In his last match before linking up with the Tottenham Hotspur squad, Yang Min-hyuk scored a match-winning goal for Gangwon FC.

Yang Min-hyuk continues to impress

Tottenham signed Yang a £3.3m deal from Gangwon FC back in the summer and loaned him back to the Korean club until the end of the year.

The teenager is considered by many to be one of the best young talents in South Korea and he has continued to shine in the K-League over the last few months, vindicating the Lilywhites’ decision to sign him.

Yang‘s latest striker was his 12th goal of the season to go with the six assists he has to his name, which is an impressive tally for a player in his first year of professional football.

Yang nets match-winner in big game

Yang’s latest goal was one of his most crucial strikes of the season, coming in a playoff game against Pohang Stealers.

The 18-year-old was played through on goal with a lovely dinked ball over the top of the Pohang defence in the 36th minute. Yang then showed composure to take a touch and place the ball into the far corner from a tight angle.

Watch his goal below:

When will Yang Min-hyuk link up with the Tottenham squad?

Although Tottenham‘s initial plan was for Yang to arrive in North London in January, the club’s plans have reportedly changed following the injuries to Wilson Odobert and Richarlison.

Tottenham may accelerate goalkeeper search after Guglielmo Vicario surgery

Tottenham Hotspur’s plans for the season have been thrown into turmoil after goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was ruled out for months with a fractured ankle.

With the Italian now set to miss a significant part of the season, Spurs may be forced to accelerate their plans to strengthen their goalkeeper department in the January transfer window.

A blow to Tottenham and Guglielmo Vicario

Tottenham’s goalkeeper department has been shaken to its core, with Guglielmo Vicario set to be sidelined for months after undergoing surgery for a fractured ankle.

The injury, sustained during Tottenham’s remarkable 4-0 victory over Manchester City, has sent shockwaves through the squad and management alike.

Vicario, who has been a key part of Spurs’ defence this season, played on despite the injury, unknowingly exacerbating the problem as he continued to perform at the Etihad.

It wasn’t until after the game that Vicario and the club were informed of the severity of the issue: a fractured right ankle that required surgery.

While the club has not placed a specific return date on Vicario’s return, many experts suggest that the goalkeeper is set to spend significant time on the touchline.

Guglielmo Vicario setback and the January dilemma

Following the revelation of Vicario’s injury, the club is now exploring solutions, including entering the transfer market.

The Telegraph reports that Tottenham had initially planned to reinforce their goalkeeper department at the end of the season, but Vicario’s expected absence for months rather than weeks may force them to accelerate those plans.

In the meantime, head coach Ange Postecoglou will need to rely on 36-year-old Fraser Forster as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.

While Forster has stepped in on several occasions this season, including in the Carabao Cup and Europa League, the 36-year-old is far from a long-term solution.

What next for Spurs as they navigate a difficult spell in their season?

The timing of Vicario’s injury couldn’t be worse, with Spurs set to face a packed schedule in the coming months, including high-stakes league fixtures against Fulham, Chelsea, and Liverpool, as well as a crucial Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester United.

With these games looming, the absence of Vicario could be very costly – many will only begin to wonder why the club did not go for a backup in the earlier summer transfer window.

Despite this, we will have to hope that Vicario’s recovery goes smoothly and that the goalkeeper department is adequately reinforced in the January window.

Dejan Kulusevski has said what Tottenham Hotspur have to do to build on the win over Manchester City, sending a clear message to his teammates.

Spurs show just how good they can be

Tottenham‘s inconsistency this season has left a lot of the supporters frustrated and some had had enough following the loss to Ipswich Town, even questioning if this project is worth persevering with.

However, Ange Postecoglou‘s men served another reminder on Saturday just how irresistible they can be when things click for them.

