Tottenham have been urged to part company with Conor Gallagher just months after he signed from Atletico Madrid.
The Lilywhites looked to have pulled off a great piece of business by bringing the England international to North London for £35million in January.
They beat Aston Villa in the race to land the midfielder, despite Unai Emery’s side sitting in third place in the Premier League at the time.
That looked like a statement of intent, but the 26-year-old has gone on to be terrible for the N17 outfit.
Spurs probably regret signing Gallagher at this stage, with a summer exit potentially already in the pipeline.

Tottenham must sell Conor Gallagher immediately
The Spurs faithful felt as if they had got one over Aston Villa when the ex-Chelsea man made the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Villans were strongly linked to the Atleti man, but were beaten to the punch as the Lilywhites looked to add a midfielder with Premier League experience to their ranks.
Gallagher may fit that bill, but he certainly hasn’t represented what either Thomas Frank or Igor Tudor needed on their sides.
The Englishman hasn’t found a place in the starting XI, and with relegation now staring him in the face, a departure could be on the cards.
Former scout Bryan King has urged Spurs to move him on immediately as he continues to struggle during the free fall in N17.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “I’d have him out the door as quickly as I could in the summer.
“Spurs are struggling, so they bring in an international for big money, and I’ve hardly seen him.
“When he plays, he has no impact, and it looks like they’ve got another player with no heart on the pitch.
“They need players to put their lives on the line, and they aren’t right now.”
Gallagher could help get Tudor sacked at Tottenham, but may not be far behind him through the exit door down Hotspur Way.
Gallagher has been shocking for Tottenham
There could be calls that these claims are a step too far, but King is spot on with the lack of influence the midfielder has provided.
Since coming back to the Premier League, he has contributed just one assist across his nine appearances, with just seven of those as starts.
A total of 0.56 expected goals and 0.49 expected assists across those games certainly isn’t a good look and isn’t helped by his other exploits.
Just five dribbles, seven chances created, and a 45 per cent duel success rate doesn’t paint a good picture for someone who was supposed to transform Tottenham’s season.
