Dire Man Utd leave Gary Neville feeling 'sick' before Europa League final as pundit names combined Tottenham XI - TEAMtalk
Description

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed he is extremely worried heading into the club’s Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur, while also revealing just one Old Trafford star would be selected in his combined starting eleven.

Man Utd and Tottenham have both endured terrible Premier League campaigns, occupying 16th and 17th place respectively. They would likely be involved in a relegation scrap if the three promoted clubs had not found it so difficult to compete, with all three of Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton being sent back down to the Championship.

Miraculously, United and Spurs have managed to reach the Europa League final, despite their obvious struggles domestically.

United pulled off an incredible late comeback against Lyon in the quarter-finals before easing past Athletic Club in the semis. Spurs did well to overcome Eintracht Frankfurt in their quarter-final and picked up a 5-1 aggregate win over Bodo/Glimt in the last four.

Winning the Europa League would be brilliant for either club as it would send them into the Champions League for next season. This will in turn aid revenue and the ability to sign top new players.

While Ruben Amorim’s job at United is safe, he insists their awful season should not be forgiven if they triumph in Bilbao on Wednesday. Ange Postecoglou, though, could be axed even if Spurs end their trophy drought as club chairman Daniel Levy is already looking at potential replacements.

During an appearance on The Overlap Fan Debate, Neville has explained his concern about United being easily beaten by Spurs next week.

The former right-back has been left with a ‘sickly feeling’ as he thinks only United skipper Bruno Fernandes would get into Spurs’ starting lineup.

“I have got a sickly feeling about this game next Wednesday,” Neville said.

“The biggest reason I have a sickly feeling about this game is when I look at every player in the team, [Dejan] Kulusevski, Son [Heung-min], Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, James Maddison if he was fit, [Yves] Bissouma and [Pape] Sarr, [Cristian] Romero and [Micky] van de Ven and [Pedro] Porro and [Destiny] Udogie…

“When you look at those players like for like with United, only Bruno would get into the first XI of Spurs. I would select every single Tottenham player.

“The goalkeeper is a 50-50 split because I’m not a big fan of [Guglielmo] Vicario and I am not a fan of [Andre] Onana.

“But I would choose every single player of Tottenham’s over Manchester United’s next Wednesday. That is my worry.”

Tottenham news: Spurs 'ready' to 'launch' offer for attacking spark who ripped them to pieces

Tottenham ready 'low-ball bid' to sign Prem attacker who ripped them to shreds - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham are reportedly ‘ready to launch an offer’ for a Premier League attacker who they have a long-term interest in and who ripped them to pieces of late.

Spurs’ season has been wildly underwhelming. Coming off the back of a fifth-placed finish last term, they’d have expected to have been competitive again.

Instead, they are down in 17th, with only the three sides who have already been relegated worse than the north Londoners.

They’re going to have to sign some new talents to get themselves back up towards the top of the table. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze has been on the radar for a while, and Football Insider reports Tottenham are ‘ready to launch a bid’ for him.

That stance may have been aided by Eze tearing Spurs to pieces of late. The Palace man scored both goals in Palace’s 2-0 victory over the north Londoners – his fourth and fifth goals in a three-game span – as he received an 8.58 WhoScored rating.

Though Eze has a £68million release clause in his contract, it’s reported Tottenham plan to come in below that sum initially.

The report does not give a figure on what is described as a ‘low-ball bid’ for the Palace star.

Palace want to keep Eze

TEAMtalk is aware that Palace do not want to lose Eze – though if his clause is met they’ll have no say.

What’s more, Tottenham are not the only side who are interested in landing the England international.

Both they and Manchester United believe they can land Eze, per TEAMtalk sources, while Newcastle are ‘very keen’ on him.

Eze’s camp are open to discussing a move to interested sides, but want to see him land at a club who can guarantee regular minutes and help him compete at the highest level.

Tottenham round-up: Everton told to swerve Richarlison

Bryan King, a former Tottenham scout, has told Everton not to bother with their attempts to re-sign Richarlison this summer.

He stated: “I know the Everton supporters liked him, but he was never a success at Goodison Park. Maybe take him on loan, but I certainly wouldn’t buy him if I were Everton.”

