Tottenham Hotspur moved one step closer to taking the sting out of a thoroughly disappointing season by progressing to the semi finals of the Europa League thanks to an away win at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Bringing that major piece of silverware to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would be a huge coup for the under-fire Ange Postecoglou, whose future at the club is still in jeopardy.

No matter who is in charge come the start of the 2025/26 campaign, it’s clear that Tottenham Hotspur must invest during the summer window. The squad has been short of options at times this season due to injuries and LondonWorld looks at what a dream Spurs XI may look like if current transfer rumours come true.

Spurs win race for in-demand Crystal Palace star

Goalkeeper: Guglielmo Vicario

Defenders: Djed Spence, Marc Guehi, Micky Van de Ven, Pedro Porro

Over the festive period and into the New Year, the goalkeeping position was under great scrutiny at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. An injury to Vicario saw Fraser Forster step in and then Antonin Kinsky arrived early doors in January. Spurs will be hoping that Vicario stays fit next term with the shot-stopper a reliable option between the sticks.

There could be some upheaval in the back four. Cristian Romero continues to be linked with a move to a Real Madrid side wanting defensive reinforcements having been dumped out of the Champions League by Arsenal, while Destiny Udogie could be a target for Manchester City. The rise of Djed Spence at full-back has been one of the few positives this season and there are plenty of rumours as to who could replace Romero. One name that won’t go away is that of Marc Guehi, who continues to be linked with an exit from Selhurst Park this summer.

Tottenham boost as West Ham bow out of Angel Gomes pursuit

Midfielders: James Maddison, Angel Gomes, Dejan Kulusevski

Wingers: Son Heung-min, Jack Grealish

There’s a feeling that Tottenham Hotspur are still to see the best of James Maddison, but the England international has not been helped by the team’s topsy-turvy form. The ever-versatile Dejan Kulusevski remains an asset and has impressed both on the wing and in a more central role.

Lille midfielder Angel Gomes seems destined for the Premier League this summer as his contract comes to an end in France. The midfielder is available on a free transfer and would be a major coup for Spurs, who were handed a boost this week with news that even a personal Graham Potter phone call couldn’t convince the star to pick West Ham as his destination.

Meanwhile, there’s a feeling that there could be new blood on the wings. Postecoglou had made it clear that he hopes to make the Mathys Tel loan move permanent, but the Bayern Munich loanee has not dazzled in London. Fichajes claims that Spurs could enter a bidding war for Manchester City man Jack Grealish in that position.

Wolves talisman to usurp Dominic Solanke?

Striker: Matheus Cunha

Spurs splashed a club record £65 million on Dominic Solanke last summer and the ex AFC Bournemouth man has bagged a respectable 12 goals this season. However, Fichajes this week claim that that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Wolves forward Matheus Cunha on a permanent deal. That move is thought to cost at least the fee spent on Solanke with five other top flight clubs also linked with the player.

In other news, Son Heung-min shares heartfelt 11-word Tottenham message from treatment table.

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been previewing his side’s clash with Tottenham on Monday night. Spurs have little to play for in this one, now as low as 15th in the table and placing almost all focus on the Europa League.

Ange Postecoglou’s men may have put together a disastrous campaign, but they are now in the Europa League semi-final, facing Bodo/Glimt in the next round, holding a serious chance of reaching the final in Bilbao. That will give Tottenham a shot at Champions League qualification, so it will be no surprise to see players already have their eyes on those European fixtures.

As for Forest, they are now in fourth place, holding only a two-point lead over Manchester City in fifth and a three-point lead over Chelsea, keeping in mind fifth place will also be a Champions League spot. Santo’s men have been in third place for much of the season, but back-to-back defeats have seen them slip a little, although they have not been helped by the recent absence of Chris Wood.

Wood is now nearing a return, and he could be in contention for Monday night’s clash with Tottenham, with Santo confirming in his pre-match press conference: “We have to manage Chris. He has been out for a while. Everton was good but not as good as we want. We are positive that on Monday he will be better."

Asked about Tottenham’s away win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarter-final second leg, former Spurs boss Santo said: “We are going to watch the game. It's a big game and, for us, for analysis. It will determine what we expect for the Monday night line-up. Our focus is on that."

Santo also answered a question about the intense pressure on Ange Postecoglou, saying: “All managers, we face the same. It's up to us to try to ignore and focus on the job we can control. Like me, like Ange, like all the managers in the world, what we can control is preparing our players."

