LONDON -- Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank has played down an apparent show of dissent from Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence as he lamented the worst attacking display of his managerial career.

Tottenham remain third in the Premier League but the frustration among the fans was clear, with the players booed off at half-time and full-time, and particular anger raining down from the UK's largest single-tier stand, the 17,500-capacity South Stand.
Thomas Frank admits the reaction from some Spurs supporters towards his side’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea was “painful”.
Many of the home fans booed their team at the final whistle after a drab 1-0 defeat to their London rivals in which Spurs struggled to create any real chances.
