two managers already identified as potential replacements.
Speaking on GIVEMESPORT’s Market Madness podcast, journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Spurs have already decided on Tudor’s future and are targeting Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino as successors.
De Zerbi is available after leaving his role at Marseille earlier this year, while Pochettino is managing the United States at their home World Cup this summer.
The Argentine previously spent five years at Tottenham from 2014 to 2019, leading the club to the Champions League final in his final full season in charge.