Forest’s battle for Champions League football

Forest will be desperately fighting to keep hold of a Champions League spot, but Santo has not been rattled by his side’s slip over the last couple of weeks. "We can speak whatever we want about psychology, but it is about reaction and action. More than reaction, action,” the Forest boss added.

“The expectation around us started the moment we were able to perform and get results. That is the expectation of us achieving something that was not in the initial plans - to fight for the competition that we are fighting at the moment. We are delighted. We embrace the challenge. We are not stepping back, we are stepping in. We want to embrace it. We want to try and get it. It's going to be very hard, but believe me, we are stepping in and putting everything that we have in these final moments of the season.”

Forest face Brentford, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, West Ham and Chelsea in their final games, while they also have an FA Cup semi-final with Manchester City to contend with after this game.

Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and West Ham could all see key first team stars miss 10 fixtures of the 2025/26 campaign as a result of a controversial FIFA decision.

As worked out by the Liverpool Echo, with the Reds monitoring the availability of star man Mohamed Salah, the Africa Cup of Nations is set to take place in the middle of next season. The competition was pushed back from the summer of 2025 to allow the inaugural edition of FIFA’s expanded Club World Cup.

That event is taking place in the United States in June and July with Chelsea and Manchester City the two clubs set to represent the Premier League. The AFCON programming has also been impacted by the addition of two extra Champions League match days at the end of January.

AFCON pushed back for Club World Cup

AFCON is set to start on December 21 in Morocco and will run until January 18, coming bang splat in the middle of the top flight campaign, which takes place between August 16 and May 24. The fixture schedule has not yet been finalised for the Premier League with how many matches AFCON stars will miss to be confirmed.

However, the Liverpool Echo has used this season as a template to find that AFCON would have overlapped with eight Liverpool matches - six of those were Premier League games, one was the Carabao Cup quarter final, one was the seventh Champions League fixture and then the last a Carabao Cup semi final (which otherwise would have been the FA Cup third round).

That means that a Chelsea player could miss up to 10 matches if at AFCON next season, with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham stars perhaps absent for up to nine with those clubs not set to be in the Champions League.

Chelsea, West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur stars could be involved at AFCON

At Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson is the principle worry. The striker is part of the Senegal national team and there is also David Datro Fofana, who could represent the Ivory Coast. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur could see midfielder Yves Bissouma away representing Mali while West Ham winger Mohammed Kudus is part of the Ghana international set-up.

The importance of AFCON and its impact on the Premier League was the centre of talk in February when Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher suggested it was not a ‘major tournament’. The former defender said: "I think the problem is the fact he's with Egypt, and he's probably not playing in the major tournament as such, or maybe got a great chance of winning, I think it's either the Champions League or the major tournament. Normally, the player who excels in that."

Former Manchester City man Micah Richards replied: “I’ll just say, AFCON is a major tournament. A lot of people at home will say they’re taking that seriously. AFCON is a major tournament, just so you know.”

Also in the studio, Daniel Sturridge hit back: “It’s a fact, it’s a fact. If you win the Euros or the Copa America it’s deemed to be big, so AFCON is on the same level.”

Tottenham are now preparing for their Europa League second leg with Eintracht Frankfurt, heading to Germany on level terms after a frustrating first leg. Spurs dominated the first leg for the most part, but found themselves unable to find a winner after coming from behind.

Since the first leg, the North London club was thrashed by strugglers Wolves away from home, with all momentum eliminated, though, there may be an element of players saving their best for the Europa League due to already being out of contention for the European places in the Premier League.

The Europa League remains an avenue to the Champions League, but Spurs are going to have to win the competition, and it might also take that impressive feat for Ange Postecoglou to keep his job, too, with the Australian under intense pressure after a disastrous season.

The first challenge will be producing an away win against a Frankfurt side sat in third place in Bundesliga, coming off a 3-0 win over Heidenhaim. And for those who believe in bad omens, Spurs might just have been handed one by UEFA with the confirmation of the referee for the fixture.

Italian official Davide Massa has been appointed, and Tottenham have a sole bad memory of Massa being in charge. His only Spurs fixture came in 2021 when Tottenham suffered a comeback defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Round of 16 of this competition, losing 3-0 after extra time. Spurs had won the first leg 2-0 but collapsed away from home. Massa gave out just one yellow card in that fixture, so he did not produce a controversial performance.

