'Forget that you are tired' - Tottenham's fittest player offers training advice - The Spurs Web
Description

Dejan Kulusevski paid a visit to Jordbro IP last week to hand out some life advice to children, and you can see why the winger is supposedly the fittest player at Tottenham (Mitt i Haninge – via Sport Witness).

Dejan Kulusevski takes part in heart-warming event

Kulusevski spoke to a group of 10-13-year-old’s from IFK Haninge as part of an event set up by Stockholm’s football association and Vitamin Well to give kids who ordinarily wouldn’t be able to afford a training camp with big football stars the opportunity to do so.

Not only were the children given the chance to grill Kulusevski in a question and answer session, but they also trained with the Tottenham star.

Speaking on the event, Kulusevski said: “It’s fun to meet the children, train with them, answer their questions and sign autographs. I’m here because I enjoy it. You have a few hours you can give to others and do something good in everyday life.

“You meet new friends, learn to take instructions, learn to be on time and cooperate. Football is not just football – it is all of life. That there are football pitches where children can play and that they have fun here.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“And that there are good coaches who push them to be better every day and are here for them. And even if you don’t do well, you’re here, hanging out and making friends for life.”

Kulusevski is Tottenham’s fittest player for a reason

Harry Kane recently revealed that Dejan Kulusevski always used to come out on top during Tottenham’s fitness running tests in pre-season (ESPN). The Swede also covered more ground than any other Spurs player in the Premier League last season.

It seems the Spurs star has a simple mantra when it comes to training – ‘forget that you are tired’.

When asked to give the kids some advice on training hard, Kulusevski summoned a comment worthy of an Ange Postecoglou team talk.

He simply said: “Respect everyone – both teammates and opponents. Train, forget that you are tired and instead be the first to train. If you don’t practice, you can’t get good at anything in life.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

Kulusevski may not have had the best season last time out, but he is clearly an absolute professional on and off the pitch, which is why I expect Postecoglou to stick with him.

If he can get back to the levels he was at during his first 6 months at Spurs, then Tottenham could have a devastating attack next season under Ange.

Tottenham Hotspur launch new away kit for 2024/25 season - The Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have today officially unveiled the new Nike Away Kit for the 2024/25 season which Ange Postecoglou’s side will wear as part of the campaign ahead.

The club has confirmed Spurs’ away kit for 24/25 campaign

Tottenham teased the release on their social media channels, including X yesterday where they posted a caption of ‘Tomorrow’ along with a shirt and hourglass emoji.

This shirt incorporates Nike’s DriFIT fabric technology, which claims to wick sweat and moisture away from the skin for faster evaporation

The design of the shirt is a mixture of shades of vertical blue stripes and features the club crest in the middle of the chest area.

Officially, the colours are referred to as Cobalt Bliss/Royal Tint/Binary Blue, with the Nike logo remaining in the usual position on the right-hand side.

Navy is the choice for the collar which comes in a bold, sweeping V shape and has the unique look of the right-hand side appearing to be thicker than the left.

The cuffs are a mixture of navy, white and yellow, while the AIA sponsor appears as navy, rather than the usual red seen on the Tottenham 24/25 home shirt.

Featured on the side of the shirt is a navy strip which continues onto the shorts, which are predominately a very light shade of blue and also have the same combination of navy, white and yellow at the bottom which is also seen on the sleeves.

Tottenham have been partnered with Nike since 2017 and later extended it the following year to a 15-year agreement to last until at least 2033.

Where can I purchase the new Tottenham Hotspur 2024/25 away shirt and playing kit?

As usual, the new kit is currently exclusively available to purchase only through the club’s retail outlets and web stores together with Nike for an exclusivity period before it will be available to buy from a wider range of retailers.

Report says Spurs are working on a deal for midfielder, despite some sources disagreeing - The Spurs Web
Description

Football Insider report that Tottenham are working on a deal to sign Weston McKennie from Juventus this summer, and may have just been handed a boost in their pursuit.

Tottenham linked with Weston McKennie again

Reports linking Spurs with a summer move for McKennie first surfaced last week when Football Insider claimed the Lilywhites were attempting to hijack Aston Villa’s transfer attempts.

