Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic wants to move on this summer, even if Spurs manage to stay in the Premier League.

Sport report that his agent, Pini Zahavi, is already at work drumming up interest. He is currently trying to talk Barcelona into a move for the 19-year-old.

Tottenham future uncertain

The newspaper reports that Luka Vuskovic’s future will be decided in the coming weeks. He is currently a man in demand after an impressive season on loan at HSV Hamburg from Tottenham.

He’s become of the Bundesliga’s breakout stars and one of the ‘most sought-after defenders’ on the market.

His agent, Pini Zahavi, was in Barcelona this week and met the club on Friday to discuss various business. He is ‘pressing’ the Catalans to sign the Tottenham defender. For now, Barcelona’s attention is elsewhere.

They would also face resistance from Tottenham, who don’t want to sell the youngster this summer. Whether they will have any say is another matter.

From €15m to €60m

Luka Vuskovic is a man in demand and has seen his value rise from €15m to €60m this season. Spurs paid €11m so stand to earn a huge profit in any sale.

His future will likely be tied to what happens to Tottenham this season. If they are relegated, there will likely be a mass exodus. Vuskovic would be among those looking to leave.

In fact, Sport report that he wants to leave regardless of what happens to Tottenham. That is why his representatives are working and pushing Barcelona to make a bid. The Catalans are, for now, resisting. They would prefer to spend big sums on a more experienced defender if they have to.
