Description

West Ham United are “monitoring” Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma, who could leave the club before the transfer window shuts, according to Sacha Tavolieri of Sky Sports Switzerland.

The 2024/25 campaign was a disappointing one for West Ham. Despite heavy spending in the summer, the Hammers struggled for form under Julen Lopetegui, who was sacked just six months into his tenure. Replaced by Graham Potter, West Ham played out an underwhelming campaign under the former Chelsea and Brighton boss.

Not including Jean-Clair Todibo, who saw his loan made permanent, West Ham have made four signings to date this summer. Defenders Kyle Walker-Peters and El Hadji Malick Diouf have joined the club, as have goalkeeper Mads Hermansen and striker Callum Wilson. Despite this, the London side endured a tough start to the season.

In a 3-0 loss to newly-promoted Sunderland, the Hammers struggled massively. Their midfield looked sluggish which, combined with Lucas Paqueta’s uncertain future, may mean that the Hammers make a push for reinforcements in the middle of the pitch.

West Ham Tracking Bissouma

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Yves Bissouma is a player that West Ham are keeping an eye on. The Mali international, who has been at Spurs since 2022, missed the Super Cup as punishment from new manager Thomas Frank for being late to training. His subsequent absence from the squad against Burnley to open the Premier League season has sparked rumours about a potential fallout between Frank and Bissouma.

Bissouma, who earns £100,000 per week, would, reportedly, prefer to stay in England, something that West Ham could offer him the chance to do. The 28-year-old would be a brilliant option for the Hammers and would provide them with something different in midfield when compared to the likes of James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and Guido Rodriguez.

The midfielder would, as per Tavolieri, ideally stay at Spurs, but early showings have suggested that he may find first-team football hard to come by under Frank. If West Ham are able to strike an agreement for Bissouma, it would be a brilliant addition as the Hammers prepare for what could be a tough campaign.

Tottenham Submit £60m Offer to Sign 'Incredible' Man City Star

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have, according to Fichajes, submitted a bid worth £60 million to sign Savinho from Manchester City.

Despite becoming the first man to win silverware with Spurs in 17 years by guiding them to Europa League glory, Ange Postecoglou was sacked in the summer, due in no small part to the club’s dismal Premier League form. In his place, the Lilywhites chose to appoint Thomas Frank, formerly of Brentford.

To date, not including any deals done to conclude a pre-existing loan, Spurs have made two major acquisitions. The versatile and attack-minded Mohammed Kudus has signed from West Ham whilst defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha has signed on loan from Bayern Munich. The club were keen on Morgan Gibbs-White until the number 10 signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest.

Evident in their pursuit of Gibbs-White, Spurs clearly want more difference makers going forward, something heightened by the long-term injury James Maddison suffered in pre-season. A deal, at the time of writing, is not yet finalised, but Spurs appear to be closing in on the signing of Eberechi Eze to address this issue.

Recent reports suggest that Tottenham, even with Eze set to join, want to further bolster their attack for new manager Frank as they prepare for a Champions League return.

Spurs Bid For Savinho

Fichajes have stated that Spurs have lodged a bid of almost £60 million to Manchester City for Savinho. The Brazilian moved to the Etihad last season after a brilliant loan spell at Girona and whilst the 21-year-old, no doubt, hoped for more in terms of output, Savinho consistently put in strong, exciting performances for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Given his age, potential and contract situation, Savinho would not be cheap for Spurs, a fellow Premier League side no less. City have reportedly rejected Tottenham’s initial offer for Savinho, though the North London club are supposedly not giving up on signing the winger who, as per Fichajes, wants consistent first-team football ahead of next year’s World Cup.

Savinho could be an exceptional addition for Spurs as they continue to rebuild their squad for their new, tactically astute manager. Whether a deal is ultimately agreed before the September 1st deadline, however, remains to be seen.

'Outstanding' Tottenham Star Put Up For Sale After Thomas Frank 'Fallout'

'Outstanding' Tottenham Star Put Up For Sale After Thomas Frank 'Fallout' - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have "officially" put Yves Bissouma up for sale after his falling out with Thomas Frank ahead of the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.