It was said that Tottenham had bid £15m for the American star’s services, an offer which was swiftly accepted by Juventus in a major blow to Villa who are trying to replace Douglas Luiz in their midfield.

However, FootballLondon’s Alasdair Gold was quick to pour cold water on the rumours, revealing that he had heard nothing to suggest McKennie was on his way to Spurs.

Gold tweeted: “It is my day off, but no interest from Spurs in Weston McKennie I’m told.”

Aston Villa priced out of a move for McKennie

Football Insider have expanded on their report this week, now stating that McKennie has priced himself out of a move to Villa this summer – presumably because his wages are too high.

This comes after Villa just agreed the transfer of Douglas Luiz to Juventus, with Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior moving the other way (BBC).

Spurs are reportedly now in talks to sign the midfielder, but will be joined by multiple Premier League rivals after McKennie impressed for Juventus in Serie A last season.

Spurs Web Opinion:

If Alasdair Gold says there is nothing happening, there is nothing happening.

Judging by McKennie’s Premier League audition with Leeds United, I also wouldn’t want to see him come in as Tottenham’s big name reinforcement this summer.

Report: Newcastle and Chelsea ready to battle Tottenham for centre-back - The Spurs Web
Description

According to Corriere di Bologna (as relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb), Tottenham Hotspur are now facing competition from Newcastle United and Chelsea for Bologna centre-back Riccardo Calafiori.

Spurs have been linked with Riccardo Calafiori

Over the last few weeks, plenty of outlets have named Juventus as Tottenham’s main competitors for Calafiori’s signature, with the Serie A giants thought to be leading the race for the player.

This includes a recent update by Tutto Juve, which claimed that even though Spurs have stepped up their efforts to sign the 22-year-old, his first preference remains a switch to the Allianz Stadium.

However, if Corriere di Bologna’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham are not the only Premier League side eyeing Calafiori, with Newcastle and Chelsea also thought to have entered the race.

Spurs have competition in Calafiori race

It is alleged that the centre-back’s performances at the Euros have ‘aroused interest’ from England, with all three sides reported to have made contact over a potential deal over the ‘last few hours’.

In addition to the three sides, Real Madrid have also allegedly scouted the Bologna star during his recent outings for Italy.

However, the publication points out that one advantage Juve have in the race is the Thiago Motta factor, with the defender keen to follow the Italian coach to Turin.

Spurs Web Opinion

Calafiori’s price will keep impressing with each impressive performance he delivers at the Euros and Bologna would thus be content to wait for the time being and negotiate a sale at the end of the tournament.

Would Calafiori really want to join Spurs if he is not going to be a guaranteed starter though?

Report: Tottenham could make an offer for 25-year-old in the coming days - The Spurs Web
Description

According to Aslinda, Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to step up their efforts to sign Sebastian Szymanski and are plotting their first offer for the Fenerbahce star.

Sebastian Szymanski has caught Tottenham’s eye

Szymanski was one of the best players across the Super Lig last season, finishing the campaign with 13 goals and 19 assists across all competitions.

Unsurprisingly, the attacking midfielder is now being backed to make a big move this summer, with Tottenham being mooted as a potential destination for the player.

The latest outlet to make this claim was GiveMeSport, who stated a few days ago that Ange Postecoglou wants to add an ‘all-action midfielder’ to his squad and had set his sights on the Poland international.

The report asserted that it would take a bid of around £30m would be required for the North London side to prise Szymanski away from Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

Tottenham leading race for Szymanski

Aslinda have now offered an update on Szymanski’s future, naming Tottenham, Lazio and Marseille as the three clubs battling it out for his signature.

It is suggested that the Premier League club could financially outmuscle the Serie A and the Ligue 1 side in the race for the attacking midfielder.

The report adds that Tottenham officials are expected to sit down with Fenerbahce over the coming days to discuss a deal for Szymanski, with the North London club ready to table an offer of €20m (£16.9m) for the player.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham need a relatively low-cost option as a backup for James Maddison and to take Giovani Lo Celso’s place in the squad and it seems like the club might have settled on Szymanski for that role.