The good news is that Eintracht Frankfurt have also only has Massa for one game previously, and that was a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the group stage of the 2019/20 Europa League. Though, it’s worth noting that the fixture did come a couple of years before Frankfurt truly hit their stride, with the German club hitting a real surge over recent years. Frankfurt are currently on course for Champions League qualification in Bundesliga.

Tel on Frankfurt test

Speaking after the Wolves game, Spurs star Mathys Tel spoke about the upcoming game against Frankfurt and the need to bounce back. He told Tottenham’s official channel: “It’s a difficult day. We know that, but we can’t give up. We have to learn from this situation. We have to show who we are and go again. We have a big game on Thursday, and we have to be ready, go ahead and don’t give up. It’s about concentration. We have to concentrate from the first minute until the last minute.”

On scoring against Wolves and his personal form, Tel added: “I’m very happy to score my second goal in the Premier League, but I’m a person who just looks (out) for my team, always my team. Yes, I scored a goal, but we lost, so I’m not happy. I thought we showed some good things, but we made a lot of mistakes and that’s why we lost.”

Tottenham continue to falter, losing 4-2 to strugglers Wolves over the weekend, leaving them as low as 15th in the Premier League. Injuries have plagued their season, but even with many of the players back, Spurs fans have not seen much improvement over recent weeks.

Ange Postecoglou is now coming under intense scrutiny as a result, with other managers now being linked with his job. Here we round up the latest on the situation.

Tottenham still to make a decision

Tottenham are almost certain to stick with Postecoglou until the end of the season, given they would not get a permanent replacement at this stage of the season even if they were to pull the trigger, and it would do them no good to have an interim boss between now and then.

While the Premier League campaign has been a disaster this term, Tottenham’s season remains alive for as long as they are in the Europa League, heading into Thursday night’s quarter-final with Eintracht Frankfurt on level terms.

If they can somehow win that competition, Spurs will secure Champions League qualification, and that would make it a relatively successful season on the basis of meeting their principle goal. But whether or not they do qualify for Europe for next season, there is going to be a big decision to make on Postecoglou this summer.

What Postecoglou has said

Postecoglou last spoke after the 4-2 defeat to Wolves, saying: “Obviously a disappointing result. Funny game, because for the most part, I thought our football was decent considering all the changes we've made. For the most part we controlled large parts of it, were a threat going forward and didn't give them too much. But then obviously we conceded some pretty poor goals and that made it awfully difficult to get an outcome today.

"It's not like the players are doing it on purpose, so you have an understanding that that's the unfortunate things that sometimes happen in a game of football. Probably be more frustrated if it was something that we did from a tactical perspective or organisational perspective, but they're individual errors, you know, the players don't mean to do it and, especially Lucas and Romero, I mean they're two fantastic footballers and what's important now for both of them is that they recover and we focus on the next game."

Prime candidates

According to a report from The Athletic, Tottenham have three main targets if they decide to move on from Postecoglou. AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is said to be atop the list having impressed on the South Coast, while he also worked wonders with very little at Rayo Vallecano.

The report goes on to add that Fulham’s Marco Silva and Thomas Frank are also under consideration. All three bosses have overperformed with limited resources at their current clubs.

Romano on Tottenham options

Responding to links with Thiago Motta, who is currently manager of Juventus, Fabrizio Romano told GiveMeSport: "I’m still hearing about Iraola and Silva as two concrete options. For Motta, no contacts at this stage."

Premier League manager 'could quit' club if offered Tottenham job, and it's not Marco Silva - LondonWorld

Oliver Glasner faces a big summer of transfer talk at Crystal Palace, and not just over the future of his players.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner supposedly ‘could quit’ Selhurst Park this summer if not given financial backing by the board and offered the Tottenham Hotspur job.

That’s according to Football Insider, with the outlet speaking to former Premier League scout Mick Brown about the potential managerial merry-go-round. Ange Postecoglou is still in charge at Spurs but the 4-2 defeat to Wolves was just the latest blow in a thoroughly underwhelming season.

The club sits 15th in the Premier League table with just six matches left to play this season, now only two points above Wolves and 16 points above the relegation zone. More importantly, Tottenham Hotspur are a huge 17 points away from the top six.

Oliver Glasner could be tempted by Tottenham Hotspur job

Fabrizio Romano this week named Fulham and AFC Bournemouth men Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola as ‘concrete options’ for Tottenham Hotspur but Glasner is a name that has also been quietly linked with the job. According to Brown, if offered the Spurs job, Glasner could walk away from Crystal Palace should he be left frustrated by the summer window.

