Fabrizio Romano and Alasdair Gold both report that Min-hyuk Yang will join Tottenham Hotspur in January after he completes a move from Gangwon FC.

Tottenham complete fourth summer signing

It appears Tottenham are approaching their fourth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall (back from loan), and Timo Werner (on loan from RB Leipzig).

The Mirror reported earlier this week that an unnamed Premier League club was in talks with Gangwon FC over the signing of 18-year-old Min-hyuk Yang, and it was ‘mooted’ to be Tottenham.

The deal would apparently see Tottenham loan the teenager back to his current club for the remainder of the season before linking up with the Spurs squad at Hotspur Way.

Min-hyuk Yang will join Spurs in January

Alasdair Gold tweeted this afternoon that Min-hyuk Yang is expected to join Tottenham in January once the K-League season is finished.

MORE SPURS STORIES

He wrote: ‘Spurs closing in on signing another 18-year-old in winger Min-hyuk Yang from Gangwon. The South Korean teenager is expected to join in January in order to see out the K-League season. Has seven goals and three assists in 24 games so far this campaign after turning 18 in April.’

Fabrizio Romano confirmed this news shortly after, stating that ‘Tottenham scouts believe South Korean forward Min-hyuk Yang has important potential, huge talent for the future.’

Spurs Web Opinion:

It sounds like this one is pretty much done and dusted. I can’t wait to see the youngster in action when Tottenham take on Team K-League next week.

I’m sure many fans will find it underwhelming, but there will be more big-name signings to come. Just enjoy the fact that Spurs are really committing to investing in the future.

Report: Man United may enter race for full

Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a new full-back, especially if Emerson Royal leaves the club this summer. But, so are Manchester United, and the two clubs have the same player on their list of targets.

Is Vanderson set for the Premier League?

A lot depends on the players that depart both clubs this summer, with Spurs potentially moving on both (or one of) Emerson Royal and Djed Spence.

Meanwhile, United look set to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with West Ham very interested in signing the full-back (TBR Football).

If those departures do come to fruition, it looks like Spurs and the Red Devils will fight it out over Brazilian right-back, Vanderson.

That’s according to a report from Sky Sports, which suggests United have Vanderson on their radar as a replacement, while Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is also being considered.

Apparently, Erik ten Hag’s side are “ready to act” if Wan-Bissaka does move on soon.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs want Vanderson too

Tottenham have been linked with Vanderson all summer, with Brazilian outlet UOL claiming an approach had already been made by the Lilywhites.

According to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold, Monaco will want £40m for Vanderson. This is backed up by Ben Jacobs speaking to The Last Word on Spurs, who claimed Vanderson would become a ‘concrete option’ if Royal were to leave this summer.

It remains to be seen whether those sales will happen for either club, but either way, it appears Vanderson is a seriously wanted man and could have the chance to play in the Premier League this season.

Spurs Web Opinion

I really like Vanderson and he would definitely be high up my list if we do need a new full-back this season. That said, I’m still holding out hope for a Djed Spence comeback story, which would save us a good £40m.

Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil were left behind in London having been left out of Tottenham Hotspur’s squad for their pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea.

Bryan Gil is surplus to requirements at Tottenham

In a statement on the official Spurs website, the club said Reguilon and Gil “have been granted permission not to travel in order to explore prospective transfer opportunities”.

Gil made only two Premier League starts last season, while Reguilon was loaned out to both Manchester United and Brentford over the course of the campaign.

Bryan Gil is in ‘advanced talks’ over Spurs exit

Football Insider have revealed that Gil is now in advanced talks with Girona about a potential return to Spain.

Tottenham are reported to be prepared to listen to offers for both a loan and a permanent deal, but would rather see him depart for good.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The 23-year-old is edging closer to a return to his homeland, which would end his disappointing stint at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Girona enjoyed a remarkable campaign last season which saw them finish in third place in La Liga above Atletico Madrid and securing Champions League qualification.

Gil joined Tottenham in the summer of 2021 for a £21.6m fee which also saw Erik Lamela head to Sevilla as part of the deal (The Sun).

Tottenham are due to face Vissel Kobe in Tokyo on Saturday before playing a K-League All Stars XI in Seoul on Wednesday and will round off their tour with a fixture against Bayern Munich on Saturday, August 3, which will also take place in Seoul.

SpursWeb Opinion

Hopefully, the advanced talks with Girona are based on a permanent transfer – there have been enough loan spells without mandatory purchase clauses which simply sees Gil lose value season after season.

He has no future at the club and cannot cut it in the Premier League, the sooner he is off the wage bill, the better.

Football Insider reports that Ange Postecoglou is not considering quitting Tottenham Hotspur to become the new England manager.

Postecoglou linked with England

Postecoglou has been linked with the England job ever since Gareth Southgate decided to quit after nearly eight years in charge (Telegraph).

The Australian has received plaudits in England for his attacking style of football since taking over as head coach of Tottenham last summer, helping the club to go back to their attacking principles after the counter-attacking styles of Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.

However, it remains unlikely that Postecoglou will leave Spurs after just over a year, even with the prospect of a potential offer from the Three Lions on the horizon.

Postecoglou to stay at Tottenham

Spurs sources say the club are not willing to consider compensation offers to release Postecoglou from his current contract in North London (Football Insider).

