Reports have claimed that Ramsey could be prized away from Unai Emery’s side for a fee of £30million, which could be a small price to pay for an English talent who could thrive in Tottenham’s high-paced, attacking system.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was allowed to leave Spurs earlier this month to join Ligue 1 side Marseille, and the Denmark international is likely to need replacing by the higher powers at Tottenham.

Man Utd have already found INEOS' next two transfers after Mazraoui

Manchester United’s next two transfer priorities are set to become clear once they have secured the signature of Noussair Mazraoui.

The Red Devils are in the heart of a major rebuild, with Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee arriving to inject some fresh legs into Erik ten Hag’s squad. Further arrivals are anticipated too, with negotiations ongoing with Bayern Munich for Mazraoui.

The Morocco international is keen to join United after his move to West Ham fell through. Mazraoui will provide an alternative option in right-back heading into next season, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka shown the door as a result.

United will be keen to build on their momentum in the market once the former Ajax defender arrives, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe hoping to continue overhauling his ranks and offloading several stars to fund his spending spree.

The Red Devils will turn their attention to bolstering their central ranks once Mazraoui arrives, with finding a defensive-minded partner for Kobbie Mainoo viewed as a priority at the Theatre of Dreams.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte has been shortlisted as United’s top target in that department, with reports claiming that talks have been held over the Uruguay international. The midfielder is open to joining the Red Devils after falling out of favour at the Parc des Princes, though it remains to be seen whether an agreement can be reached.

Despite acquiring the services of Yoro recently, further investment is anticipated in central defence as well. United are hoping to replace Victor Lindelof and improve their options across the backline.

Talks have been held with Bayern over Matthijs de Ligt after he was identified as an attainable option. The Netherlands international has worked with Ten Hag previously at Ajax, and he would be keen to reunite with his former boss if the opportunity arose.

Bayern are willing to sell De Ligt if their £42million valuation is met, though it remains to be seen whether Ratcliffe and co believe that the 24-year-old justifies the outlay given that he is likely to head into next season at the Allianz Arena as a rotational option.

United pushed to strike a deal for Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite earlier in the window, having two bids rejected for the Englishman before turning their attention to alternative targets.

Tottenham urged to beat Arsenal by sealing £50m transfer straight away

Tottenham have been urged to show a statement of intent by sealing a deal to sign Wolves star Pedro Neto this summer ahead of north London rivals Arsenal.

The 24-year-old has been linked with the Gunners for the best part of two years after emerging as a creative force for Gary O'Neil's side, with Mikel Arteta a keen admirer of his talents.

Wolves have reportedly slapped a £60million price tag on Neto, who scored two goals and assisted nine in 20 Premier League appearances last season despite being plagued by injury.

Former Spurs striker Robbie Keane has identified the left-footed winger as a priority signing for Ange Postecoglou this summer, with the Irishman urging the north London club to sign the Portugal international Neto "straight away" along with Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze.

"Tottenham have been linked with Pedro Neto, who I would sign straight away," Keane said, speaking to Betway. "And Eberechi Eze, who I said they should sign four years ago, I think he’s a real Tottenham player.

"They are both really exciting players and I think the fans would be very happy if they got both of them."

Postecoglou made a number of smart moves in the transfer market last year, bringing in Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven and James Maddison, and the trio attracted their share of the plaudits in the first half of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Australian has continued that trend by spending £40m this summer to snap up 18-year-old sensation Archie Gray from Leeds United, another one of Keane's former clubs.

However, Spurs are yet to directly replace their former talisman Harry Kane, who made his £88million transfer to Bayern Munich in 2023, with Postecoglou instead signing forward Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.

And Keane thinks Spurs are a striker short of competing with the Premier League's elite clubs: "I’d like to see Tottenham up there with the leaders but they certainly need a few more players," he added.

"If you look around world football at the moment, you don’t see a lot of out-and-out No. 9s like Erling Haaland, or someone like Fernando Torres. I think Spurs still need a player like that.

"I hope Richarlison comes back fit and ready to go, but I think they need another one to keep their attacking players on their toes. Of course, it depends who is out there, and to get one they might have to start spending big money, given how the market is."

