Tottenham Hotspur have secured the loan exit for one of their young talents shortly before the end of the mid-season transfer window.

Randal Kolo Muani has been in the news a lot in recent days, with Juventus reportedly keen on signing the striker.

However, there were questions over whether any progress would be made on this deal, with Richarlison currently unavailable with a hamstring injury.

It now seems even more unlikely that Muani will leave Spurs before the window slams shut, as there has been a significant move concerning one of the club’s other centre forwards.

Dane Scarlett joins Hibernian

Tottenham Hotspur have today announced that Dane Scarlett has joined Hibernian on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Scottish Premiership club recorded a stunning victory over their bitter rivals Hearts last month and they currently sit fifth in the league table.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Scarlett has only made five appearances for Spurs this season, although he has also featured three times in Premier League 2, registering a goal and an assist.

Hibernian should be a good fit for Scarlett

Tottenham have enjoyed loaning players to Scotland in recent years. Cameron Carter-Vickers originally joined Celtic on a temporary deal, while Mikey Moore is currently playing for Rangers. Also, Alfie Dorrington spent last season on loan at Aberdeen and returned to the club in the summer, but his second spell there was less successful.

Scarlett will be hoping to have a positive time in Edinburgh and there is every possibility he will do well. Kieron Bowie has just left Hibernian, which means a number nine spot has opened up in the first-team.

With Hibs fighting for a spot in the top six before the league is split in two and European football next season still possible, Scarlett will have plenty to compete for.