Manchester City had no answers to Spurs, who emerged with a thumping 4-0 win from the Etihad despite being without both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Dejan Kulusevski sends message to Tottenham teammates

Kulusevski, who was once again the star of the show for Spurs, has now insisted that he and his teammates have no excuse not to build on this big win.

He demanded that this is the standard that the Tottenham players have to maintain every single game going forward.

The attacker told Spurs Play after the 4-0 win: “This is the standard, this is how we have to play every game. If not, we’re just stupid. We just have to keep this level because when we play like this it’s a joy for the world.”

Journalist thinks Spurs may have a new Paul Gascoigne on their hands

The Daily Mail’s Matt Barlow heaps the ultimate praise on one Tottenham star, stating that he is showing shades of Paul Gascoigne with his enterprising and creative play.

Tottenham attacker unplayable against Man City

The adjective ‘unplayable’ has already been used on many occasions to describe a Dejan Kulusevski performance this season, but to deliver a performance fitting that description at the home of the champions was a clear statement by the Swede.

If there was still anyone doubting if the winger now belongs among the elite of European football, their doubts would have been put to rest after his showing at the Etihad Stadium.

In a game which was full of world-class players, the 24-year-old stood head and shoulders above the rest, dominating his opponents physically while also constantly producing magic with the ball at his feet.

Dejan Kulusevski evokes comparisons with Spurs legend

Matt Barlow is the latest journalist to wax lyrical about the Swede, describing the Spurs man as a ‘revelation’ on the back of his showing against Manchester City.

Barlow wrote in his latest column: “The headlines were about Manchester City hitting a wall, the goal hero was James Maddison on his birthday and Dejan Kulusevski was the best player on the pitch, which will come as no surprise to anyone who has been watching Tottenham closely.

“Kulusevski has been a revelation whether out on the right wing where he did the damage at City or deeper and more central in midfield, where Ange Postecoglou has often taken to using him in his second season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“He is strong and seemingly indefatigable with the nerve to get hold of the ball in tight spaces, neat feet belying his towering stature and a magical left foot.”

The journalist admitted that watching Kulusevski get away from defenders evoked memories of watching Gazza in his prime.

He added: “There was a hint of vintage Gazza about the way he bounced through those challenges and emerged with the ball just as there are often flickers of Chris Waddle when he chops the ball inside and teases in crosses from the right as he did for Maddison’s first.”

Spurs warned over Dejan Kulusevski

Barlow pointed out that Pep Guardiola has expressed his admiration for Kulusevski in the past and suggested that an offer from Man City might soon follow.

He advised Tottenham to tie down the former Juventus man to a new long-term contract as soon as possible.

The reporter added: “‘Ooof what a player,’ as Pep Guardiola put it in one of those casual post-match asides that make you suddenly wonder what City might be plotting, like that time he hailed Matheus Nunes as one of the best players in the world and then, a couple of years later went and paid £52million to sign him from Wolves.

“For the record, Kulusevski’s deal still has three-and-a-half years run but, if Spurs have any sense, they will be busy making plans to tie down the Sweden international who joined, initially on loan, from Juventus in January 2022.”

Doctor predicts how long Guglielmo Vicario could be out injured at Spurs

Dr Rajpal Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, believes that Guglielmo Vicario player could be a long time away from returning to Spurs action.

Gugliemo Vicario undergoes surgery as Spurs injury woes continue

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has undergone surgery for a fractured ankle sustained during their impressive 4-0 Premier League win over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite completing the match, the Italian international’s condition has ruled him out indefinitely, and Spurs have yet to provide an official recovery timeline.

The 28-year-old has been a near-ever-present for Ange Postecoglou’s side since his arrival from Empoli in the summer of 2023, missing only four games across all competitions.

His consistent performances have been key in Spurs’ Premier League and Europa League campaigns, making his absence all the more concerning.

Fraser Forster, who deputised in Vicario’s earlier absences this season, will likely step in again as the Lilywhites’ injury issues come at a time when fixtures are piling up.

