It's looking like a busy summer transfer window for Tottenham, who are looking to bring in a host of reinforcements for the 2026/2027 season.

A number of players have already signed on the dotted line at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Jan-Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi all joining the club.

Further reinforcements are expected, with Tottenham working on multiple deals at the moment.

Spurs will also be looking to keep hold of some of their key stars as they want to go to the next level and build a deeper and stronger squad.

Some players are likely to look for the exit door due to the lack of European football, and one player appears to have made a U-turn on his future.

Tottenham Star Makes U-Turn

According to a report from Sports Boom, Cristian Romero has made a U-turn on his future at Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The Argentina international has told Spurs that he now wants to stay at the club and help drive the club's revival after a disappointing couple of seasons.

Romero, who has been described as 'world-class', believes he has unfinished business at the club, but he also wants assurances over the direction the club is going in.

The 28-year-old wants guarantees regarding Tottenham's recruitment plans and the long-term vision of the club as they aim to climb the table after a difficult few years.

If Tottenham can keep Romero alongside some of their other senior players, they already appear to be building a very strong squad heading into next season.

Tottenham Keeping Key Stars

Tottenham appear to be doing a good job of keeping hold of some of their key stars in the summer transfer window, alongside the news of Romero, who reportedly wanted to leave the club earlier this year, making a U-turn.

Pedro Porro recently signed a new contract at the club, keeping him tied down until 2031, alongside the new additions that are arriving through the door.

Tottenham are keeping a strong core of their players from last season. Their current stars are clearly happy with the ambition being shown by Spurs in the transfer market.

With De Zerbi as manager, they stand a strong chance of climbing into the top half of the Premier League table next season.
