Harry Kane has recently entered the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena, and he's yet to sign an extension with Bayern Munich.
Tim Sherwood reckons Harry Kane would be open to joining Barcelona, unless a Premier League title-contending club picks up the phone. The 33-year-old striker, whom Bayern Munich signed from Tottenham Hotspur in July 2023 for £86.4million (€100m), has recently entered the final year of his contract at the Allianz Arena, casting an element of doubt over his future.
Last month, Kane provided an update on his stance in Germany. During an interview with FourFourTwo after receiving the second European Golden Shoe of his career, the England international claimed he no longer feels as strongly about a return to the Premier League and remains focused on winning silverware with Vincent Kompany's side.
"When I first left [Spurs], for sure it was something that I thought I'd definitely be coming back," said Kane. "That itch isn't there as much anymore. I'm extremely happy here in Munich.
"It's opened my eyes to a totally different world of football outside of England. I never say never, but, for now, I'm concentrating on Bayern Munich, and we'll see what the future holds."

Despite verbally committing himself to the Bavarians, Kane has not yet put pen to paper on a contract extension. And Sherwood reckons the Three Lions captain would in fact be open to coming back to the English top flight, so long as he can compete for the title.
"I think Harry Kane has still got six years left in him, and he'd probably tell me seven or eight," said the former Tottenham boss. "He's durable.
"He can play, he's fit as a fiddle, and he plays the game in his mind. He's not one of them who just tears around a pitch and pleases the sports scientists to clock up the numbers.
"He's actually thinking about playing. He knows when to stand still, knows when to move. He's still as technically good as he was, you know, five or six years ago.
"So yeah, there'd be a lot of takers for Harry Kane if he ever comes available, but why would he want to leave there at the moment?"
Sherwood added: "Unless he could leave to go to a Premier League team, possibly, who was looking to challenge and win things, then he isn’t going to leave a winning team.
"Barcelona would probably have their hand up for him, and they look like they're strong at the moment. He might fancy that. Unless it's a team who he feels can win the Premier League, then he wouldn't be coming back here, I don't think."
So, if Tottenham want to get their hands on Kane, Roberto De Zerbi needs to mount a bid for the Premier League title sooner rather than later. And with Spurs sitting rock bottom of the table after the first five games of the season, that seems a long way off at present.
