Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to accelerate a move to sign Manchester City attacker Savinho.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have identified the Brazilian as their 'chosen target' as manager Roberto De Zerbi looks to strengthen in the final third.

Spurs wanted Savinho last summer and are now ready to open talks with Man City again over a move.

He is open to joining the Lilywhites and those at the North London club want him.

Pep Guardiola once claimed that Savinho can become a 'top class player', and a move to Tottenham could get the best out of him.

He has not been able to play regularly at Man City and joining Spurs could give him a chance to play consistently in the Premier League.

Richarlison is expected to leave the club and it appears De Zerbi wants his fellow Brazilian as his direct replacement.

Savinho's ability to impress on both wings is a quality Tottenham could do with, and they could table an official bid for him in the coming days.

The 22-year-old missed out on a place in the Brazil squad for the World Cup and will be desperate to force his way back into the national team.

Spurs have strengthened in the middle of the park with the signings of Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.

Harry Kane helped England fans come to a crucial Thomas Tuchel realization

Harry Kane helped England fans come to a crucial Thomas Tuchel realization - Yahoo Sports
Description

Tottenham Hotspur legend Harry Kane had a tremendous World Cup as the No. 9 and talismanic figure of the Three Lions attack, as he and Jude Bellingham pretty much carried England to the World Cup semifinals, becoming the first duo in the history of the tournament to score six goals each when Jude Bellingham put two past Erling Haaland's Norway in a spirited 2-1 quarterfinals victory.

But despite going ahead 1-0 against Argentina, England blew the game. Thomas Tuchel, as he loves to do, played ultra defensive, moving to a 5-4-1 and playing almost everyone at the back defensively in an effort ot hold on. He ceded all the possession, played like a coward, took his two best players entirely out of the game in Kane and Bellingham, and got dominated with England obviously folding under the insane pressure while giving Lionel Messi and the Argentinian stars all the time to make yet another comeback.

It was mismanagement at its worst, and an issue Tuchel, who never responds to criticism or changes for the better, has run into in the past. England fans were incensed, and it was, in particular, the way Tuchel took the ball out of Kane's hands that infuriated the fan base the most.

Harry Kane got jobbed by Tuchel

Because look, how can you have the best striker on the planet and the Ballon d'Or frontrunner and not get him in positions to keep scoring? Why give up with the game just 1-0 against one of the best teams in the world?

Even when the game was 0-0 or 1-1 and totally up for grabs, England still played like cowards and could not get the ball to Kane. Throughout the tournament, Thomas Tuchel took Harry Kane's quality for granted, forcing him to fight for scraps and score out of nowhere, failing to gameplan specifically to best utilize and put his best players in positions to score.

Tottenham fans were not the only ones upset about this after the game, as pretty much every England fan was disappointed with Tuchel's coaching. And it was obvious from the reactions of the players afterwards, like Jude Bellingham, that they were incredibly frustrated with how Tuchel coached England, and they did not like how easily England were forced to basically give up attacking.

England fans, after watching how little Kane got to impact the game, realize that Tuchel might be a bigger issue than even Gareth Southgate was in terms of holding back England from being true killers internationally. He may be their very own Thomas Frank.

Description

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus director Giovanni Carnevali has hold direct talks with Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi, discussing both Guglielmo Vicario and Richarlison.

Juventus director Carnevali had a remote meeting with Tottenham coach De Zerbi in previous days, according to Gazzetta.

According to Gazzetta, Carnevali contacted De Zerbi to sound out his availability to sell Italy international Vicario who is quickly becoming Juventus' top goalkeeping option after Aston Villa announced they'd not sell Dibu Martinez.

The conversation also involved Brazilian striker Richarlison who has less than a year left in his contract with Spurs and seems unwilling to pen a new deal.

According to the report, Tottenham's asking price for the 29-year-old is around €25m, but Richarlison remains a 'Plan B' for the Bianconeri who still hope to bring Randal Kolo Muani back from PSG.