Currently sixth in the Premier League after their dominant display against the reigning champions, Tottenham also face the challenge of navigating their Europa League campaign, where they sit seventh in their group with three wins and one defeat.

Dr Rajpal Brar’s Spurs injury verdict on Guglielmo Vicario

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has weighed in on the situation, suggesting that Vicario could face a lengthy absence depending on the severity of the injury.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Spurs Web: “The info we know is very general but typically foot/ankle [injuries] are around 6-8 weeks. Could be less, could be more depending on what exactly occurred and the extent of the injury.”

Spurs cannot catch a break with injuries this season

As a Spurs fan, it’s hard not to feel frustrated by the timing of this injury. December is a period when matches come thick and fast, and having squad depth is crucial to navigate the relentless schedule.

With key players already out and Vicario now sidelined, it seems like we simply can’t catch a break when it comes to injuries this season.

Fraser Forster, 36, will be tasked with stepping into Vicario’s shoes, and while I have faith in Forster to step up, it’s impossible not to worry about whether he can maintain the high standards set by the Italian shot-stopper.

I hope Vicario’s recovery falls on the shorter end of the estimated timeline, as this injury serves as a stark reminder of how fragile our depth can be.

With the festive schedule looming, every match feels like a test not just of skill but of endurance. Let’s hope Spurs can weather this storm without losing more ground in the race for top four.

Tottenham 'serious' about signing Chelsea player in summer 2025

Tottenham Hotspur are being backed to make a shock move to sign an England international who has not had the best of starts to his spell at Chelsea this season.

Spurs ready to offer struggling winger a lifeline

The player in question is Jadon Sancho, who has not managed to fulfil his potential since his £73m move back to the Premier League from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021.

Chelsea rescued him from his Man United nightmare back in the summer, signing him on an initial loan with an obligation to buy for £20m-£25m next summer.

According to various outlets (including TEAMtalk), certain conditions have to be met for the obligation to become active, which have not been met so far.

Tottenham could swoop for Jadon Sancho

Fichajes have now revealed that the door might thus open for Tottenham to secure the services of Sancho from Chelsea next summer.

The report says that Spurs are ‘serious’ about a move for the 24-year-old, who Ange Postecoglou is said to be a big admirer of.

The Tottenham head coach reportedly believes that he can get the best out of Sancho and ‘revitalise’ his career, seeing the attacker as someone with ‘undeniable talent’.

MORE SPURS STORIES

With the Blues thought to be looking for a player who is ‘more consistent’ in attack, the Lilywhites might be granted an opportunity to get the Man City academy graduate next summer.

Why Sancho might not be a great fit personality-wise

Tactically speaking, Sancho is undoubtedly a good fit for Postecoglou‘s system, and Tottenham are crying out for a wide player who can commit defenders.

However, there have been question marks about the winger’s personality, with the former Dortmund man even having a public spat with Erik Ten Hag (Goal).

Tottenham are sitting on golden opportunity to boost revenue

Former Everton and Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness believes that Daniel Levy has a great opportunity to follow Manchester United’s lead and significantly boost Tottenham financially.

Tottenham’s one of the best run clubs off the pitch

While Daniel Levy and the Spurs hierarchy have come under plenty of criticism for the club’s struggles to win silverware over the last two decades, there is no doubt that this regime has done an excellent job off the pitch.

Due to the smart moves that they have made, including moving into the new stadium, they have ensured that Spurs will continue to generate one of the highest revenues in Europe for many years to come.

When it comes to commercial revenue, Tottenham rank in fourth place in the Premier League, according to Statista, with the Lilywhites generating £549m per year.

That is still some way short of Manchester City, who generate £718m, and Man United, who generate £650m.

Keith Wyness says Tottenham have a golden opportunity

Wyness believes that one way Spurs can move closer to Man Utd is by properly leveraging the big fan base they have in places like South Korea.

