Fabrizio Romano has revealed who the Tottenham hierarchy see as the ‘ideal candidate’ to take over as the permanent head coach.
Tottenham fans have made it clear that they want Pochettino back at N17 once his contract with the USA ends after the World Cup.
The former Spurs manager has kept his options open ahead of the summer and has played down the speculation over his future.
Some sources have claimed that Tottenham have already begun working on bringing Pochettino back to the club, but it has now emerged that he might not be the club’s top target.
Roberto De Zerbi is reported to be Tottenham’s top managerial target
Several sources have claimed over recent weeks that Roberto De Zerbi is another manager admired by the Tottenham hierarchy.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Italian, who left Marseille last month, is Spurs’ ‘dream candidate’, with the Lilywhites seeing the former Brighton man as the ideal fit for the club.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “If there is a dream candidate now for Tottenham, it’s Roberto De Zerbi. The former Brighton and Marseille manager is seen as the ideal candidate for the Tottenham job.