Ironically, Richarlison scored more goals than Kolo Muani at Tottenham last season as the Brazilian managed 12 while the Frenchman only netted five times.

Tottenham have rejected a £38m bid for Lucas Bergvall and are holding out for £50m - Yahoo Sports
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have rejected an opening bid of around £38 million from Nottingham Forest for Swedish international midfielder Lucas Bergvall.

They are holding out for a package closer to £50 million before sanctioning a summer sale.

Forest are reportedly preparing an improved offer for the 'unstoppable' 20-year-old playmaker, who is their top transfer target.

Forest's pursuit of Bergvall follows the record £116 million sale of midfielder Elliot Anderson to Manchester City.

New manager Oliver Glasner is eager to secure a replacement for Anderson.

Given Bergvall's high ceiling, the Tricky Trees have identified the Swedish starlet as the ideal marquee addition to anchor their long-term midfield plans.

Forest's interest comes in the wake of growing frustration over his reduced role at Tottenham.

Tottenham's acquisitions of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes have left Bergvall's camp concerned about his limited opportunities for regular game time.

Having featured for Sweden at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, Bergvall has expressed his desire for a fresh start and regular first-team football.

Bergvall is under contract until June 2031, giving Spurs significant leverage in negotiations. While the club would prefer to keep the player, his desire to leave has put pressure on their stance.

If Forest meet Tottenham's £50m valuation, Spurs are expected to approve the transfer, freeing up additional funds for their own summer reinforcements.

Tottenham just came to an obvious Djed Spence conclusion

Tottenham just came to an obvious Djed Spence conclusion - Yahoo Sports
Description

Djed Spence produced a 2026 World Cup beyond anyone's expectations, playing elite defense on either flank whenever and wherever England national team manager Thomas Tuchel called upon the Tottenham Hotspur backup.

Criticized heavily before the tournament for his inclusion in the squad over Real Madrid star Trent Alexander-Arnold, Spence proved that Trent's omission was not necessarily a sign that his own inclusion was a mistake.

His defensive work and intensity in the wins over Norway and Mexico were crucial to England get over the line, and he was always willing to put his body on the line to make blocks and clearances while buying his team valuable time on the ball with his runs forward.

Djed Spence has that fighting spirit

Although England fell short to Argentina and blew the game 2-1 to Lionel Messi, Enzo Fernandez, and Lautaro Martinez with awful defending in the end and a cowardly style of football that even Thomas Frank would cringe at, Djed Spence cannot be criticized at all.

Spence was fabulous, especially when England were tied and winning. He had five tackles and two interceptions, clearly leading all players on both teams in terms of defensive interventions despite going one on one with Lionel Messi for much of the match.

He did not fear Messi at all. He got in his face and played smart, yet he did not make any rash challenges or take himself out. The one time Spence did give Messi a cushion, the Barcelona legend punished him with a perfect right footed cross to Lautaro, but Spence cannot be faulted there since he got nicked after barely poking the ball from the No. 10 with another vital tackle.

As Tottenham Hotspur contemplate selling Spence and Inter Milan increase their interest in a possible Denzel Dumfries (now at Real Madrid) replacement this summer, they have come to an obvious conclusion that Spence is a player their squad needs in a tough Premier League and in tough games.

Spurs had a lot of guys who did not have high character or intensity, and Roberto De Zerbi has been changing that by signing fighters like Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Martin Dubravka, Mateus Fernandes, and Sandro Tonali. He is bringing in guys who are willing and able to put the team first, and Spence is the epitome of that.

Tottenham are going to have to get a massive offer they would be crazy to refuse in order to sell Spence, because even in defeat, he showed he is someone Spurs can 100 percent use in 2026/27.

Spence keen on Inter move as Tottenham open to sale – report - Yahoo Sports
Description

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Djed Spence has given the green light to join Inter, and even if Tottenham are open to a sale, their asking price is €35m.

Tottenham full-back Spence has become Inter’s new target after the Nerazzurri failed to sign both Marco Palestra and Anan Khalaili.