TheBoyHotspur reports that Bissouma is now expected to leave Spurs after he was omitted from Frank's squad for the cup final loss to PSG on Wednesday (August 13). The Malian midfielder also missed the Lilywhites' 3-0 win over Burnley in their Premier League opener on Saturday (August 16).

Bissouma was dropped after repeated lateness saw him break the club's "internal rules", but his future was already uncertain. The arrival of Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich had cast significant doubts over his place in Frank's side.

Tottenham Ready To Sell Bissouma After Frank Fallout

Bissouma is now available for sale, and the North Londoners are ready to be "flexible in negotiations" because the 28-year-old's contract is up next summer. He's been with the club since the summer of 2022, arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion in a £30m deal.

The Mali international isn't short of suitors as Juventus are thought to be frontrunners, especially if they offload Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian is reportedly close to completing a move to Nottingham Forest, freeing up space in the Old Lady's midfield.

Juve feel Spurs' current asking price is too high and could wait to make their move in the final stages of the transfer window, which slams shut on September 1. His age profile and wages are viewed as a good fit for the Serie A giants, although their rivals AS Roma are also keeping tabs.

Bissouma could stay put in the Premier League as West Ham United are also showing interest, and Graham Potter will be eager to freshen up his midfield. The Hammers were embarrassed by newly-promoted Sunderland in a 3-0 defeat in their season opener, and the English tactician knows the player well, having overseen his development at Brighton.

A move to the Turkish Super Lig to link up with Jose Mourinho is another possibility as Fenerbahce are expected to make contact with Spurs. They are thought to be "pushing hard" to bring the player to Turkiye and, like Juve, have no issues with his wages.

Bissouma, who Chris Waddle previously hailed "outstanding", was a regular under Ange Postecoglou last season, featuring 44 times across competitions. He played the entire 90 minutes of the Lilywhites' 1-0 win against Manchester United in the Europa League final, which might be his final appearance for the club.

Description

Eberechi Eze is growing closer to the exit door at Crystal Palace, according to reports - but the midfielder's move to Tottenham Hotspur won't stop him from starting for the Selhurst Park outfit in the Premier League this weekend.

The Eagles star has long been linked with a move away from the club, having picked up interest from Manchester City last summer, as well as Arsenal and Tottenham with clubs in European competitions looking to pack out their squads with incredible attacking talent, in which the former Queens Park Rangers star would fit the bill.

Ornstein: Eze 'Set to Start' for Palace vs Chelsea

Talks of a move to Tottenham then ramped up last week. Eze is thought to be keen on moving across the capital, with the club playing in the Champions League next season after beating Manchester United in the Europa League final in May.

The report by David Ornstein on X (formerly Twitter) states that Eze is expected to start for Palace at Chelsea in Sunday's Premier League clash, despite being targeted by Spurs for a potential transfer.

The Lilywhites' pursuit of the England attacker is ongoing, but there is no agreement as yet - and the Eagles will continue to work on possible replacements before parting ways with his services.

Palace boss Oliver Glasner has praised Eze's professionalism, but has offered no guarantees that he will remain at the club beyond the end of the transfer window.

The report by Ornstein continues in The Athletic, stating that Palace are working on his replacement, with Leicester City star Bilal El Khannouss being approached ahead of a potential move, with the only incomings in south London this summer being backup goalkeeper Walter Benitez and Ajax full-back Borna Sosa.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Eberechi Eze has one goal in 11 caps for England's national team.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have landed Mathys Tel and Mohammed Kudus already this summer - but with club legend Son Heung-min departing for Los Angeles and key playmaker James Maddison suffering a long-term ACL injury, Thomas Frank is looking to bolster his squad with Eze being a target.

Tottenham have also reportedly lined up a move for Manchester City star Savinho in a separate deal, but nothing has come of their approach yet and the Danish gaffer will be willing to bolster his squad in the final two weeks of the transfer window.

Sky Sports: Everton Want to Sign ‘Ridiculous’ Tottenham Star Amid Frank Decision - GiveMeSport
Description

Everton are “monitoring” Yves Bissouma and could consider a move for the midfielder if he is to depart Tottenham this summer, according to Sky Sports Switzerland reporter Sacha Tavolieri.

