Tottenham turn their attention to the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday as they face Doncaster Rovers on home soil.

Thomas Frank’s side secured a valuable point against Brighton by coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

Indeed, it has been an encouraging start to the campaign for Frank, whose only defeat came against Bournemouth.

As for Doncaster, they will be hoping to end a run of two straight defeats, having enjoyed a superb start to the season.

Randal Kolo Muani could make his domestic debut for Spurs, having appeared as a substitute in the Champions League.

The forward was absent from Frank’s squad to face Brighton due to a dead leg, but could return for the Carabao Cup clash.

Tottenham enter the competition in the third round due to their participation in the Champions League this season.

Last term, the Lilywhites reached the semi-finals, only to be defeated over two legs by eventual runners-up Liverpool.

Doncaster recorded a remarkable 4-0 win away at Middlesbrough in the first round of the competition before defeating Accrington Stanley 2-0 away from home.

Frank’s side are almost a certainty to reach the next round and are given an 89.1 per cent chance of winning, according to Opta’s supercomputer.

Understandably, the League One outfit are given just a 3.8 per cent chance of victory, while a draw is 7.1 per cent likely.

What changes could Thomas Frank make to his Spurs side?

Tottenham’s defeat to Bournemouth is the only blemish on home soil, and Frank will be confident of avoiding an upset against Doncaster.

Given how strong his squad is, the Dane is likely to rotate significantly against the League One team.

In goal, Guglielmo Vicario is expected to make way for Antonin Kinsky, while Ben Davies, Kevin Danso, and Archie Gray could receive rare starts.

However, it is in attack where there will surely be significant changes, with Mathys Tel, Dane Scarlett, and Kolo Muani in line for a chance.

While Frank will be wary of the threat Doncaster could pose, he surely has too much firepower.