Meanwhile, it’s believed Tottenham target Jack Grealish would “almost certainly not” want to sign for a Saudi Pro League side.

That could give Spurs a better chance at landing him, though interest from Napoli has also been revealed of late.

Tottenham news: Door open for Spurs to land Man City star if obstacle can be cleared - TEAMtalk
Description

The door may be open for a Manchester City star to move to Tottenham, as it’s said he will “almost certainly not” accept one route which could be offered to him.

City are currently fourth in the Premier League, after after missing out on the title for the first time in four years, there’s going to be change at the club this summer. The main one being Kevin De Bruyne, after over 400 games for the club, will be allowed to leave.

Jack Grealish could follow him out of the door from the midfield corps, having started just seven league games this term.

Speculation over his future has been rife, and football finance expert Stefan Borson has suggested one route will be entirely ruled out, but Tottenham is an intriguing option.

“There are not many teams around that can afford to pay him the wages he’s on at the moment,” Borson told Football Insider.

“But you would also expect that City would not be anticipating a huge fee if they could get him off the wage bill, given that he’s barely played all season and he’s on in excess of £300,000 a week, so in excess of £15million a year.

“That would fit with Saudi, but the question clearly for Grealish is whether he’s prepared at this stage of his career to go to Saudi Arabia.

“You would think almost certainly not, so that will probably leave if there’s anybody in the Premier League that would be interested.

“We know that Spurs have shown an interest in the player. But again, the question is, how does that work from a financial perspective given that they’re not going to pay him £300,000 a week either.”

DON’T MISS: Tottenham wages: Top 10 highest-paid players; elite star can’t crack top three

Napoli move written off

Borson also stated he does not see Napoli as “one of” the sides who would be able to pay Grealish’s wages.

It was recently reported that Antonio Conte is a ‘huge fan’ of the Manchester City man.

What’s more, that report stated the Englishman is ‘open-minded’ to exiting the Etihad, and a switch abroad would actually be his preference.

But if nobody abroad can afford him, that move isn’t one which will be happening.

Napoli’s best bet may be to attempt to sign him on loan and take things from there if he does well. That could be the case with any side who wants to sign the star, with such a large wage.

Tottenham round-up: Richarlison route kiboshed

There have been recent reports suggesting Richarlison’s former side Everton could look to sign him back from Tottenham.

However, former Spurs scout Bryan King has stated he “certainly wouldn’t buy” the Brazilian, who he doesn’t feel was very effective in a Toffees shirt.

Former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson, meanwhile, has suggested Marc Guehi should be the club’s replacement for Cristian Romero.

“With Romero leaving, it’s looking more and more likely day by day that he’s going to move on. If Romero does go, they’re going to need two more, in my opinion.”

“Guehi would be top of the list if they can beat anyone else to his signature.”

Tottenham news: Prem rivals told to swerve Spurs flop in huge waste of money - scout - TEAMtalk
Description

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has told Everton he “certainly wouldn’t buy” a Spurs flop unless they can receive a lot of money selling one of their own assets.

Few Spurs players have been very effective in England this season. The north Londoners are 17th in the Premier League, the worst of the Premier League sides who haven’t been relegated.

But some have been given more stick than others, particularly players who cost a lot of money, such as Richarlison.

There’s been much speculation surrounding the future of the £60million striker, with Tottenham reportedly happy to let him leave the club, while the striker could wait to see if Ange Postecoglou is still in the dugout next season.

His former club, Everton, have often been linked but ex-Tottenham scout King has told them not to bother with the costly signing.

“I know the Everton supporters liked him, but he was never a success at Goodison Park. Maybe take him on loan, but I certainly wouldn’t buy him if I were Everton,” he told Tottenham News.

“Watching Richarlison, he was one of the disappointments for Tottenham in the semi-final. His body language isn’t right. That sounds like a bit of a crazy deal for me.

“Unless Everton can get £70million for Beto and bring Richarlison in on loan with the premise to buy him, for me, there isn’t much credibility in that.”