MORE SPURS STORIES

It is also said that Postecoglou is not even considering quitting his post, and the Spurs manager has shown little enthusiasm when asked about England’s managerial vacancy by the press.

Speaking about rumours linking him to the job, he said last week: “Mate, I was having a nap this afternoon, so I’ve got no idea. I’m Tottenham manager and I’m determined to bring success to this club, as I have at every other club I’ve been to. That’s where my focus is totally.” (Football London).

Spurs Web opinion:

Postecoglou surprised Celtic supporters when he left his previous role after just two seasons, he had already won five of six domestic trophies his side competed for, winning a treble in his second season in Scotland.

His project at Tottenham is still in its early days. Young players are being brought in and the future looks exciting. Ange isn’t going anywhere.

Report: Sevilla are about to make an offer to Spurs to sign 23

Sevilla are reportedly about to send an offer to Tottenham, but they are only willing to sanction a loan with an option to buy next summer.

Bryan Gil is set to leave Tottenham

It appears that Bryan Gil’s time in North London is about to come to an end this summer, after a string of loan spells away from the club and a consistent lack of minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham officially announced this week that Gil had been left out of the travelling squad for the club’s pre-season tour of Asia to explore a potential transfer away.

The club wrote: ‘Bryan Gil and Sergio Reguilon have been granted permission not to travel in order to explore prospective transfer opportunities.’

Sevilla are interested in Bryan Gil

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC now report that Sevilla are readying a bid to try and sign Bryan Gil from Spurs, three years on from selling him to the North London club in the first place.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The report claims that Sevilla’s offer will only be a loan with an option to buy, although that could become an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. Either way, Sevilla do not want to pay more than €6m (£5m) to re-sign their former player.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that Girona have opened talks with Tottenham regarding Bryan Gil, although it remains to be seen whether that would be a loan or a permanent exit.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It was time for Bryan Gil to leave 12 months ago, so a transfer simply has to happen this summer.

I don’t think Tottenham can expect much money for him, but £5m seems very low. I would expect something closer to £10m in a loan with an obligation to buy.

Report: Tottenham want almost £38m to sell player amid Napoli interest

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are clearly looking to clear decks this summer, but there is one player who is wanted by Napoli that the club might not want to sell. Whether they do or not, it is thought the asking price needs to be dropped if a move is to happen.

Dejan Kukusevski to Napoli unlikely

In recent days, rumours have started circulating suggesting Dejan Kulusevski is wanted by Napoli. Tottenham, however, reportedly want €45m (£37.8m) for the Swede, which has put the Italian side off.

That’s according to CaclioNapoli24 reporter, Valter de Maggio, who said: “Napoli have made a survey for Swedish attacker Dejan Kulusevski. Tottenham’s request is €45m. It is to be seen whether the requests will decrease in the coming weeks.”

It is not known whether Spurs would drop that asking price, especially given Kulusevski is under contract for another four years, and appears to be happy at the club.

CalcioMercato reported previously that Napoli were hoping to use the ‘special relationship’ between Kulusevski and the new Napoli manager, Antonio Conte, to make a transfer happen.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Kulusevski is wanted closer to home

Napoli are not the only club linked with Kulusevski of late. A report from Football Transfers recently claimed Aston Villa would look at signing the Spurs man after losing Moussa Diaby to the Saudi league.

In that report, it was suggested the Lilywhites could be more open to letting Kulusevski go if they were to sign Pedro Neto this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

I cannot see Spurs letting Kulusevski go regardless of price, but it would take a lot more than £38m to tempt the club.

Given his contract, his age, his ability, and his potential, why would we sell up for such a relatively cheap fee? If he can hit his best form, Kulusevski will be a key player for us this season.

Report: Spurs and Villa both chasing defender who became a free agent this summer

Description

Tottenham and Aston Villa were close rivals for the majority of last season in the race for a Champions League place, and the two clubs may do battle again this summer as they look to sign a highly-rated free agent to add depth to their defences.

Hermoso still has no home

Having come to the end of his contract with Atletico Madrid this summer, Mario Hermoso would probably have expected to find a new club pretty quickly. But, that has not been the case.

The 29-year-old is still without a club, but that could be about to change. That’s according to Area Napoli, who suggest Hermoso has plenty of clubs looking at him, with Spurs and Villa mentioned as potential suitors.

Napoli are thought to be keen, but the player is growing tired of waiting for an offer to come. Meanwhile, Chelsea are also believed to be in the mix.

Despite Atletico’s best efforts to keep hold of Hermoso, the player himself was determined to move on and find a new challenge elsewhere. The Spaniard had even travelled to Italy to discuss a switch to Napoli but it still hasn’t come to fruition.

It is thought Hermoso is not demanding a big signing-on fee and could be a top addition to the Spurs or Villa defence if either club can get the deal sorted.

MORE SPURS STORIES

What does he offer?

Hermoso has played in his native Spain throughout his whole career, turning out for Real Madrid, Valladolid, and Espanyol before joining Atletico in 2019.

He made 45 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two goals and registering two assists as he covered across the back four.

Spurs Web Opinion

Hermoso is a top player, and would add real depth and quality and experience to our backline.

I don’t think we absolutely need him, but if a player like this becomes available, especially for free, I think that’s something you have to look at getting done.