Spurs are keen on 17-year-old centre-back who could cost just £3.3m - Fabrizio Romano - The Spurs Web
Description

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Sampdoria are now ready to sell Tottenham target Giovanni Leoni for a cut-price fee this summer.

Who is Giovanni Leoni?

Leoni was one of the best players across Serie B last season during his loan spell at Sampdoria and it came as no surprise when the Italian club took the €1.5m (£1.2m) option to buy him permanently.

Over the last few weeks, a whole host of outlets have reported that Sampdoria may sell the centre-back on for a profit this summer, with Spurs said to be one of the clubs circling over the youngster.

This claim was made just a few days ago by Il Secolo XIX (as relayed by SampNews24), which suggested that Tottenham could battle the likes of Torino, Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli for the 17-year-old’s signature this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Fabrizio Romano confirms Spurs interest in Leoni

Romano has now taken to social media to offer an update on Leoni’s future, naming Spurs, AS Monaco and Inter Milan as the three clubs leading the race for the defender.

The journalist suggested that Sampdoria would be willing to sell the centre-back for just €4m (£3.3m) this summer as long as they get to keep him on loan for the 2024-25 season.

He tweeted: ‘Italian talented centre-back Giovanni Leoni (2006) will sign new deal at Sampdoria until June 2027. Samp triggered €1.5m buy option.

‘Leoni could be sold this summer with Inter, AS Monaco, Tottenham tracking him. Samp want €4m fee and keeping him on loan until 2025.’

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the low fee involved, one would expect Tottenham to take a bet on Leoni this summer if they believe in his potential.

The North London club have had success with this formula of signing up-and-coming youngsters and loaning them back out over the last few years.

Spurs have not made contact yet despite confirmed interest in striker - Journalist - The Spurs Web
Description

Sky Sports reported Dharmesh Sheth has said that Tottenham Hotspur have not yet reached out to Lille over a deal for Jonathan David.

Spurs have been linked with Jonathan David

The speculation over David’s future has understandably intensified since Lille president Olivier Letang admitted last week that the Ligue 1 club are open to selling the prolific striker this summer.

Various sources have claimed that several Premier League sides, including Spurs and Man Utd, have been alerted by the 26-year-old’s availability.

This includes a recent update by Optus Sport, which suggested that the Red Devils and the Lilywhites could be set to battle it out for the Canadian international, who has just a year left on his contract at Stade Pierre Mauroy.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs have not made contact with Lille yet

Sheth has now also taken to social media to confirm that Man Utd and Tottenham are eyeing David, with the journalist adding that many other Premier League sides are also interested in the forward.

He explained that while no formal contact has been made with Lille regarding a deal, things could change quite rapidly in this transfer saga.

Sheth tweeted: ‘Manchester United & Tottenham among number of Premier League clubs interested in Lille forward Jonathan David. No formal contact – can change quickly.

‘David into final year of contract. Lille President Olivier Letang said David & Leny Yoro can leave this summer.’

Spurs Web Opinion

In terms of value for money, I do not think there is a better striker on the market than David at the moment.

I would not be surprised if we see a number of Premier League sides make an approach towards signing the 24-year-old over the coming days.

'An almightly backlash' - Journalist says Spurs are unlikely to sign young star - The Spurs Web
Description

Journalist Beren Cross has said that Tottenham Hotspur will find it extremely difficult to get their hands on Archie Gray this summer, insisting that there will be a major fan backlash at Leeds if the right-back is sold.

Tottenham are keeping an eye on Archie Gray

It has been well documented that Spurs are looking for a right-back to replace Emerson Royal, who is expected to leave the club this summer, with Gray being mooted as a target for the Lilywhites.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold stated last week that the Leeds academy graduate is seen as someone who would be a natural fit for the inverted full-back role in Ange Postecoglou’s system.

However, he was one of many reporters to suggest that the youngster is not desperate to leave Elland Road this summer and is prepared to play another year of regular football in the Championship before making a big move.

The Athletic even claimed a couple of days ago that that Gray has been on Tottenham’s radar for a long time, with the North London club alleged to have explored a move for the youngster before he signed his first professional contract back in March of last year.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, Cross has now asserted that despite Leeds’ financial issues, Gray is not a player they would want to cash in on this summer as the right-back’s value is only going to increase over the next 12 months.

