Tottenham will be exploring attacking signings on deadline day as well as holding out hope for a late change to Andy Robertson’s situation.

Robertson looked set to complete a permanent switch to Tottenham earlier in the window, but Liverpool blocked the move due to a lack of depth at left-back.

Arne Slot’s side are working hard to bring Kostas Tsimikas back from his loan spell at Roma, but with no recall option in the Greek international’s contract, they are struggling to negotiate his return.

Spurs remain interested in Robertson, and Thomas Frank would jump at the opportunity to add some more experience to his squad.

Tottenham working on new attacking deals

According to football.london, Tottenham’s main focus will be on deals to improve their attacking ranks, but they will make a late check on Robertson’s status on deadline day.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The North London side had agreed a deal in principle to sign the Scotland international, and Liverpool’s win over Qarabag was meant to be his final game for the club.

However, no deal will be finalised unless the Reds can bring Tsimikas back to Anfield.

While they wait for movement on Liverpool’s end, Spurs will be aiming to strengthen their forward ranks with Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche still a target in the closing stages of the winter window.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has long been linked with a move to North London, and could help solve some of Frank’s issues on the right-hand side.

Thomas Frank given Tottenham lifeline

Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Sunday evening has given Frank something to build on in the coming weeks.

The second half performance was superb from Spurs, as they came back from two goals down to rescue a point against Pep Guardiola’s side.

After 45 minutes, it had looked as if no amount of deadline day business could rescue the Dane’s reputation in North London.

However, Frank will now be pushing hard to get deals over the line before the window shuts, to help support the likes of Xavi Simons and Dominic Solanke, who were both instrumental in the comeback.