Several first team Eagles stars have been linked with moves to Premier League rivals, including Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Tyrick Mitchell and Daniel Munoz. Brown said: “Oliver Glasner is one of the names on their list. He seems to me to be a very stable character, he knows what he wants and how to get it.

“The evidence is there in the way his team have performed since he came in and they’ve been largely successful – and they’re in the FA Cup semi-finals.

“He will speak to Palace to find out what sort of backing he’s going to get this summer. That is both in terms of players they’re going to bring in and players they’re going to keep, because there has been a lot of talk about them.

“If he doesn’t believe he will get that backing, I think he will walk and take the Tottenham job – that’s if he’s the one they decide to offer it to. I haven’t heard anything to suggest he’s unhappy at Palace or that he’s wanting to move on. But it seems Marc Guehi will leave, there’s endless talk about Mateta, then you’ve got Eze, Wharton, the spine of that team is attracting interest.

“So for Glasner, if the club can’t make any promises about keeping those players, what do you do? Tottenham can offer him backing in the market and they’ll be looking to get back into European competition next year, so it’s going to be a big decision.”

Fabrizio Romano names Fulham and Bournemouth bosses as Spurs targets

In Monday’s edition of the GiveMeSport newsletter, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano was asked for the latest on who could replace Postecoglou. He said: “I’m still hearing about Iraola and Silva as two concrete options. For Motta, no contacts at this stage.”

Andoni Iraola is currently in charge of AFC Bournemouth and enjoying a good season on the south coast with his Cherries side performing above expectations and playing attractive football. Meanwhile, Thiago Motta is currently without a club, having most recently been in charge of Serie A titans Juventus.

Iraola has been linked with the Spurs role for a number of weeks and confronted his future at the Vitality Stadium recently. He said: “I want to do my job the best I can. I don’t know how far we can [go], where we will finish. I want to do my job the best I can. If I don’t do the job very well, they will find someone else. It’s like this in every job.

“I’m really happy here. We have a great opportunity to make the semi-finals [of the FA Cup] for the first time in history. That would be amazing for me personally, and for the club, to achieve new heights.

“But we also know that we have to be realistic. There are better teams than us. We have to fight against teams that are very good. We will try to give the best level we have. I don’t know how far we are going to go.”

Tottenham return to action on Thursday night when they face Eintracht Frankfurt in the second leg of their quarter-final. Spurs drew 1-1 in the first leg, and it proved to be a mightily frustrating evening, with the North London club putting one of their better performances of the season, but they were not rewarded with a leading goal.

Since then, Tottenham were hammered 4-2 by strugglers Wolves, eliminating any recent momentum, and once again there are serious questions being asked of Ange Postecoglou and his future at the club.

Frankfurt, meantime, are in third place in Bundesliga, three points ahead of RB Leipzig, and they defeated Heidenheim 3-0 on Sunday, with danger man Hugo Ekitike on target again, as he was against Tottenham. Robin Koch and Jean-Matteo Bahoya were also on the scoresheet.

Tottenham already know the Europa League is their only chance of qualifying for Europe next season, and Postecoglou’s job might just rely on them getting the job done in this competition. Ahead of the second leg in Germany, we have rounded up all the early injury news surrounding Tottenham and Frankfurt before we get the final injury update from both managers in the pre-match press conferences, likely on Wednesday.

Ansgar Knauff - Doubt

Knauff could return here, given he was said to be very close to returning on the weekend, but it was ultimately decided that he would not be risked.

Krisztian Lisztes - Doubt

Lisztes could return from illness, but he did not make it back for the weekend’s game despite being expected to.

Eba Bekir Is - Out

Bekir is out until mid-May with a knee injury and could be out for the season.

Dina Ebimbe - Doubt

Ebimbe has been struggling with an abdominal issue and will be a doubt.

Kevin Trapp - Out

Trapp has suffered a setback in his bid to return from a calf injury, and he will be absent here.

Timothy Chandler - Out

Chandler is sidelined until later this month with a hip issue.

Ellyes Skhiri - Out

Skhiri is out until May with a knee injury.

Heung-min Son - Doubt

Son missed the weekend game, with Postecoglou saying: “Sonny got a knock on his foot, so we're being a bit cautious with him. There was no point in him travelling.” He should be back here, but we will wait for confirmation.