The first one joined Chelsea instead of Inter, while Khalaili failed his medical tests before a €25m transfer plus add-ons could be completed.

According to Thursday’s Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, Spence is open to joining Inter, so personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

Tottenham are also open to offers for the ex-Genoa loanee, yet Spurs currently demand €35m for the versatile full-back, who can either play on the right or left flank.

Spence is expected to be Roberto De Zerbi’s second-choice option at right-back in 2026-27, with Spanish international Pedro Porro picked as right-back.

According to Gazzetta, Inter had also enquired about Pedro Porro earlier this summer, but found Tottenham uninterested in the Spaniard’s sale. Porro signed a contract extension until 2031 in North London this past June.

Spence, 25, is under contract with Tottenham until June 2029, but the club holds an option to extend for a further campaign.

Luka Vuskovic could return to Tottenham as 'smart' clause emerges – expert

Luka Vuskovic could return to Tottenham as 'smart' clause emerges – expert - Yahoo Sports
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have struck a "very good deal" with their sale of centre-back Luka Vuskovic to Brighton for a £50million package.

That is according to former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes that the Lilywhites have been "smart" with the way they have structured the transfer.

Vuskovic made it clear that he was keen to leave North London several weeks ago, despite the club viewing him as a future superstar, and they have inserted a 20 per cent sell-on clause as part of the deal.

Wyness has also revealed that Spurs have a "matching clause" as part of their agreement with the Seagulls, giving them automatic rights to match any bids that come in for him in future.

The Scottish businessman has stressed that buying the 19-year-old back in future would not be a cheap deal for Tottenham if he progresses as expected, but did note that a return could be on the cards later down the line.

Vuskovic is expected to be thrown in at the deep end at the Amex Stadium, after dazzling scouts across Europe during his loan spell with Hamburg last term.

Luka Vuskovic money to fund new additions for Tottenham

Everton's former chief Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Tottenham will use the money raised from Vuskovic's sale to fund further additions to their squad ahead of next season.

Spurs paid £12m for Vuskovic back in 2023, and the Scottish businessman has praised them for being able to net a "big profit" on him, plus structure the deal with future benefits.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, Wyness explained how the sale is a good deal for all parties.

"That's quite a smart move from Spurs. Everybody thinks he could turn into one of the great defenders, but as well as that 20 per cent sell-on, I understand they've also got matching rights, which means that they have first right to be able to match any other bid for him," he said.

"So if he does turn out to be a star, they could always bring him back, obviously at a higher price, but nevertheless, they'll be buying the finished article at that time and having a few more years' experience.

"It's a very good deal for Spurs right now. They bought him for £12m so there's a big profit in there for them. That'll go in towards buying other players. They've gone with experience, but they've kept themselves a position with Vuskovic going forward.

"That's the right thing for them to do and for the player to get out there as well. He's going to somewhere that's obviously going to give him a lot of minutes. He is the right player at the right club. So look, I think it's a good move for everybody."

Nottingham Forest 'working hard' to agree Lucas Bergvall deal Nottingham Forest 'working hard' to convince Spurs starlet to join

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Nottingham Forest are working to "convince" Spurs midfielder Lucas Bergvall to join them this summer.

The Swedish starlet sent shockwaves around North London by revealing his desire to leave earlier this summer, and the Reds have identified him as a target to replace Elliot Anderson.

Tottenham are reluctant to lose Bergvall ahead of next season, but could be forced into a sale if the player and his camp are determined to get their way.

Brown made it clear that Forest are "working hard" in their pursuit of Bergvall, and are quietly optimistic of getting a deal done.

Tottenham Hotspur Are Willing To Launch A Move For This Bournemouth Striker: Good Fit For De Zerbi? - Yahoo Sports
Description

In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur are willing to launch a move for Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi. It has been claimed that Spurs are eyeing a £85m move to bring the French forward to North London this off-season.