Manchester City are yet to make a signing this summer, and manager Pep Guardiola avoided speaking about transfers after the 3-2 defeat by AC Milan in New York last night.

Erling Haaland put City in front, but Lorenzo Colombo equalised and added a second before half-time. James McAtee headed City level the before Marco Nasti scored the winner.

"It was a step forward," said Guardiola. "No injuries, minutes in our legs, another test - and now we fly to another game in a few days."

David De Gea is set to return to football more than a year after leaving Manchester United.

The 33-year-old has been a free agent since last summer, and according to the Athletic, is in with Serie A side Genoa.

Following their win last night, Arsenal are expected to complete a deal for Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori in the next 24 hours.

The two clubs have agreed a fee, and the 22-year-old boarded a plane to England yesterday ahead of a proposed £42million transfer.

Manchester United's new signing Leny Yoro suffered an injury as his side lost 2-1 in a US tour game to Arsenal in Los Angeles overnight.

The 18-year-old defender went down in the first half and needed lengthy treatment before going off.

Rasmus Hojlund gave United the lead before Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli struck for the Gunners.

Nottingham Forest’s Murillo has revealed that he will snub transfer interest this summer in favour of remaining at the City Ground.

The defender has been linked with Chelsea, Tottenham and a host of other top European clubs in recent months, but the Brazilian has now told The Telegraph that he has no intention of departing.

He said: “I need regular game-time and really feel that with Forest I’m in the best place for my career. Staying here for another season will enable me to mature as a player and eventually become better prepared if the chance ever comes to play at another level one day.

“Of course, I want to eventually play in the Champions League. When I was growing up I’d play video games and play with all those teams. Whenever I hear that classic music before the games it moves me, and it would be a dream to play in that competition. But I’ve been focusing on my work here 100 per cent and I just want to do my best. Forest is a massive club in its own right and I feel good here.”

Ange Postecoglou failed to hide that Tottenham were closing in on a deal to sign Yang Min-hyuk in a recent press conference.

Spurs are closing in on a deal to sign the South Korean star from K-League outfit Gangwon FC, with the forward expected to be announced as a Tottenham player next week. Min-hyuk will then return to Gangwon FC on loan until January.

Asked about the forward, he said: “I'm well aware of the quality of the K League. When I was at Celtic we were looking to bring over a couple of Korean players.

“They have made a fantastic impact across Europe, none bigger than our Sonny. He's an outstanding individual. So yes, we'll be looking far and wide for players. As you said, it's difficult for me to discuss.” The Aussie then cracked a grin before fielding further questions about South Korean signings.

Harry Maguire has revealed that he believes he will remain at Manchester United next season.

The centre-back has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford since the transfer window opened, but the England international has insisted that he has not been told to prepare for an exit.

He told Sky Sports: “To be honest, everything I’ve heard is that I’m part of the future here at Manchester United. I’m ready to fight for the biggest trophies.”

Newcastle are reportedly set to pursue Manchester City forward Oscar Bobb.

The winger featured scarcely for Pep Guardiola’s side last season and the Magpies are keen to pounce upon his lack of opportunities, in the same way that Chelsea signed Cole Palmer last summer.

According to GiveMeSport, Newcastle are keen to offer Bobb a ‘route out of the Etihad Stadium’, with Borussia Dortmund also monitoring his situation closely.

The Magpies are keen to understand whether signing the Norway international is possible, with City hoping that the promise of more minutes next season will convince Bobb to reject any approaches over the coming weeks.

Manchester United are reportedly exploring the possibility of striking a swap deal to sign long-term target Denzel Dumfries.

The Red Devils are keen to sign a right-back this summer, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to depart to pave the way for a new arrival.

The Athletic report that Wan-Bissaka is keen to join Inter this summer or in 2025 when he becomes a free agent upon his contract expiry, prompting conversations about whether he could be used as a makeweight in a deal for a replacement.

Dumfries has been targeted by United previously and intermediaries have since discussed whether a swap deal was possible, though those talks are not advanced at this stage.

Ange Postecoglou struggled to hide that Tottenham are closing in on a deal to sign Yang Min-hyuk in a press conference this morning.