Radu Dragusin - Out

Dragusin is out for the season with an ACL injury. Postecoglou confirmed at the time: “Radu underwent surgery today following his ACL injury. That procedure has now been completed, and the centre-back will now commence with his recovery before beginning the rehab process.”

Dejan Kulusevski - Doubt

Postecoglou said in his pre-match press conference ahead of facing Wolves: "He's trained today with the guys who didn't play last night. He's looking good. He won't be available for Sunday, but the plan is for him to train through this weekend, train with the first team from the beginning of the week and, if he gets through that, he'll definitely be available for Thursday. Again, it will be unlikely he'll be able to start, because he's been out for a while, but he looks really good."

Kevin Danso - Doubt

Danso has a hamstring injury, and the Spurs website stated ahead of the Wolves game: “Kevin Danso, who looks unlikely to return from his hamstring injury next week.”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has underlined the club’s need to improve options in the left-back position following a week which saw the Champions linked with a big money transfer swoop for Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie.

Guardiola’ side went 2-0 down in 21 minutes against Crystal Palace at the weekend as Eberechi Eze and Chris Richards exploited weaknesses in the Cityzens’ back line. Kevin De Bruyne then inspired a Manchester City comeback with the hosts winning 5-2.

For that match, midfielder Nico O’Reilly was fielded in the left-back position, playing out of his usual role at just 20 years of age. After the match, Guardiola was asked if recruiting in that position was a priority for the summer. He said: "Obviously. Nico is helping us but he is not a left back. That is true. I played with Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back, Fabian Delph at left-back. We find solutions for many years. When players have qualities they help us. Sometimes Rico plays full-back on the left. It helps us massively.

"Of course, we can help with Nathan (Ake) but Nathan, like John Stones, has been injured all season. The most important thing, from my point of view, I said to the club, which players are reliable for the future. You cannot perform if you are not reliable and you are injured. The players we have, they can play every three days, three days, or they cannot. Then we build a squad for next season."

Manchester City linked with transfer for Spurs defender Destiny Udogie

Those words from Guardiola came in the days after Manchester City were linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Detiny Udogie. GiveMeSport claimed that the Champions would ‘have to pay a fortune’ to convince Daniel Levy to sell the defender but that a move is not off the cards.

Levy is supposedly not interested in strengthening a rival with the likes of Juventus also interested in the player. However, a ‘huge fee’ from Manchester City would be enough to green light a sale, although no sum of money is mentioned.

That report claims that should Manchester City succeed in bringing Udogie to the North West, Spurs have ready-made targets in Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchel and former academy star Kyle Walker-Peters, who is now at Southampton and set to be a free agent when his contract at St Mary’s ends at the end of the campaign.

Daniel Levy hints at Tottenham Hotspur player sales

Speaking in March, Levy had hinted at potential exits from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to make way for incomings. He said: "We cannot spend what we do not have, and we will not compromise the financial stability of this club.

"Recruitment remains a key focus, and we must ensure that we make smart purchases within our financial means. Our capacity to generate recurring revenues determines our spending power."

In other news, Fabrizio Romano has named two ‘concrete options’ for managers who could replace Postecoglou should the Australian be sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are in Europa League action against Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night as they look to earn their spot in the last four of the competition. The first leg of the quarter final will be played in North London with Spurs heading to Germany in seven days.

Ange Postecoglou’s side sit 14th in the Premier League table after losing 16 of their 31 games in the division. As things stand, Spurs are set to miss out on European football next term unless they can win the Europa League - which brings with it qualification to the Champions League.

Looking ahead to the clash with Frankfurt, Postecoglou said: "I’m not sure how many times the club has been in the quarter-finals of a European competition. Every time you get in there you don’t take it for granted. You have got to make the most of it, for sure.

“It’s going to be a tough game. Frankfurt are a good side. They are going well in the Bundesliga. They have a mixture of some really exciting young players and some experience in there. It will be a good challenge for us. When you get to the last eight of a European competition, that is what you expect to face and I’m looking forward to it."

Who Tottenham could play in Europa League semi-final

The draw for the Europa League semi-final has already been made with the path to the final mapped out when the round of 16 draw was made. It means that Tottenham already know who their potential last four opponents could be.