Kroupi’s Impressive Record In English Football

Kroupi managed to catch the eye at times with his performances as the focal point of Bournemouth’s attack in the previous campaign. The 20-year-old found the back of the net 13 times in 35 matches for the Cherries last season on all fronts.

The French talent is currently among the most gifted forwards in the Premier League. Hence, Spurs would do well to lure him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this off-season.

His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Will Kroupi Be A Good Fit For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi?

Kroupi is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.

The French talent can contribute by scoring his fair share of goals up top. Kroupi is primarily a centre-forward but can also function as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.

We can expect Kroupi to bring more quality and depth to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 20, Kroupi has got his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for the North London club’s needs in this transfer window. He will also help Spurs compete across all competitions over the next few years. Therefore, De Zerbi would be wise to go all out to snap him up before the end of this transfer period.

Description

Manchester City have added Paris Saint-Germain’s teenage sensation Ibrahim Mbaye to their summer recruitment shortlist.

The 18-year-old winger is keen to secure a move, and PSG have reluctantly opened the door to a permanent transfer in order to cash in.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are also monitoring the situation, alongside Bundesliga heavyweights RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Mbaye’s reputation has soared following an impressive campaign on the international stage.

Representing Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, the explosive winger came off the bench in Senegal’s opening match to score a sublime goal against France.

He became the youngest goalscorer in his country’s World Cup history and the youngest African player ever to score at the tournament, at just 18 years and 143 days old.

Mbaye’s pathway at PSG has become increasingly blocked. The winger has struggled to secure regular starts under manager Luis Enrique due to intense competition for places.

Concerned that his development could stall on the bench, Mbaye is eager to leave PSG in search of first-team football elsewhere, although his camp are keen for him to remain in the French capital.

Mbaye has two years remaining on his current contract, so PSG are under no immediate pressure to sell.

Tottenham insider said what fans have been whispering about Souza

Tottenham insider said what fans have been whispering about Souza - Yahoo Sports
Description

Tottenham Hotspur's biggest move of the winter transfer window was signing Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid in terms of the attention it drew, but the most important transfer of the window was 100 percent the signing of Brazilian prospect Souza.

As the world saw at this World Cup, Brazil have a serious problem with quality outside the attacking players, and they are really thin on fullbacks. They had to play veterans or makeshift players out wide defensively, and that is where Souza comes in. The teenage left back is the future of Brazil and the most elite prospect at the fullback position, which is why Spurs made sure to spend what Palmeiras wanted in order to bring him in.

Right now, Tottenham are full at left back. Even if Djed Spence goes, Spurs would still have two experienced Premier League starters in main man Destiny Udogie, whom manager Roberto De Zerbi clearly loves, and No. 2 option Andy Robertson, recently signed as a free agent from Liverpool.

Souza is an underrated topic this summer

That leaves the young Souza as the odd man out, and while he was pretty good for Tottenham Hotspur when he did get action during the 2025/26 season, brief as that was, he needs to get regular minutes in order to truly develop.

Football.London's Alasdair Gold recently addressed the Brazilian's conspicuous absence from Spurs offseason training by stating that Souza has been ill recently. But the real nugget came later in the piece when Gold wrote that Souza is indeed likely to leave on loan this summer 2026 transfer window.

Spurs supporters have been throwing around the idea of Souza as the next big loan candidate for Spurs. Last season's loan superstar Luka Vuskovic was already sold to Brighton, and then Kota Takai and Mikey Moore are more likely than not to receive additional loan spells in 2026/27, especially Takai, whose road to the Spurs lineup is essentially roadblocked.

Tottenham, even if they sell Djed Spence, probably are not going to carry three left backs, and they did not sign Andy Robertson to have him sit every week. Even considering Robbo's age and Destiny Udogie's injury history, that is just not enough minutes to go around for Souza.

Spurs are very high on Souza, just as they were on Luka Vuskovic before his big loan to Hamburg, and Tottenham fans would rejoice a loan similar to that at a club in a top five league with great fans and an environment where he can play in a favorable system every week to boost his confidence - and value.