Leeds are unlikely to sell Archie Gray this summer

When asked about Tottenham’s pursuit of the teenager, the journalist told Football.London: “Archie Gray is one of the other players to come out of last season with a high profile. The 18-year-old was named Championship Young Player of the Season. You can see the trend.

“The difference with Gray is his age and importance to the fan base. His name is iconic in Leeds circles, as the grandson of Frank and great-nephew of Eddie, and as a product of the academy, he bleeds white.

“While supporters understand money needs to be raised this summer, they would rather sell every player in the squad before parting with Gray.

“While [Crysencio] Summerville’s aspirations and trajectory are accepted, at 18, there is belief Gray can have more years with his boyhood club to develop before flying the nest.

“There is no hiding the fact Gray can become a generational England talent. Gareth Southgate has already started talking about him after one full season of senior football.

“Any fee raised for him this summer could feasibly be doubled in two more years if Leeds can just hold on. Marathe and the board know they will face an almighty backlash if Gray is sold this summer.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like it is going to take a mammoth offer of around £40m-£50m for Tottenham to convince Leeds to part ways with Gray.

Even if the Lilywhites are convinced about the 18-year-old’s potential, that is a steep price to pay for a backup right-back and someone who has no top-flight experience.

Alasdair Gold provides update on Tottenham's Gallagher and Eze pursuits - The Spurs Web
Description

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has explained that deals for Conor Gallagher and Eberechi Eze are both turning out to be quite complicated for Tottenham to pull off this summer.

Spurs are interested in both Gallagher and Eze

Both Gallagher and Eze are currently with the England squad at the Euros in Germany but the speculation over their futures continues to run rife.

Gold confirms what we have heard over recent weeks about Tottenham’s interest in the pair, stating that both the Chelsea and Crystal Palace stars are fairly high on Ange Postecoglou’s wishlist.

However, he reveals that the Blues star is showing ‘very little intention’ of leaving Stamford Bridge this summer despite having just a year left on his contract.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Crystal Palace do not want to lose Eze

Meanwhile, the Eagles are thought to have no intention of entering the negotiating table with Tottenham for Eze.

As a result, Spurs would have to pay the 25-year-old’s release clause to bring him to N17, with the clause described as a ‘complicated one’.

However, Gold points out that Eze is represented by CAA Base, who have a good relationship with Tottenham and have strong connections with Daniel Levy, which might help facilitate a move.

Spurs Web Opinion

However, Tottenham seemingly have plenty of work to do to convince Gallagher to make the move across London even though Chelsea are willing to sell.

Report: Tottenham player is in Belgium for a medical ahead of summer transfer - The Spurs Web
Description

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic is on the verge of joining Belgian side KVC Westerlo on loan.

Spurs signed Luka Vuskovic last summer

Last summer, Spurs agreed a deal worth a reported £8.7m with Hajduk Split for the transfer of Vuskovic, with the agreement seeing the player arrive at the North London club in 2025 after he turns 18 years of age (Football Insider).

While the centre-back spent the first half of the season at Hajduk, he struggled for regular game time at the Croatian side and was thus loaned out to Poland in January, signing for Radomiak Radom until the end of the season.

The 17-year-old got plenty of game time for Radom and delivered impressive displays, showing just why he is so highly thought of by many in Croatia.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Vuskoic is on the verge of joining Westerlo

According to Romano, the centre-back will now get a chance to test himself in the Belgian top flight during the 2024-25 season, being on the verge of a temporary move to Westerlo.

The journalist revealed that the Tottenham man is currently having a medical at the Antwerp club before finalising his loan move.

He tweeted: ‘Tottenham future talent Luka Vusković, set to sign for Westerlo on loan from Hajduk Split.

‘Understand Vusković is now in Belgium for medical tests and contract signing. Croatian centre-back will join on season loan, here we go and exclusive story confirmed.’

Spurs Web Opinion

The Jupile Pro League will be a big step up in quality from the Croatian and Polish top-flights and it will be interesting to see how the teenager gets on next season.
