Tottenham have less than a week remaining in the transfer window to finalise their business, and there is plenty of work to be done.

Spurs have enjoyed a good start to the season on the pitch under Thomas Frank, with two wins, two clean sheets and five goals in the Premier League.

Tottenham were outstanding in their victory away at Manchester City, but it has been a different story off the pitch as the squad is arguably weaker than it was last season, and injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski have not been addressed.

Frank will want more additions before the deadline, but as it stands, Tottenham have made some good additions but not enough as they aim to compete in the Champions League.

Who have Tottenham bought and sold so far this summer?

Tottenham won the Europa League and finished 17th last season, in a very mixed campaign for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, and while they did change manager, it was clear that more quality and depth is needed in the squad.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Five players have arrived on loan or permanent deals, with two of them making previous loan spells permanent, but Daniel Levy needs to add to this if Tottenham are to compete well in the Champions League.

Mohammed Kudus was a blockbuster arrival from West Ham, while Joao Palhinha scored away at Man City following his loan move from Bayern Munich.

It has been a busy summer of outgoings as well, and some talented youngsters have headed out on loan, while captain and legend Son Heung-Min departed for LAFC.

What will Tottenham do before September 1 transfer deadline?

Tottenham are aiming to bring in more signings, but were beaten to Eberechi Eze and Piero Hincapie by Arsenal.

A new midfielder is a key priority after the injuries to Maddison and Kulusevski, but a winger is also of interest, with Man City star Savinho still being targeted.

A centre-back is still being targeted, and this could also mean Luka Vuskovic heads out on loan to Hamburg in Germany.

Spurs have spent significantly less than their rivals this summer, but while there is hope that could change before the deadline, Frank may have to deal with a weakened squad for the season.