DON’T MISS: Tottenham wages: Top 10 highest-paid players; elite star can’t crack top three

Tottenham could lose a lot in Richarlison sale

Whether Everton do indeed decide to go after Richarlison remains to be seen.

However, if they do, and Tottenham do want rid, the north London club might make a massive loss on the striker.

It’s been stated that the Toffees could lodge a bid of £30million for their former striker, given they might lose Dominic Calvert-Lewin on a free.

A sale at that price would see Tottenham lose half of their original outlay on Richarlison.

Tottenham round-up: Spurs need two defenders

With Cristian Romero likely to move on, former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson has told the club what’s required.

“With Romero leaving, it’s looking more and more likely day by day that he’s going to move on. If Romero does go, they’re going to need two more, in my opinion. [Marc] Guehi would be top of the list if they can beat anyone else to his signature,” he said.

Robinson has also stated that Spurs are “not going to sell” attacking midfielder James Maddison.

Meanwhile, Fabio Paratici reportedly wants to insert Roberto De Zerbi as the Tottenham manager if they see the back of Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham transfer news: Elite Cristian Romero replacement named as top Levy target

Incredible Tottenham summer signing hinging on Bilbao date with destiny - pundit - TEAMtalk
Description

An incredible Premier League defensive talent has been named at the top of Tottenham’s list to replace Spain-bound Cristian Romero this summer, although whether a deal can be struck or not all depends on Europa League final success.

Argentine World Cup winner Romero is expected to join either Atletico or Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, assuming of course that either of the LaLiga giants match Daniel Levy’s asking price of between £60-80million for the 27-year-old.

Numerous Tottenham replacements have already been mooted, including the likes of Inter Milan’s Yann Bisseck, Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen and soon-to-be Bayer Leverkusen free agent Jonathan Tah.

However, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes his old club will target £65million-rated Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi as their No.1 option to fill the Romero void – although not securing Champions League football next season could seriously scupper their chances.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Robinson actually feels the club will need to target two new central defenders if Romero moves on, with Atletico currently the favourites to snap up his signature – given that Real are highly unlikely to get into a bidding war for the player.

Robinson said: “With Romero leaving, it’s looking more and more likely day by day that he’s going to move on. If Romero does go, they’re going to need two more, in my opinion.”

“Guehi would be top of the list if they can beat anyone else to his signature.”

DON’T MISS ➡️ Tottenham wages: Top 10 highest-paid players; elite star can’t crack top three

Guehi move to Tottenham hinges on massive factor

However, Robinson admits Tottenham’s hopes of winning the race for the England international hinge solely on them beating Manchester United in the Europa League final and securing Champions League football as a result.

He added: “Without Champions League football, finishing 16th, potentially 17th in the Premier League, is that an attractive proposition? Or can Newcastle offer Champions League football and a better salary? And that’s where Tottenham are at the moment. There’s so much hanging on their Europa League success.”

Guehi has proven himself as an elite performer at Premier League level over the last couple of seasons, also attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle and his old club Chelsea as a result.

And while it remains to be seen whether Spurs can still attract the 24-year-old if they don’t taste success in Bilbao, there is no doubt Guehi would be an upgrade on the Romero that has turned out for Tottenham more much of this season.

The Argentine has clearly had his head turned by interest from Spain and it looks increasingly likely that he will be sold, as long as Levy recoups what he deems a realistic fee for the player.

To that end, all the eyes will now be on Bilbao on Wednesday May 21 in a game that will have a significant impact on the club’s summer transfer business.

Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on the capture of English talent Angel Gomes as Manchester United want to complete a bargain deal to re-sign him first, as per a report.

Gomes rose through the ranks at Man Utd before making his senior debut in May 2017. He went on to play 10 times for United’s first team before leaving on a free transfer in August 2020.

The midfielder played just six games in the 2019-20 season as he struggled to force his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.

United held several rounds of talks with Gomes and his agent over the course of that season but could not strike an agreement.

Lille ultimately signed Gomes and he has since earned a big reputation in France. His impressive form over the last 18 months saw him force his way into the England national team setup and win his first four caps between September and November last year.

Signing Gomes for free was a fantastic piece of business from Lille, but they are now set to lose him for nothing too.

