Yves Bissouma could leave Tottenham with a parting gift as he prepares to move on from North London this summer.

Bissouma has struggled to hit his best form at Tottenham since signing from Brighton three years ago.

The midfielder was iced out by Antonio Conte, and while he looked settled when Ange Postecoglou first arrived, the Mali international’s form soon became inconsistent, and his place in the starting lineup was no longer assured.

As a result, Bissouma is expected to move on from Spurs, but not without leaving a parting gift.

Bissouma could help bring Douglas Luiz to Tottenham

Tottenham are reportedly interested in Douglas Luiz, who is keen to return to the Premier League, with Manchester United also in the running.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The North London club appear to have lost the battle with United to sign Bryan Mbeumo and could be looking to get their revenge.

In addition, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TuttoMercatoWeb (5 July), Juventus are interested in signing Bissouma.

If the midfielder decides to take Juventus up on their offer, they may be more likely to aid Spurs in their pursuit of Luiz.

A swap deal could even be on the cards in what would be a perfect parting gift from Bissouma. As a result, the transfer of both players will be one for Tottenham fans to follow over the next couple of weeks.

Tottenham could regret parting with Bissouma

The Lilywhites signed Bissouma as one of the most promising midfield talents in the Premier League, but he has since disappointed.

However, the midfielder has shown on several occasions that he still has plenty to offer under the correct conditions. There remains every chance that he would blossom under Thomas Frank if given the chance.

It would be a shame to see him flourish elsewhere when he could have excelled in North London.

But with Juventus, along with several other clubs interested this summer, Tottenham may have no choice but to let him leave.
