Tottenham Hotspur are long-term admirers of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, and his representatives are constantly holding talks with the north London club, according to TEAMtalk.

Spurs could be in the market for a new striker in the coming months, with some of their options struggling for various reasons. Randal Kolo Muani is yet to find his first Premier League goal since his arrival on loan, while Richarlison is currently on the treatment table due to injury.

Dominic Solanke is now back in the fold, but he's spent a large portion of the season out injured. Mathys Tel is another option for Thomas Frank through the middle of attack, but the young French forward was recently removed from Tottenham's Champions League squad.

Tottenham Hold Talks for 'Elite' Striker

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have been in regular contact with the representatives of Juventus striker Vlahovic. The Serbian striker, who has been described as 'one of Europe's elite No.9s' by TEAMtalk journalist Graeme Bailey, is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League in the near future.

A move in the January transfer window might appear unlikely, simply because Vlahovic is currently out injured. The 25-year-old has been out since the end of November, and he's not expected to return to action until the beginning of March, making a move in the summer more likely.

Before his injury, Vlahovic was regularly involved for Juventus, playing 13 games in Serie A this season. Juventus have Jonathan David and Lois Openda as centre-forward options at the moment, so an exit for Vlahovic wouldn't be a surprise, especially with his contract expiring at the end of the current season. As a result, Spurs could secure themselves a bargain deal.

Vlahovic Deal a Bargain in Summer

A move for Vlahovic in the summer transfer window would make a lot of sense, with the Serbian striker out of contract. Although Spurs would have to pay his wages, it would still be a low-risk, bargain move, with plenty of upside potential.

Kolo Muani is only currently on loan at Spurs, meaning he could leave the club later this year, while Richarlison and Solanke have endured injury troubles. As a result, signing a new striker could become a priority in the coming months, and Vlahovic might be one of the best options on the market, especially if available on a free transfer.
