Tottenham Hotspur are looking to pick up their first win, and score their first goal, of the Premier League season when they welcome Everton to the capital on Saturday evening.
Tottenham fans came into the season full of hope, with the north London outfit making 10 first-team signings during the summer transfer window, spending more than £300m in the process.
They were immediately humbled on the opening day after a 3-0 defeat to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, before following that up with a 2-0 home defeat by Newcastle United, and a goalless draw away at Nottingham Forest.
Spurs' lack of threat in front of goal will be a major concern for Roberto De Zerbi, but the Italian may have the opportunity to tweak his frontline for the visit of the Toffees.
Tottenham will have to do it without four players, who have been ruled out of the game.
The main headline in recent days has been the injury suffered by summer addition Mykhailo Mudryk, which could keep him on the sidelines for up to eight weeks.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference about the setback, De Zerbi said:
It was a stupid injury of Mudryk, and we hope he can be back as soon as possible. For him and for us.
"For him, because he suffered too much and for us because we lost one player, an important player."
Joining him on the sidelines are long-term absentees Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, while there has also been an update on Dejan Kulusevski, who is edging towards a comeback after a year out of action.
De Zerbi added: "No, Kulusevski is not working with us in the last week, not big problem. The normal problem when one player is out for a long time, like Mudryk."
The Italian did share two pieces of positive news for supporters though.
Maddison Available to Start vs Everton
In better news for Spurs fans, James Maddison is fit and available after suffering a shoulder injury against Brentford on the opening day.
The 29-year-old sat out their last two Premier League games, but he could be even be in line for a start on Saturday, following Mudryk's injury.
De Zerbi added: "Maddison, yes (he is available vs Everton). I'm happy when all my players are available. It's maybe a problem for me because my decisions are not easy, but I want to manage all players together."
Unlike Maddison, Mohammed Kudus has been involved from the substitutes' bench against Newcastle and Forest, and he is 'very close' to being able to start against Everton.
De Zerbi has waxed lyrical about the Ghana international's versatility, and reaffirmed how desperate he was to sign the player for Brighton previously.
"I think very close to being ready to start the game. An amazing thing for me.
I wanted Mo Kudus when I was in Brighton. I pushed a lot to bring him before he went to West Ham. He can play as a winger, as a number 10 and as a striker also and he is an amazing player.
Savio and Omar Marmoush seem nailed on to start against Everton, so now De Zerbi must decide whether he brings in Kudus and Maddison in place of Conor Gallagher and Mathys Tel on Saturday.
