Angus joins as the new Head Coach for the Under-16s after eight years at Leeds United where he has worked across the entirety of the Women’s pathway and, most recently, as the First Team Assistant Manager.
He will lead that age group alongside Stella Calderhead, who will be assistant for both the Under-19s and Under-16s, as they look to build on an impressive last few years at this level, winning the PGA Plate and PGA Trophy in the last two campaigns.
“I feel incredibly proud to be welcomed into Tottenham Hotspur at such an exciting time for the Club,” Angus told us. “The outstanding quality across the Club is clear to see, from the players and coaching staff to wider departments. This is an environment which supports and challenges people to maximise their potential, and one to which I look forward to adding value.
“I’m excited by the ambition of the Club and grateful for the opportunity to utilise my approach, knowledge and experience in player development to further enhance the opportunities for our players to progress through our excellent pathway. I look forward to giving maximum effort and professionalism to the role and contributing to the success we can achieve at Tottenham Hotspur.”
Women’s Academy Technical Coaching Manager, Nick Hardy said: “Angus’s wealth of experience across a variety of levels in the game and considered time in the senior women’s environment will undoubtedly add to our programme on and off the pitch.
“I’m excited to welcome him as a wider part of our technical team and look forward seeing the positive impact he has on the development of this very talented cohort of Under-16s.”
