The summer window is heading into crucial weeks as the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham work on huge deals. The Gunners are assessing new targets after missing out on Vinicius Jr, with Julian Alvarez a key target for attack and Ezri Konsa for the defence. An approach for Tottenham captain Cristian Romero also failed. Bruno Guimaraes has been confirmed as the club’s fourth summer signing after passing his medical earlier in the week.

Manchester United are desperate for a new left-back, but have admitted defeat in attempts to sign Lewis Hall after Newcastle ruled out a sale so have turned to Jorge Salinas. Chelsea are set to confirm the arrival of Pep Chavarria, but could lose both Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto to Manchester City.

Liverpool have agreed a shock deal to sign Ronald Araujo on loan, but remain keen to wrap up a deal for Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye. Tottenham are exploring a deal for Georges Mikautadze, and remain keen on Cody Gakpo and Savinho, as Micky van de Ven agrees a new contract and Manor Solomon heads to West Ham. Ferran Torres set for PSG switch after Arsenal links

It looks like Ferran Torres won’t be heading to Arsenal this summer.

The World Cup final match-winner had been very tentatively linked with a switch to north London this week after Vinicius Jr’s decision to extend his contract at Real Madrid.

However, Paris Saint-Germain had already made a lot of progress towards a deal to sign the former Manchester City star from Barcelona.

According to to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has already been reached on personal terms, with PSG to submit an official bid soon as club-to-club talks accelerate.

Manor Solomon set for West Ham medical

Here’s more from Standard Sport’s Sam Tabuteau on Manor Solomon’s move from Tottenham to West Ham...

West Ham are closing in on the permanent signing of Tottenham winger Manor Solomon.

Standard Sport understands that while a deal for the Israel international has yet to be finalised, it is now near to completion.

West Ham are believed to have reached an initial agreement over a transfer worth £5m up front, plus a further £2m in add-ons. Spurs have also reportedly added a 10 per cent sell-on clause into the deal.

Tottenham retain sell-on for Manor Solomon

More now on Manor Solomon’s impending move from Tottenham to West Ham.

We’ve already heard that the deal between the London rivals is worth an initial £5m up front, plus a further £2m in add-ons.

Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport now adds that Spurs will also retain a 10 per cent sell-on as part of the agreement.

West Ham agree Manor Solomon deal with Tottenham

Manor Solomon is leaving Tottenham for London rivals West Ham.

The Israel winger is following the opposite path to Mateus Fernandes, who swapped the relegated Hammers for Spurs in an £85m transfer earlier this summer.

The two clubs have been locked in talks for some time over Solomon, but Fabrizio Romano says a deal is now agreed that will see West Ham pay an initial £5m plus a further £2m in add-ons.

The former Fulham man, 27, will travel for a medical tomorrow having agreed an initial three-year contract at the London Stadium until 2029 that includes the option for a further 12 months beyond that.

Nottingham Forest set to sign £34m Ousmane Diomande

Nottingham Forest closing in on the signing of Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande.

According to reports, the deal is expected to be worth around €40m (£34.3m), with talks between the two clubs having been ongoing for several weeks.

An agreement has now been reached and Diomande is set to undergo a medical.

Oliver Glasner has driven Forest’s interest after previously trying to sign the defender as Crystal Palace manager.

Tottenham agree new Micky van de Ven contract

Micky van de Ven has agreed a new Tottenham contract amid interest from Barcelona and others.

News emerged earlier this week that the Dutch defender had entered into contract talks with Spurs, who have already agreed new deals with the likes of Pedro Porro and Antonin Kinsky this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, an agreement has now been reached between Tottenham and Van de Ven on a new long-term contract that includes a salary increase, with a sale never considered in this window.

The BBC have reported that it’s a five-year deal, insisting that Van de Ven was considering his future at Spurs before the arrival of manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Official! Ipswich sign Lukic

Sasa Lukic has left Fulham for Ipswich in a deal worth around £9million.

The Serbian midfielder has signed a four-year contract until 2030 with the newly-promoted Tractor Boys.

The 29-year-old becomes the second player to join Ipswich from Fulham this summer, following defender Issa Diop.

Man City keen on Barcelona youngster

Manchester City are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Tommy Marques.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are open to selling the 19-year-old with a buy-back clause, while City could loan him to Girona to ensure regular first-team minutes.

Sporting Braga and Borussia Dortmund are also in the race for Marques, with Braga currently pushing hardest to sign the youngster.

Arsenal have made contact with Ferran Torres’ representatives as they search for a new attacking option.

According to Football Transfers, the Gunners are exploring a move for the Barcelona forward after missing out on Vinicius Jr, with Torres now among the alternatives being considered.

Arsenal are monitoring the Spain international’s situation as they continue to search for a new winger ahead of the season.

Aston Villa close in on Ruggeri as Atleti push for Romero

Aston Villa are reportedly closing in on the signing of Atletico Madrid defender Matteo Ruggeri.

The clubs have agreed a fee in the region of £17m for the 24-year-old Italian, who is set to move to Villa Park.

Ruggeri is expected to be a direct replacement for Lucas Digne, who joined PSG earlier in the transfer window.

That will also free up space for Atletico to sign Tottenham captain Cristian Romero.
