Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank will assess Richarlison during pre-season preparations before a decision is made on the future of the Brazilian international, according to Sky Sports.
The 28-year-old Spurs star has been linked with an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club this summer, with Galatasaray keen on recruiting his services, preferably on loan.
However, Sky Sports are claiming that Richarlison wants to remain with the North Londoners and prove himself, but he may have to do so in the coming weeks as Frank runs the rule over his players before deciding who leaves and who stays for the new season.
The former Everton forward joined Spurs for an initial £50m in July 2022, weighing in with 20 goals and ten assists in 90 games across all competitions so far.
It is an underwhelming return given his fee and the huge expectations the club had when they signed him, with his injury struggles keeping him from playing regularly and being in peak form.
Richarlison has missed 58 games for Tottenham over the last three campaigns, with issues ranging from calf injury, groin injury, hamstring and knee problems regularly troubling him.
Spurs want to add attackers to their squad this summer and have already identified West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus as a transfer target after opting against signing his Crystal Palace counterpart Eberechi Eze, and signing the Ghana international could see them sell Richarlison.
They believe the Hammers star could be signed for £60m despite his £85m release clause, and talks are believed to be ongoing between both sides.
Richarlison has two more years on his contract, and this summer will be the best time to sell him, but he has a chance to convince Frank of his fitness and quality in the coming weeks, and he has to take it.