The 24-year-old has run down his terms and is eyeing a return to the Premier League. According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham are ‘leading the race’ for his services, though that could change in the coming weeks.

United are poised to send Gomes a contract offer and ‘hijack’ Spurs’ move as they look to reunite with the playmaker.

Everton and Crystal Palace are the other Premier League clubs keen on Gomes, while there is also interest from Juventus, Napoli and Marseille.

In order to bring Gomes back to Old Trafford, United will need to offer him a competitive wage and promise he will get regular starts under Ruben Amorim. Gomes is prioritising his development and does not want to spend lots of time on the bench as he did during his first spell with United.

Angel Gomes has already rejected West Ham

It is no surprise that at least seven clubs are chasing Gomes, as he was labelled a ‘brilliant’ player by both Roy Keane and Ian Wright after impressing during England’s 3-1 win over Finland in October.

Sources confirmed to TEAMtalk in March that Gomes remains a target for United, despite reports to the contrary. But we understand the creative star is ready to give other clubs his consideration too, so INEOS need to work smartly to ensure Gomes returns to United.

West Ham United have already sent Gomes a contract offer, though he has reportedly rejected it due to their struggles this season.

Of course, Man Utd have had a disastrous Premier League campaign too, but winning the Europa League final against Spurs would give them a major boost.

It is possible that Gomes could wait to see the result of the Europa League final before choosing between Man Utd and Spurs, as then he could guarantee playing in the Champions League next season.

It has previously been revealed that Daniel Levy is leading Spurs’ hunt for the player.

United exit timeline; Spurs deal shut down

Meanwhile, United are prepared to ‘accelerate’ one sale before the end of May, as per a report.

Elsewhere, Spurs have been backed to offload one of their key stars in a shock summer deal.

“They’re not going to sell him,” one pundit has responded, however.

Tottenham news: History-making manager chosen to replace Postecoglou - TEAMtalk
Description

Fabio Paratici has ‘recommended’ Tottenham appoint a history-making manager who has been ‘lined up’ by the club if they sack Ange Postecoglou, according to a report.

Paratici’s worldwide suspension from football stemming from alleged financial irregularities dating back to his time at Juventus will conclude in July. Paratici joined Tottenham as director of football in 2021 before the ban was handed down in 2023. However, he has continued to advise Spurs during his ban in an unofficial consultancy capacity.

Per the BBC, ‘machinations towards Paratici’s possible comeback are in motion’ and the expectation is the Italian will join incoming chief executive, Vinai Venkatesham, in Tottenham’s new-look hierarchy.

And according to the latest from talkSPORT, Paratici has already turned his attention to who should replace Postecoglou in the dugout if the Australian is relieved of his duties at season’s end.

Tottenham have endured a truly ghoulish domestic campaign, losing 19 of 35 matches in the Premier League. With the club’s focus now on the final of the Europa League it would not come as a surprise to see that tally of losses surge into the twenties.

Winning the Europa League would deliver Tottenham’s first major trophy since lifting the League Cup in 2008. It would also secure entry into next year’s Champions League.

Defeat, however, would almost certainly spell the end for Postecoglou and per talkSPORT, Paratici believes Roberto De Zerbi should take the reins.

The headline read: ‘Roberto De Zerbi lined up for Premier League return – 12 months after Brighton exit.’

The report added: ‘Fabio Paratici has recommended Roberto De Zerbi to Tottenham Hotspur as a potential Ange Postecoglou replacement.’

History-maker De Zerbi open to Prem return

De Zerbi would certainly be an eye-catching appointment and through his two-year spell with Brighton, he boasts excellent Premier League experience.

In fact, De Zerbi made history on the south coast when guiding Brighton into Europe for the first time in the club’s history.

A spot in the Europa League was secured ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, an achievement De Zerbi described as “more prestigious than winning the Premier League with one of the big-six teams.”

The Italian left Brighton for a new chapter in France with Marseille last summer. Unsurprisingly, Ligue 1 powerhouse PSG have already wrapped up the league, though De Zerbi has positioned Marseille as best of the rest in second spot.