Despite only arriving at the club in January, David Moyes has had a clear impact on the Everton squad. Moyes, returning to Merseyside 12 years after first departing the Toffees, took a team that looked set for a relegation battle and steered them to a comfortable mid-table finish in the Premier League.

Now, with a new stadium and new ownership in their first summer window, Everton have made seven additions to their squad, none more eye-catching than the loan signing of Jack Grealish, who is looking to rediscover his flair after a rather lacklustre season with Manchester City.

Elsewhere, Everton have signed goalkeepers Mark Travers and Tom King to support Jordan Pickford, defender Adam Aznou, striker Thierno Barry and, after losing Abdoulaye Doucoure, midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Charly Alcaraz, the latter having originally joined the club on loan last winter.

It would seem that the Toffees are hoping to further reinforce their midfield ahead of the window’s final weeks, according to recent reports.

Everton Keeping Tabs on Bissouma

Sacha Tavolieri has reported that Yves Bissouma is a player that Everton are “monitoring.” At the time of writing, Spurs have played just one match under new manager Thomas Frank, the Super Cup against Paris Saint-Germain. Bissouma missed that match, a punishment for having been late to training on multiple occasions. The midfielder was also left out of Tottenham's first league match squad against Burnley.

A Tottenham player since 2022, Bissouma has been a key first-team player since moving to North London from Brighton and his preference, reportedly, would be to stay at Spurs for the 2025/26 campaign. Should Frank decide to part ways with the Mali international, however, it seems that Bissouma would wish to remain in England.

As such, Everton would offer him a clear opportunity to play consistently, whilst remaining in the Premier League with a team that are looking to push further up the table. Bissouma, who James Maddison dubbed a "ridiculous" player, would be a brilliant addition for Moyes, further options alongside the likes of the aforementioned Dewsbury-Hall.

Bissouma was signed by Spurs for £30 million and it is hard to imagine that the club would sell for a fee much less than that. Whether a deal is pursued remains to be seen, but Bissouma would be a statement of intent from the Toffees as they prepare for a new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Description

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is pushing to join Tottenham before the end of the summer transfer window, Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri has reported.

The 'superstar' England international is believed to have already agreed personal terms over a move to North London and is expected to be left out of Oliver Glasner’s squad to face Chelsea on Sunday.

Palace are preparing for Eze’s departure and are understood to already be in talks to sign his replacement, with the 27-year-old attacking midfielder now aiming to end his five-year Selhurst Park spell.

Tottenham are firm favourites to land Eze before the deadline, as GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano previously revealed, with talks also ongoing for Manchester City winger Savinho’s arrival.

Tottenham Agree Personal Terms with Eze

Tavolieri, writing on X, revealed that Eze has agreed personal terms to join Tottenham and is ‘pushing’ to depart Palace in the coming weeks:

Eze, who joined Palace from QPR in 2020, has been a key player for the Eagles over the past several seasons, making 168 appearances, scoring 40 goals and providing 28 assists.

The 27-year-old helped Palace lift their first major trophy with FA Cup success at Wembley last season and featured in their Community Shield victory over Liverpool last weekend.

He has less than two years remaining on his Selhurst Park contract, which runs until June 2027, and is one of the club’s highest earners, taking home £100,000 per week.

Tottenham are on the lookout for late attacking reinforcements following former captain Son Heung-min’s move to MLS side Los Angeles FC and injuries to Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.

While Kulusevski has yet to return after suffering a serious knee injury in May, Maddison sustained an ACL setback in a pre-season friendly earlier this month and could miss the entire 2024/25 campaign.

‘Unplayable’ Tottenham Star Now Wants to Sign for Leeds, Farke Loves Him - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham forward Manor Solomon hopes to return to Leeds before the end of the summer transfer window, journalist Dom Smith has claimed.

The 'unplayable' 26-year-old winger is expected to depart North London this summer and reportedly prioritises a return to Elland Road as he is not part of new manager Thomas Frank’s plans.

Solomon spent last season on loan with Leeds in the Championship and was a key player in Daniel Farke’s side, scoring 10 goals and providing 12 assists in 39 appearances.

He last played for Spurs in September 2023 before suffering a serious knee injury and has amassed only six senior appearances for the Lilywhites to date.

