Last Word on Football brings you the latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of Tottenham vs Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Spurs will be buoyed by their memorable win at Stamford Bridge last weekend and have lost just one of their last six Premier League games. The three games since the international break have seen some much-improved performances from Roberto De Zerbi’s side, something they’ll be hoping to continue when Palace visit north London.

Pierre Sage enjoyed EFL Cup success in midweek but has won just one of his last five league games, that being a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest earlier in the month. Their last league outing ended in a 2-0 home defeat against Newcastle United, though the Eagles have won each of their last two visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Team News

Roberto De Zerbi confirmed in his press conference that both James Maddison and Destiny Udogie are available for the visit of Palace.

Maddison was forced off early in the second half of the win at Chelsea with a groin problem, while Udogie has not featured since the draw at Manchester United earlier in October.

It wasn’t all good news for Spurs, though, who will be without Savio, Tosin Adarabioyo, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Lucas Bergvall, all of whom remain unavailable with various injuries.

Spurs will also be without Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert, who continue their rehabilitation from serious knee injuries, while Rodrigo Bentancur serves the final game of his three-match ban. Richarlison remains unavailable after being omitted from the Premier League squad.

Expect a similar side to the one that started against Chelsea, perhaps with changes in the full-back areas as Pedro Porro and Udogie come in for Archie Gray and Andy Robertson.

Crystal Palace Team News

Palace were boosted by the return of first-choice goalkeeper Dean Henderson in Wednesday’s win at Craven Cottage, with the Englishman expected to start ahead of Walter Benitez against Spurs.

Sage confirmed that Jean-Philippe Mateta was merely rested in midweek and is available for the trip to Spurs, though the Eagles will continue to be without Ismaila Sarr, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Chadi Riad.

The Palace boss also mentioned that summer signing Quinten Timber could return on Saturday, along with forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, who missed the last two games against Newcastle and Fulham.

Wednesday also saw the return of Cheick Doucoure to the starting XI. He had not played a competitive game for Palace since January 2025 and gives Sage another option in the middle of the park.

Having made plenty of changes in the cup in midweek, a more conventional Palace side is expected in north London on Saturday evening.

The Last Word: Tottenham vs Crystal Palace Prediction

Spurs will be looking to continue their recent league form and make it three wins in a row on Saturday evening, but they will be up against a Palace side desperate to turn their Premier League fortunes around.

If Tottenham replicate the sort of display they put on against Chelsea, they should come through this one without much incident. However, Palace, boosted by the return of players such as Henderson and Doucoure, will provide a stern test for De Zerbi and his team.

Should Spurs get out in front, they should have enough to get past their south London counterparts, but an early Palace goal could bring back familiar nerves among the home crowd. A hard-fought Spurs win wouldn’t be surprising.
