Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus, who is open to a move across London.

The Telegraph reports that Spurs are prepared to break their "unofficial transfer embargo" by swooping for a player from one of their London rivals. It would be the first transfer of that kind for 10 years and a crucial acquisition for Thomas Frank's attack.

The Lilywhites have been linked with Bryan Mbeumo, but he is prioritising a move to Manchester United. Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo and Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze are other attacking targets, but Kudus is the "likeliest" to arrive.

Kudus was one of West Ham's brightest attackers in the final year of David Moyes' second spell in charge after arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2023. His versatility allowed Moyes to use him in various attacking roles, and it appeared the Ghanaian would only improve at the London Stadium.

The 24-year-old stumbled last season, struggling to impress under Graham Potter and it appears the Hammers are prepared to move him on to fund a rebuild. He has three years left on his contract and a release clause worth £85m that runs in the first 10 days of July.

Spurs have made him their "primary target" and are optimistic a deal can be agreed "well below" said clause. His potential acquisition would be a massive boost for Frank in the attacking department, but sales may be required to bring him across the English capital.

Kudus, dubbed "world-class", would become the first player since Scott Parker to join from West Ham. The former English midfielder made the move from East to North London in August 2011.

Cristian Romero's future remains uncertain amid interest from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid. There were reports from Argentina suggesting a fee had been agreed between the two clubs, but this has since been played down.

Spurs shouldn't have to worry about Chelse,a who have also been keeping an eye on Kudus. The Blues are focused on completing the signing of Brighton & Hove Albion forward Joao Pedro for £50m and Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens for £55m.

Tottenham are keen to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo this summer, but recognise it could be an expensive deal, Duncan Castles has revealed.

The Lilywhites were dealt a major blow after Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo informed them that he had no attention to sign for the club amid his preference for Manchester United.

It means Tottenham have been forced to consider alternative targets and Semenyo is believed to rank highly on their shortlist.

As per Castles, via the Transfers Podcast, Tottenham's interest in Semenyo is genuine, but Bournemouth are holding out for offers closer to the £70 million mark if they are to be convinced to part ways with their winger.

"They [Tottenham] are looking as well at Antoine Semenyo, Bournemouth, who is one of the fastest wingers in the Premier League, coming off the back of an exceptional season for the club and playing both off the wing and as a central striker. I think that's going to be a difficult deal to do given the amount of money that Bournemouth must have already taken in. We'll talk a little bit more about that later in the podcast, and it looks like the asking price could be as much as 70 million pounds for Semenyo."

Bournemouth have already seen two key players in Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez depart for greener pastures this summer. The former switched to Real Madrid and the latter signed for Liverpool - both earned a total of £90 million in transfer fees for the Cherries.

As such, Bournemouth are in no rush to lose another starter and Tottenham could be forced to play hardball if they are serious about their chances of signing Semenyo.

The Ghanaian international netted a career-best 13 goals last term in all competitions, serving up a further six assists in the process. New Tottenham boss Thomas Frank could certainly benefit from having a player of Semenyo's quality and versatility in his forward options, but it may not come without significant investment.

Tottenham Hotspur's first signing under Thomas Frank is all but set to be confirmed in the coming days, according to Fabrizio Romano - with 20-year-old defender Kota Takai set to join the Premier League outfit after breaking through the ranks at Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale.

And it appears that his first signing as Tottenham boss will be 20-year-old defender Takai, with Tottenham reportedly set to pay around £5million to the J-League side for his services, a record deal for the division. Romano posted on Instagram:

Takai's contract runs for another 18 months, but having already made 57 appearances in the division, alongside four in the Asian Champions League, he's become a real 'breathtaking' star - noted by his captaincy of the club back in April as he featured against Postecoglou's former side, Yokohama F. Marinos.

Tottenham already have Micky Van de Ven, Radu Dragusin and Luka Vuskovic as young centre-backs in their squad, with the latter only being 18 years of age and making his debut for the Croatian national team earlier this month.

But Frank is clearly wanting to strengthen their young backline even further and a deal for Takai looks to be imminent following his rapid development in his homeland, where he has become a key player for the club at such a young age.

Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso have already joined thanks to loan-with-obligation and loan-with-option deals being triggered respectively, but Frank's first acquisition of his own is set to be Takai as he stamps his mark on the north London outfit.

As a result, Postecoglou was relieved of his duties, and they are now entering a new era under Thomas Frank. Daniel Levy will have to back the former Brentford boss if he wants to see improvements in the Premier League, but we're yet to see the north London club make a senior signing so far.

After helping win Palace win the FA Cup and subsequently qualify for Europe, it could be the right time for Eze, described as 'elite' by The Guardian, to move on. There's no doubt he would be a statement signing for Spurs as they look to back new manager Frank, but it will be interesting to see how he fits into the starting XI.

James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski will likely be battling for the same position, so Frank will have a task on his hands keeping them all happy and fitting them into the same side.

Thomas Frank's side will be looking to bring in reinforcements in the coming weeks and months after struggling in the Premier League during the 2024/2025 season. The north London club have been linked with a move for a host of players in the summer transfer window, but they're yet to make a significant signing for the senior squad.

Ange Postecoglou helped build a squad with a strong, young base, with many players having high potential. We haven't seen the best of some of their stars from last season, and Frank could be the man to help unlock them as they prepare for the 2025/2026 campaign.

According to a report from Get Football News Italy, Tottenham have opened talks to sign Lille striker David, who is out of contract at the end of the month. Napoli and Juventus are also actively trying to secure his signature, but Tottenham's involvement has now slowed down their progress in trying to bring him to Italy.

David, described as 'one of the highest-rated strikers in the world by Breaking The Lines, could be a smart addition, especially considering he's available on a free transfer this summer. The Canadian international has also been labelled 'one of the best strikers in the world', meaning it could be a real bargain for Spurs if they get a deal over the line.

It will be interesting to see whether David comes straight into the starting XI if he does sign, considering Spurs invested heavily in bringing Dominic Solanke to the club from fellow Premier League side Bournemouth.
