The full-time whistle has blown between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton in the Premier League, and the player ratings are in.
Below, we have given each Tottenham player a performance rating on a scale of 0-10, with 10 highest score achievable for an impressive performance.
How the Tottenham players rated vs Everton
Guglielmo Vicario – The Italian once again looked impressive between the sticks, making several smart stops. In the second half, Beto called him into action with an overhead kick, but Vicario was equal to the task, preventing a clear goal-scoring opportunity. 8.
Pedro Porro – Held his ground against Jack Grealish for most of the game when Everton looked to attack down Spurs’ right. Also produced a lovely assist for Tottenham’s second with a pinpoint delivery from a corner. 8.
Kevin Danso – Picked up from where he left off in the first half, snuffing out Everton’s threat and reacting quickly to block Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s attempt early in the second half to keep Tottenham ahead. 7.
Micky van de Ven – A true captain’s performance from the Dutch centre-back, who did his damage in the opposition box, grabbing two goals from corners and taking his tally to five for the season while helping Tottenham to a fourth clean sheet. 10.
Djed Spence – Much like in the first half, Iliman Ndiaye continued to pose a threat down Tottenham’s left, and Spence struggled to contain the Senegalese winger, who created a couple of good opportunities for Everton. 6.
MORE SPURS STORIES
Rodrigo Bentancur – The Uruguayan grabbed an assist to set Tottenham on their way and was strong defensively, making several blocks, headers and interceptions as Spurs looked to see out their two-goal lead. 8.
Joao Palhinha – Spurs may have struggled to create from open play, but in a match where defending was key in the final 45 minutes, Palhinha and Bentancur, in the holding roles, were crucial. Palhinha did the defensive work superbly, winning headers and making important blocks. 8.
Xavi Simons – The Dutchman was more involved in this one, as Frank allowed him to drift inside alongside Mohammed Kudus. However, he did not create much and could have done better with his decision-making in the final third. Later replaced by Lucas Bergvall. 6.
Mohammed Kudus – No stranger to playing in the attacking midfield role, which is where Frank deployed him, though Tottenham still struggled to create from open play. The Ghanaian worked tirelessly off the ball, tracking back well, and his corner deliveries remained excellent. 7.
Randal Kolo Muani – The Frenchman showed throughout that he is capable of leading the line, linking play effectively with those around him. Still working his way to full fitness, he was replaced on the hour mark. 6.
Brennan Johnson – Solid performance overall, even if his best work did not come in Everton’s box. Johnson was willing to put in the defensive shift, often helping Porro against Grealish. 7.
Substitues
Richarlison – The former Everton man came off the bench to replace Kolo Muani and was full of running. He had a good chance to make it three but fired straight at Jordan Pickford after a James Tarkowski error. Made up for it with an assist for Pape Matar Sarr’s late goal. 7.
Lucas Bergvall – The young Swede replaced Simons and slotted into the number ten role on the left-hand side, but did not make much of an impact in the final third. 6.