TEAMtalk previously reported Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraloa was among the favourites to succeed Postecoglou if the axe was swung.

talkSPORT echoed our reporting, claiming Iraola and not De Zerbi is actually the favoured choice of Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy.

But with Paratici seemingly poised to return in an official capacity and Venkatesham coming on board too, Levy may finally choose to delegate responsibility for these types of decisions to the hierarchy he’s helped assemble.

And encouragingly for Paratici, talkSPORT claimed De Zerbi is ‘open to a return to the Premier League’ after just a single season with Marseille.

Pundit rules out eye-opening Tottenham summer transfer for two reasons - TEAMtalk
Description

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paul Robinson has completely shot down talk of James Maddison being sold in the summer transfer window for two very big reasons.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has emerged as a key player for Spurs since signing in the summer of 2023, despite not always being in Ange Postecoglou’s first-choice starting XI.

Rumours have been rife in recent weeks that Tottenham could look to offload the England midfielder as they look to fund new signings this summer, despite him scoring 12 goals and adding 10 assists this term.

However, Robinson is convinced Maddison, who is expected to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, will remain at Spurs for at least one more season at least.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Robinson highlighted the injury and the doubts over Ange Postecoglou’s future as two key reasons why he will not be moved on.

He said: “They’re not going to sell him when he’s injured. The biggest thing is the manager and the recruitment side of things. Madison’s a top player, and you forget about some of these players.

“There’s a lot of talk about Romero’s future, Maddison’s future, other players’ futures. But with a different manager there next year, it puts a whole different complex on things. You know, there’s a different set of eyes looking at him.

“I think if a new manager came in next season, he didn’t play many games between now and next January, then there’s a conversation to be had. But I think with him being injured, you’ll do well to get the type of money that Tottenham would want for him.

“So I think James Maddison is going to be a Tottenham player for at least another year.”

Romero likely to head Tottenham exits

Offloading Maddison at this stage of his career makes no real sense, given that the financial gains will be minimal for a £40million signing.

Romero, however, is a different story altogether and it will be a major shock if Daniel Levy does not try and cash in on the Argentina international while he still has just over two years left on his contract.

The 27-year-old has already made noises about playing in Spain and continues to be linked with both Atletico and Real Madrid.

A fee in the region of £60-80m would be sufficient for Tottenham to sell, especially when Romero’s form this season has not been at the same level as past campaigns.

In terms of other players almost certain to move on, Yves Bissouma fits into that category despite recently returning to the side after Lucas Beergvall’s season-ending injury.

The former Brighton man has failed to take his chances this season and will almost certainly be sold, whether Postecoglou stays or goes.

Richarlison is another name on the chopping block after his lack of goals and ability to stay fit for any length of time, with the Brazilian still a target for Saudi clubs.

The list of potential free agents includes Ben Davies, Sergio Reguilon and Fraser Forster, who will almost certainly leave. Davies, however, does still have some value, given his ability play left-back and centre-back, and it would not come as a big surprise if the 32-year-old Welshman is offered a new one-year contract.

Seething Postecoglou puts reporter in his place over loaded Man Utd, Tottenham comparison - TEAMtalk
Description

Ange Postecoglou admitted it would be “massive” if Tottenham were to finally end their 17-year wait for a trophy, although he lashed out over comparisons between Spurs and Manchester United ahead of the Europa League final.

Postecoglou led his Tottenham side to a 5-1 aggregate win over Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals after the north London outfit won 2-0 in the Arctic Circle thanks to goals from Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro on Thursday night, but he left fuming at critics that are using the club’s Premier League struggles to discredit their achievements in Europe.

United have also struggled domestically but both sides now have the chance to win silverware and qualify for the Champions League as they head to Bilbao on May 21.

However, Postecoglou was not impressed when Matt Law of The Telegraph asked: “Manchester United have constantly said this competition won’t save their season – managers have said it, players have said it. Would it save Tottenham’s season, is it different for Tottenham?”

An irked Postecoglou then flipped the question back to the journalist: “You probably know better than me and probably followed this club longer than I have. What do you think a trophy would do for this club?

“Massive,” came the reply.

“Exactly right, so the question answers itself,” Postecoglou explained. “But what’s happening right now is that people are fearing that, that it actually might happen.

