Fabio Paratici has been widely linked with a return to Tottenham this summer.

In 2023, Paratici was handed a 30-month ban from football after his former club, Juventus, were found guilty of false accounting. As a result, the Italian was forced to step down as managing director of football at Tottenham.

There have been some major changes at senior level at Tottenham this summer, with Donna-Maria Cullen stepping down from the board, while Vinai Venkatesham has been appointed chief executive officer.

And it looks as though another change is on the cards with Spurs set to take a trip down memory lane with Paratici.

Tottenham ‘to announce full-time role for Paratici’

As reported by The Telegraph (23 June), Tottenham have a consultancy contract with Paratici until the end of August.

MORE SPURS STORIES

There is little doubt that Paratici would have already begun working on potential transfer targets, but his current agreement with Spurs means Daniel Levy is in no rush to appoint the 52-year-old in a full-time position.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Paratici will continue with Spurs once his consultancy contract ends, with an announcement to be made.

“I don’t think this information changes too much,” Wenham said.

“Tottenham will probably just announce that Paratici will be starting in his new position from whenever his consultancy contract runs out.

“As I’ve said previously, he’s been around all season, and he’ll be involved in the discussions that are taking place now. I expect him to become a full-time member of staff under this new structure at Tottenham.”

Paratici will need to work his magic on summer signings

Tottenham fans must feel as though they are on the outside looking in when they watch the other ‘big six’ in the market.

While Levy has a reputation for being selective when it comes to summer signings, supporters would have been expecting a change following their UEFA Europa League win.

To add to this, the chairman made his aspirations to win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League clear earlier this month. Thus, it would not have been too far-fetched to expect a monstrous transfer window.

However, this hasn’t been the case, and fans are already preparing for another trophyless season, but with around two months left to find recruits, there is still optimism that Tottenham can end the summer on a high note.
