Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left fuming over the latest Premier League fixture changes, accusing the league of putting profit over supporters.

The Premier League has gone on to rescheduled some of Tottenham Hotspur’s fixtures for the festive period.

Spurs are competing on multiple fronts, including in the Champions League, Carabao Cup, FA Cup and Premier League, and as such, fixtures are expected to come thick and fast.

In December, that looks very much the case, with Tottenham set to play three league fixtures in the space of 16 days.

The first clash comes at St James’ Park on Tuesday at 8:15 pm, before Tottenham take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the 14th, and then host Liverpool at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 20th.

Tottenham fans voice frustration over Premier League schedule

Spurs supporters have not been pleased with the latest scheduling that has placed them with an away trip to St James’ Park on a Tuesday night.

Many have voiced their displeasure towards the Premier League on social media, describing the fixture time as inconsiderate to travelling fans.

MORE SPURS STORIES

A number of fans accused the Premier League of not caring about supporters. One said: “Tuesday 8:15 kickoff in SJP? Just do not even show up at that point, take the 0 points and save time.”

Another added: “Yikes, Tuesday night kick-offs – tough for the fans.” A different fan commented: “@SkySportsPL 8:15 on a Tuesday all the way to Newcastle… but football’s for the fans, right!”

The criticism did not stop there, with another supporter saying: “8:15 pm on a Tuesday night is a massive middle finger up to fans. Disgusting time for a match.”

One more added: “That Newcastle day and time is absolutely vile. No thought for fans whatsoever.”

Another Tottenham fan remarked: “Why is it always Newcastle away that moves to a terrible KO day/time for the fans… early Saturday/Sunday, midweek evening… fans getting screwed over all the time.” One final supporter summed it up bluntly: “20:15 on a Tuesday night, nice one Sky.”

Spurs record against Newcastle offers little comfort

Newcastle United have been a difficult opponent for Tottenham to face in recent years, with the Lilywhites without a win since 2023, when they managed a home victory against the Magpies.

One would have to go back to 2021 for the last time Spurs secured a win at St James’ Park in the Premier League.