“Because it might happen they’re thinking, ‘let’s see how we can tear it down somehow, diminish it somehow by saying it’s been a poor season, we don’t deserve this, we don’t deserve that’, or somehow comparing us to Man United.”

“Maybe if we had Manchester United’s success, maybe I’d have a different view. But I came into this role and I could have been sitting here in 5th position and I guarantee they’d be saying ‘this club needs to win something’.

“That’s exactly what everyone would be saying. Of course, it’s massive because you have to frame it against what this club has been through in the past 15-20 years.

“Man United have got their own journey to go on and maybe if they go 15 years without winning something, they’ll change their perspective on things as well.”

Postecoglou preparing for Bilbao date with destiny

While Postecoglou’s focus now switches to Sunday’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace, he admits it’s hard not to look ahead to Bilbao – especially when asked what the win in Norway and booking a place in the final would have meant to his late father.

The Australian added: “There’ll be a time when I reflect on all this stuff but I’ve got friends who I grew up with who are probably booking tickets to Bilbao.

“For all intents and purposes I’ll be on the touchline but almost with the imposter syndrome that I should be in the stands with them because that’s where it comes from. It’s my fourth year in European football and I’ve got the chance to lead a team into a European final.

“That’s something I will look back on but I’d rather look back fondly with a positive memory on the day. But yeah, not just my Dad but my family, my wife who was here today cheering on with the away end.

“Credit to her and two boys on a school night who I’ve promised a trip to Bilbao. There’s so many people you know who take the knocks and feel it more than I do. I’m sure they’re proud of me tonight but more importantly I’m just pleased I can give it back to them for all their sacrifices.”

Liam Delap wants huge salary hike to join Tottenham as striker pursuit hots up - TEAMtalk
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ‘planning to make an offer’ to sign highly-touted Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap this summer, with the player in line for a huge salary jump if he moves to north London.

Spurs have made adding another No.9 to their squad one of the top priorities this summer after Dominic Solanke succumbed to numerous injury issues this season, while Richarlison is also expected to be sold – if the club can find a buyer the Brazilian.

A new striker signing is expected to come to fruition regardless of who the manager is, with Ange Postecoglou’s long-term future in doubt even if the club win the Europa League in the coming weeks.

Injuries, defensive errors and failing to take the numerous chances they create have all been a factor in Tottenham‘s domestic struggles this season, as they sit down in 16th in the table with only three games of the Premier League campaign remaining.

In order to try and rectify the last part of that equation, Spurs have been hunting a new No.9 to provide stronger competition for record-signing Solanke – and that’s where Delap comes in.

The Ipswich frontman has a relegation escape clause of just £30million, making him one of the most attractive propositions for striker-needy sides in the summer window.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton are also known to be keen on a move for the talented 22-year-old, who has scored 12 goals this season. However, a report from GiveMeSport states that, having scouted Delap last month, Spurs are now ‘planning to make an offer’ to sign the playeer.

Indeed, the report adds there is ‘confidence behind the scenes that there is a serious possibility that they will secure his services’ for a player whose potential has previously been described as ‘scary’ by BBC pundit Liam Rosenior.

DON’T MISS ➡️ When does the summer 2025 transfer window open? All the key dates…

Delap wants mega salary increase amid Tottenham links

The report adds that Tottenham’s recruitment team feels it would be a massive ‘oversight’ if they do not try and beat their Premier League rivals to a player who is arguably worth way more than his £30m price tag, on potential alone.

Given that Ipswich only gained promotion to the top flight in 2024, it’s no surprise that their wage bill is not the biggest, with Salary Sport reporting that Delap is one of their best-paid players at £36,000-a-week.

However, he will want a significant increase when he does seal a move away from Portman Road this summer, with GiveMeSport also revealing just how much the Emgland Undeer-21 is chasing.

The report states that Delap ‘is expected to ask for a pay package worth up to £150,000 per week’.

If Tottenham were to agree to that figure, that would make Delap the fifth-highest player on their books after skipper Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Cristian Romero and Timo Werner, although the latter is only on loan and expected to head back to Leipzig this summer.