Spurs are closing in on a deal to sign the South Korean star from K-League outfit Gangwon FC, with the forward expected to be announced as a Spurs player next week. Yang will then return to Gangwon FC on loan until January.

Tottenham have conducted their business quietly so far this summer, striking a quick-fire deal for Archie Gray and effortlessly agreeing to retain the services of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig on loan.

However, Postecoglou struggled to hide that his side were closing in on Yang ahead of his side’s pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe in Tokyo.

As you said, it's difficult for me to discuss.”

The Aussie then cracked a grin, which clearly spelled that Spurs are closing to a deal, before fielding further questions about South Korean signings.

Postecoglou also talked up the quality of the J-League and insisted that he believes Japan have players capable of playing at the very top level in Europe. He explained: “Everyone knows me. I spent close to four years here in Japan.

“I think the J League is a competition that ranks with apart from the big five leagues in Europe, I believe it ranks in quality with other leagues.

“Japan has a lot of players who are doing well across the world. We've seen (Kauro) Mitoma go to Brighton and the Premier League and I took a number of players to Celtic.”

The Spurs boss went on to call for patience from Tottenham supporters and insisted that his team are working hard around the clock to bring new signings in, despite the ‘misinformation’ that is readily available.

The north London outfit are in the market for further reinforcements in the final third, with Brentford star Ivan Toney being heavily linked with joining Spurs to replace Richarlison as Postecoglou’s No. 9 next season.

'New Kane' transfer agreed, Eze signs - Tottenham dream 25-man squad

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou will run the rule over his squad in pre-season before deciding on potential new signings for the 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Spurs have only welcomed one new face so far, but that could soon change as the north London side look to build on a promising start under the former Celtic manager.

Postecoglou's signings last summer flourished in the early part of last season, with James Maddison one of the standout players before picking up an injury and fading in the second half of the campaign.

Their £43million capture of Micky van de Ven looks to be money well spent after his impressive performances earned him plaudits from the fans, with Spurs noticeably getting by after Harry Kane's departure to Bayern Munich.

But Postecoglou is reportedly looking to bolster his squad again this summer to build Tottenham's dream 25-man squad, with 18-year-old starlet Archie Gray their only capture of the summer so far.

The Australian boss has been linked with signing another striker after Son Heung-min's goals dried up last season and he could be drawn towards Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke, who hit 19 goals in the Premier League last term.

He renewed Timo Werner's loan from RB Leipzig for a second season, but the German has featured regularly from the left wing.

He is also said to be a massive admirer of Eberechi Eze's talents, with the Crystal Palace star open to signing for a bigger club this summer. Likewise, Palace inserted a £60million clause into the 26-year-old's contract, which may not be out of reach if chairman Daniel Levy approves the deal.

It is widely accepted that Spurs will look to raise funds before spending any big sums in the transfer market, and the opportunity to retrieve the entire £60million spent on Richarlison would be too lucrative to pass up.

The Brazilian is keen to stay in London but he has bagged just 16 goals in 66 appearances since his high-profile switch from Everton in 2022, and with interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, he could be offloaded to make way for new arrivals.

Joining him in heading for the exit could be Giovani Lo Celso, who has struggled since his £55m switch in 2020 and spent the majority of last season as backup.

The Argentinian is expected to be one of several players to be axed by Postecoglou, including Emerson Royal, Djed Spence and Bryan Gil. Jamie Donley, Ashley Phillips, Dane Scarlett and Alejo Veliz will all head out on loan.

The departure of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Marseille on a loan with obligation to buy for £16m is likely to move up Spurs' timeline in making moves in the market. Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been on their shortlist for well over a year now and the 24-year-old's contract has entered its final year, giving Daniel Levy the chance to snag a potential bargain.

Despite their history as London rivals, Chelsea are willing to sell Gallagher to another Premier League team providing their £50m valuation of Gallagher is met.

But Spurs will know the England international could be available as a free agent next summer and, with no new contract on the horizon, Chelsea are running out of time to sell the tireless midfielder.

With their spine of Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Maddison and Son, a few more signings to improve their depth could well take Spurs back into the promised land of Champions League qualification.

Tottenham's dream 25-man squad for the 2024-25 season