According to reports, 11 million South Koreans, which is 21 per cent of the nation’s adult population, identify as Tottenham fans, thanks in large proportion to Heung-min Son, who is one of the biggest icons in the country (BBC Sport).

MORE SPURS STORIES

Wyness urged Spurs to get a database of their fans around the world, much like Man Utd have done, so that the supporters can be targeted for commercial operations.

The former Everton chief told Football Insider: “The base Tottenham have got to operate from, and what clubs haven’t been good at, is getting a database of their fans.

“Using Son and South Korea as an example, they’ve got to be more active at getting a database of fans in that area.

“Only then can you get the maximum value through sponsors. The Glazers at Man United were very good at this. They were able to sell regional sponsorships.

“That’s where the chance is to increase revenue streams. If you can replicate that and do it in 10 or 20 regions around the world, then you’re starting to motor. That’s where clubs have got to go and that’s where technology has got to take them.”

Tottenham’s commercial considerations on Son’s contract decision

One of the reasons that we can be sure that Tottenham will offer Heung-min Son a new long-term deal is the huge commercial benefits that the forward brings to the club due to his enormous fan base.

While that would certainly not be the main consideration, it is something that the club will take into account in their eventual decision. I would be shocked if they didn’t hand him a new three-year deal.

Glenn Hoddle names his Tottenham player of the season so far

Description

Tottenham Hotspur legend, Glenn Hoddle, has named who he thinks has been the club’s best player this season and apparently it is not even close.

Tottenham’s star player

Dejan Kulusevski has had to work hard to silence his critics this season. He took the Premier League by storm when he arrived from Juventus almost three years ago, with five goals and eight assists in only 18 appearances (14 starts).

However, not everything went to plan for the Swedish international this then. Kulusevski offered fewer goal contributions and looked a bit sluggish and predictable on the right wing over the past two seasons until Ange Postecoglou made a big switch this year.

This season Kulusevski has made much more of an impact, showcasing his creative qualities, attacking threat and skilful dribbling, playing in a more central role which suits him well. But it seems he can still be just as productive in certain games on the right side, as evidenced by his Man City masterclass.

Dejan Kulusevski is currently Tottenham’s best player

One former Spurs man to be impressed with how much Kulusevski has improved this season is Glenn Hoddle, who said the 24-year-old had his best-ever game for Spurs a month ago after the 4-1 win over West Ham.

The Swede might have actually eclipsed that performance on Saturday though, masterminding Tottenham’s 4-0 demolition of Man City away to the Etihad.

Hoddle has gone a step further and claimed that not only is Kulusevski playing his best football at Spurs, but he is outperforming his teammates.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking on the talkSPORT breakfast show, he said: “He’s come alive. If you said to me who is the best player at Tottenham this season so far, it’s Kulusevski by a mile. He loves it in that position [attacking midfield]. I think he had a spell there with Juventus.”

Kulusevski has benefited from his new position

It is hard to argue that Hoddle is wrong in selecting Kulusevski as Tottenham’s best player so far this season. Having just bagged two goals and an assist on international duty, he looked full of confidence against Man City, producing yet another assist to get Spurs going.

Moving into midfield has definitely helped him, as despite playing more games on the wing, Kulusevski has 31 career goals in midfield, compared with 19 on the wing, and a similar number of assists in both positions. Even when he started on the wing against Man City, he still did a lot of his good work while drifting inside off the right flank.

Tottenham cult hero reveals he was always playing through pain under Pochettino

A Tottenham fan favourite, who was part of the Mauricio Pochettino revolution at White Hart Lane, has made a startling confession about his six-and-a-half-year spell at the North London side.

The most talented Spurs player in recent history

While there are many players who made a bigger impact at Tottenham over recent decades than Mousa Dembele, on pure talent alone, the Belgian arguably outranks every one of those legends.

One only needs to listen to how his former Spurs and Belgian teammates talk about the midfielder, with almost every single player naming him as the best player in the side.

