Heung-min Son’s first strike in an LAFC shirt after leaving Tottenham has been adjudged to be the Goal of the Year in Major League Soccer.
The Tottenham legend is no stranger to scoring worldies, with Spurs fans having watched him hit the top corner from outside the box with both feet time and again.
Son even won the Puskas Award for his incredible solo goal against Burnley back in 2020, which Spurs fans will never forget.
The forward has been finding the back of the net with incredible consistency since his move to LAFC, but it is his first strike in his new colours that has won him a prestigious award.
Tottenham legend Heung-min Son wins MLS Goal of the Season
Despite being an amazing ball striker, the one thing we did not see Son do much in his decade-long spell at Tottenham is score free-kicks.
There is thus a certain irony that his first goal in LAFC came from a free-kick, with the 33-year-old showing great technique with his side foot to get the ball over the wall and dip under the crossbar.
The goal has been deemed the best strike across the 2025 MLS season, with Son thus adding yet another individual award to his long list of accolades.