If Spurs make it past Frankfurt, they will face Serie A side Lazio or Norwegian club FK Bodø/Glimt. Lazio are one of the favourites to win the competition after finishing top of the league phase with six wins, one draw and one loss from their eight games. They beat Viktoria Plzen 3-2 on aggregate in the round of 16. Bodø/Glimt finished outside the top eight on goal difference behind Rangers.

They defeated FC Twente 6-4 over two legs in the play-off round before dispatching Olympiacos 4-2 in the round of 16. On the other side of the draw, one of Manchester United, Lyon, Athletic Club or Rangers will reach the final.

When and where is the 2025 Europa League final

The 2025 Europa League final will be held at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao, Spain. It is the home of Athletic Club and has a capacity of 50,000. The stadium has been open since 2013. The final will be played on Wednesday, May 21 at 8pm. Frankfurt won the Europa League when the final was last staged in Spain, as they beat Rangers on penalties at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán, Seville in 2022.

Winning the Europa League remains Spurs’ only realistic chance of playing European football next season. Participating in the Champions League also brings greater revenue and will allow the club to be more active in the summer transfer market as they look to put a hugely-disappointing campaign behind them.

Postecoglou is eager to win the Europa League as he responded to whether the competition was ‘keeping him going’. The former Celtic boss said: "I came to this club with a clear purpose and vision of what the club needed and what I could offer. That is to change the way the team plays, to obviously rejuvenate the squad because it was a squad that was coming towards the end of a cycle and to bring success. As long as I’m in this position, that’s always my focus, irrespective of whatever noise there is or what there may or not been in the future. I don’t see that should diminish my burning ambition, my desire and my determination to make that happen.

“Anything you achieve in life usually comes with a struggle. Certainly, everything I have achieved in my life has come with a struggle from a professional perspective. This is just another struggle, but never through this struggle have I lost the will to fight for what I think is the right thing to do, and I’ll continue to do that."

Tottenham are now preparing for Thursday night’s Europa League quarter-final first leg with Eintracht Frankfurt. Spurs have just one avenue remaining to qualify for Europe next season, and that is to win this competition.

It will be no easy feat for a side that has struggled for form all season, but if they can reach the semi-finals, they will feel as though anything can happen, with upsets aplenty running right through this competition on an annual basis. Frankfurt, who have won the Europa League in recent times, are currently third in Bundesliga, but they have lost two of their last three games.

They too have had some injury issues, and they go into this game without a fair few players, though they do have a very big squad, something Tottenham can learn a thing or two from. Ahead of this game, it’s worth noting that Postecoglou has said the following about Destiny Udogie, Richarlison and Micky van de Ven, who did not play over the weekend: “Yeah Destiny and Micky are fine. They have missed a lot of football this year so it made sense to put them on ice today.

"Richy is good. We've kind of done this with a few of the boys coming back and getting them involved in the matchday and the possibility of him getting a run today, but I just thought when they're involved in matchday it gets rid of a lot of the nerves of coming back or anxiety from coming back from a long time out. He'll get a few more days in training and play a part from now on."

Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt going into the first leg.

Can Uzun - Doubt

Uzun has been struggling with illness but should be okay to return for this one.

Ansgar Knauff - Doubt

Knauff will be a doubt with a knee injury, likely return either on Thursday or over the weekend.

Krisztian Lisztes - Doubt

Lisztes is another who has been battling illness but could return.

Eba Bekir Is - Out

Bekir is out until mid-May with a knee injury and could be out for the season.

Dina Ebimbe - Doubt

Ebimbe has been struggling with an abdominal issue and will be a doubt.

Elye Wahi - Out

Frankfurt will be without one of their most dangerous players here, with Wahi out until May with a knee issue.

Kevin Trapp - Doubt

Starting keeper Trapp has a calf issue and will be a doubt.

Timothy Chandler - Out

Chandler is sidelined until later this month with a hip issue.

Ellyes Skhiri - Out

Skhiri is out until May with a knee injury.

Radu Dragusin - Out

Dragusin is out for the season with an ACL injury. Postecoglou confirmed at the time: “Radu underwent surgery today following his ACL injury. That procedure has now been completed, and the centre-back will now commence with his recovery before beginning the rehab process.”

Dejan Kulusevski - Out

This one will come too soon for Kulusevski, who has been out with an ankle injury. Postecoglou said last week: “Kevin and Deki are working hard still. They’re probably a couple of weeks away, but both are progressing well.”

The same update applies to Danso, who has been out with a hamstring issue.