Even Dembele’s opponents were in awe of him, with many describing the former Tottenham man as the toughest opponent they have locked horns with (GiveMeSport).

Mousa Dembele’s admission about Mauricio Pochettino era

Dembele was a pivotal part of the Pochettino revolution at Tottenham, being the main orchestrator of the side that went close to winning the biggest trophies in the game.

The 37-year-old’s importance was demonstrated by the fact that the Lilywhites’ decline started when he left the club to join the Chinese Super League in January 2019, with Pochettino being sacked before the end of that year.

Speaking about his time at Tottenham, Dembele has now told So Foot: “Amazing! We had very good players, but above all an excellent team. When Pochettino arrived, we started training a lot harder. It was very intense, stricter than before… The results came later: we easily won matches that had given us problems before.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“What’s a shame is not having gotten our hands on a trophy. But hey, above all I try to remember what we built as a team: there were results, great play and we made people happy.”

Dembele makes an admission about his own body

The former Spurs star has now confessed that he was playing through pain for much of his time at N17. He revealed that his efforts to manage his fitness was one of the reasons why he could not play as important a role as he wanted for Belgium.

Dembele added: “What not many people know is that at Tottenham I was in pain every day. I was playing with under-infusion. Theoretically, the international breaks were supposed to allow me to rest, but I had to rejoin the national team.

“So, in the end, I never got my rest periods. I really wanted to play for Belgium, and I loved it, but sometimes it was too much, the travelling and the load of matches.”

Barcelona and Real Madrid could soon target £25m Tottenham star

Description

Dejan Kulusevski put in a performance against Manchester City that will surely have caught the eye of some of Europe’s elite clubs, and according to Gary Neville, both Real Madrid and Barcelona may soon come knocking for the Tottenham forward.

Spurs’ talent attracting European giants

Tottenham Hotspur have long been a club that produces or polishes players capable of excelling at the very highest level, yet sales to Europe’s top clubs have been few and far between.

The move of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in 2013 remains a standout moment, with the Welshman going on to become a Champions League legend at the Santiago Bernabéu.

More recently, Pedro Porro has reportedly been on Madrid’s radar, though no concrete move has yet materialised.

While the Spanish full-back continues to impress under Ange Postecoglou, Gary Neville has shifted focus to another Spurs star whom he feels is delivering performances worthy of European royalty.

Dejan Kulusevski, signed for just £25 million, has emerged as a critical figure in Tottenham’s attacking setup. Initially deployed on the wing, the Swede has also proven his ability to thrive in a central role, with his adaptability becoming one of his greatest assets.

Against Manchester City at the Etihad, Kulusevski showcased exactly why Neville believes he could soon be on the radar of clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Neville’s praise and Kulusevski’s rise

Neville, speaking on Sky Sports, discussed how Kulusevski’s all-around game has matured under manager Ange Postecoglou. It’s this development that Neville believes will soon see the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Real Madrid taking a closer look.

He said: “Kulusevski was and looks a serious player. He has become a hell of a player. His strength and running power is getting better, but he has a subtlety in beating players.

“He has a variation to his game now. He is a different player now. This is a player that the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid will begin to look at.

“I am not being disrespectful to Spurs, but that was the level of his performance and he has been like that for a while now. He was outstanding.”

Kulusevski’s focus should remain on Spurs’ success

While links to clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona will always capture headlines, Kulusevski’s immediate priority must remain with Spurs.

With Tottenham looking to challenge for silverware under Postecoglou, the Swede’s focus should be on achieving tangible success with his current club, rather than being distracted by speculation about potential transfers.

Neville’s comments underline just how much potential the 24-year-old has, but Spurs must hope that the bright lights of Madrid or Barcelona don’t disrupt what could be a truly transformative season for both player and club. For now, Tottenham can take pride in knowing they have a star whose talent is impossible to ignore.