Solomon joined Tottenham on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2023 and is under contract for another three seasons.

Manor Solomon Wants Elland Road Return

According to King, Solomon’s plans of returning to Leeds could be impacted by their interest in AC Milan forward Noah Okafor, who is highly rated within the Elland Road hierarchy.

Leeds believe they have an opportunity to sign Okafor before the deadline and have genuine admiration for the Swiss international, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Napoli.

He played only four times for the Serie A champions before returning to San Siro, where he is under contract until June 2028.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Okafor scored seven goals and provided five assists in 53 appearances for AC Milan.

Leeds have been one of the Premier League’s busiest clubs this summer as they are now working on their ninth signing, with talks ongoing for Leicester City defender James Justin’s arrival.

The Whites announced Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s arrival on a free transfer earlier this week and have also welcomed the likes of Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol and Lucas Perri.

Farke’s side kick off their Premier League season with a home clash against Everton on Monday.

Tottenham v Burnley Predicted Starting Lineups for Premier League Match Amid Bissouma Update - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham and Burnley will go head-to-head in their opening Premier League match on Saturday afternoon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Thomas Frank's side come into the game on the back of suffering late heartbreak in the UEFA Super Cup against PSG in midweek, as they blew a 2-0 lead in the final five minutes before losing on penalties. Scott Parker's team on the other hand come into the season full of confidence following a 100-point Championship season, where they had record-breaking defensive numbers.

Both managers will have some big decisions to make with their starting lineups, and this is how GIVEMESPORT expect the teams to look.

Tottenham Team News

Spurs will come into the game with a number of injury problems for this game, but none bigger than playmaker James Maddison who will miss the majority of the 2025/26 season after rupturing his ACL.

Dejan Kulusevski, Destiny Udogie and Radu Dragusin are also set to miss the game, while summer signing Kota Takai and returning loanees Bryan Gil and Manor Solomon are also unlikely to feature. Yves Bissouma could return, however, after missing the Super Cup for disciplinary reasons after being late to training several times.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Frank shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.

"Every player is available for the team tomorrow. Destiny is progressing, but's too early for him to be involved in the squad.

"Bissouma was a situation. I addressed it. There was a consequence. Bissouma will be in the squad tomorrow. We move forward. We have a big game tomorrow.

"Every player here is part of the plans. Manor [Solomon] is just back from his injury in terms of being on the pitch, he had part training with the team yesterday."

Tottenham Predicted XI

Tottenham Predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Bentancur; Johnson, Richarlison, Kudus.

Tottenham Predicted Substitutes: Kinsky (GK), Gray (DEF), Davies (DEF), Bergvall (MID), Sarr (MID), Bissouma (MID), Solanke (FWD), Johnson (FWD), Odobert (FWD).

Frank's side turned in a sensational performance against PSG before ultimately falling short, and it seems unlikely that there will be too many changes in the team as a result.

A back five worked well with protection in front, but Brennan Johnson could come into the attack to provide an extra option. £90,000-a-week star Dominic Solanke is likely to be on the bench as he continues to step up his recovery from injury, while £120,000-a-week duo Lucas Bergvall and Yves Bissouma provide depth too.

Burnley Team News

Burnley have had a very busy summer transfer window as they look to bring in Premier League experience and quality, with the likes of Kyle Walker, Martin Dubravka, Axel Tuanzebe, Armando Broja and Lesley Ugochukwu joining alongside others.

Bashir Humphreys, Manuel Benson, Zeki Amdouni, Zian Flemming and Jordan Meyer are unlikely to return after missing pre-season, but Dubravka and Connor Roberts should be fit after recent knocks

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Parker shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.

"No injury concerns, we have had a good pre-season. Picked up a couple of little niggles along the way but we are in a good place.

"The balance of the squad is crucial. We have signed players who have been in the division and understand what it looks like. It’s a young squad but these players are crucial for us. I am delighted to have them as part of our group."

Burnley Predicted XI

Burnley Predicted XI: Dubravka; Sonne, Walker, Ekdal, Esteve, Hartman; Cullen, Ugochukwu; Bruun Larsen, Foster, Anthony.

