Our under-18s return to action on Tuesday morning with a north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at the Sobha Realty Training Centre. Kick-off is set for 11am (UK time) on February 17.

We go into the game off the back of an impressive comeback win over Birmingham City. After falling behind, goals from Ceadach O’Neill, Maalik Hashi and Alex Marciniak secured all three points and extended our positive momentum heading into derby day.

The opposition

Spurs currently sit third in the Under-18 Premier League table on 28 points, with a record of eight wins, four draws and three defeats. They are five points behind leaders Chelsea, while Crystal Palace and West Ham United are also level on 28 points, underlining how competitive the division has been.

Tottenham drew 1-1 away at Crystal Palace in their last outing and have been in strong defensive form, conceding just once across their previous four league fixtures, three of which ended in victory.

The reverse fixture earlier this season was a heated encounter that finished 2-2. O’Neill gave us an early lead before Luca Williams-Barnett struck twice to put Spurs ahead. Teshaun Murisa’s second-half effort earned us a point in a game that saw three red cards shown.