Burnley Predicted Substitutes: Hladky (GK), Roberts (DEF), Tuanzebe (DEF), Humphreys (DEF), Laurent (MID), Hannibal (MID), Edwards (FWD), Flemming (FWD), Tchaouna (FWD)

Parker is likely to stick with the players who have played regularly during pre-season and impressed, which means Armando Broja will probably miss out, but new striker Jacob Brun Larsen will start.

Eze Agents Send Message to Tottenham Amid Arsenal Hesitation

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have taken a big step in their race with Arsenal to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, according to reports - with the England star's personal terms being 'no issue' should the Europa League winners make an official approach to land his services ahead of the new season.

The report by talkSPORT on Monday states that Tottenham are set to make a bid for the Palace star, and so their chances of signing him have been given a huge boost - with Eze's camp letting them know that personal terms will 'not be a problem'.

Report: Tottenham to 'Make' Eze Bid, Personal Terms 'No Issue'

Spurs see the England international as a No.10, and amid James Maddison's long-term injury suffered at the start of the campaign, any move will be separate to a deal looking to bring Brazil star Savinho to the club, as Daniel Levy looks to plunge insane funds for Thomas Frank's men to compete both domestically and continentally.

Spurs, as a result of Arsenal's interest, as hoping to move quickly in the race to land Eze and that has been massively helped out by the fact that personal terms won't be an issue for the Eagles star. Eze is open to a move, and whilst he wants to play Champions League football, staying in London is key for him - which makes the north London duo the favourites to win his signature.

Arsenal do hold a tentative interest in Eze and a late window move cannot be 'discounted', though Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman will be banging on the door for minutes behind Martin Odegaard and therefore, Eze may not get the minutes he'd demand, should his arrival hinder the development of Nwaneri and Dowman.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Eberechi Eze has one goal in 11 caps for England.

Spurs want to move quickly, before Arsenal can 're-enter' the race for his signature, although they don't value Eze's £68million release clause as good value, instead ranking him closer to Mohammed Kudus at £55million, which was his fee after moving to north London from West Ham United earlier in the season.

It remains to be seen whether Palace will engage at the lower offer, but Spurs are optimistic a deal can be done and a first bid, even to test the waters, is now anticipated. Eze grabbed a personal-best eight assists in the Premier League last season, but his real strong showing for Palace was in the FA Cup where he scored in each of the last three rounds to lift their first-ever major trophy.

Fabrizio Romano Shares Update on Tottenham Talks to Sign Eze

Fabrizio Romano Shares Update on Tottenham Talks to Sign Eze - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur remain in direct talks today over a deal to sign Eberechi Eze, with a transfer now dependent on how negotiations proceed with Crystal Palace after the player gave the green light, according to GIVEMESPORT Senior Reporter Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs have been looking to add some more creativity to their squad after James Maddison suffered an ACL injury during the match against Newcastle United on their pre-season tour of South Korea.

Eberechi Eze 'Keen' to Join Tottenham

Eze has emerged as one of Thomas Frank's top targets - alongside Manchester City winger Savinho - in recent days as the north London outfit look to boost their frontline with just over two weeks of the transfer window remaining.

According to Romano, Eze has told Tottenham that he is 'keen' to join them this summer, which is a good starting point for discussions with Palace which are continuing on a daily basis.

Writing in his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter on Friday, Romano said:

Eze is keen on a Spurs move, for sure. The deal depends on the two clubs now, who remain in direct talks.

A transfer now depends on what Tottenham are willing to offer Palace for Eze, whose £68m release clause expires on Friday ahead of the new Premier League season.

Previous reports suggested that the Eagles wanted potential suitors to pay the England international's clause in full, and their stance is unlikely to change much with regard to a potential fee after the deadline on Friday, according to David Ornstein.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Eze scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions for Crystal Palace last season.

Having lost Son Heung-min to the MLS and Maddison to injury in pre-season, some could argue that Spurs' attacking options are actually weaker than last term as things stand, despite the arrival of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham and the permanent signature of Mathys Tel.

Tottenham have already failed with a move to bring in Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White, and Frank will hope that negotiations prove to be more simple for both Eze and Savinho ahead of the club's Champions League campaign.
