Brooklyn Earick reveals official Tottenham takeover bid decision after £4.5 billion rumours - Spurs Web
Description

After having his expression of interest in buying Tottenham rejected, Brooklyn Earick has now announced whether he and his consortium will make an official offer for the North London club.

Two parties that showed interest in buying a stake in Tottenham Hotspur have already ruled themselves out of the race in the past month.

The PCP group had already confirmed a few weeks ago that they would not be launching an offer for Spurs after their approach was turned down by the Lewis family last month.

Firehawk Holdings also confirmed a few days ago that they do not intend to bid for Spurs after making an initial approach at the same time as PCP.

Brooklyn Earick reveals his Tottenham plans

It emerged last week that a consortium headed by Brooklyn Earick was ready to spend a world-record fee to buy Tottenham.

Tottenham unequivocally rejected an informal expression of interest from Earick’s consortium and have maintained that the club is not for sale.

As per the UK Takeover Code, Earick’s consortium had to announce whether they intend to make an offer for Spurs by October 24, and The Telegraph’s Matt Law has now revealed that an announcement has indeed arrived.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The journalist relayed information shared with the London Stock Exchange, which announced that the American consortium will not be launching a bid for Tottenham.

The statement from LSE reads: “Further to the announcement made by the Board of Tottenham Hotspur Limited on 26 September 2025 regarding an informal expression of interest in relation to a proposal to acquire the total issued, and to be issued, share capital of the company, Mr Brooklyn Earick confirms that he does not intend to make a firm offer for the company.”

Tottenham’s board have responded to the recent announcements by Firehawk and Earick, reiterating that the club is not for sale.

Their statement reads (via Matt Law): “The board of directors of Tottenham Hotspur notes the recent announcements from the Firehawk and Mr Earick’s consortiums that they do not intend to make an offer for the club.

“The board thanks them for the constructive approach taken in the discussions with the club’s and the Lewis family’s representatives, and respecting the clear position of the Lewis family that the club is not for sale. Following the announcements made by the consortiums, the club is no longer in an offer period under the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.”

Simon Jordan makes interesting Spurs takeover claim

While discussing the growing interest in buying Tottenham, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan made a very interesting observation last week about telling the parties who are genuinely interested apart from pretenders.

He opined that those who signal their interest publicly, like Earick did, rather than having behind-closed-door negotiations, are seldom genuinely interested in buying the club.

However, Jordan rejected the idea that the Spurs are not for sale, insisting that every club will be sold as long as the owner’s valuation is met.

FA launch official investigation into controversial incident with Tottenham player - Spurs Web
Description

The Football Association are investigating what happened immediately after Mohammed Kudus’ goal for Tottenham against Leeds United on Saturday.

The win at Elland Road was a huge result for Spurs after back-to-back draws in the Premier League against Brighton and Wolves.

The result took Tottenham back into third place in the Premier League table and ensured that, after nearly two years, the Lilywhites went into an international break on the back of a win.

While it was all celebrations at the full-time whistle for the Spurs players, the clash was marred by some unfortunate crowd incidents.

FA investigating Leeds fans after Tottenham incident

According to The Mirror, the FA have now launched a probe into the conduct of the home fans at Elland Road after objects were thrown at visiting Spurs players.

The first incident saw a vape thrown at Pedro Porro as he was about to take a corner. Porro made light of the incident by pretending to smoke the wape, but the next incident was no laughing matter.

Mohammed Kudus netted what proved to be the match-winner on 57 minutes, which was the Ghanaian’s first goal for the club, and he pulled out his trademark celebration by sitting on a steward’s stool.

MORE SPURS STORIES

While the Tottenham winger was seated, a bottle appeared to be thrown in his direction by the home fans, which only narrowly missed the 25-year-old.

None of the Spurs players reacted to the projectile being thrown, but the FA have now commenced their investigation into the incident, which could lead to Leeds being hit with a significant fine.

Tottenham showed excellent game management at Elland Road

While Frank is yet to get everything right at Spurs, what is already clear is that the players have full faith in the system and know exactly what to do to manage games.

There is no sense of panic when defending slender leads, with there seemingly being a quiet sense of confidence in the Tottenham players that they can shut shop if they want to.

The Spurs stars are getting carried away by emotions during the ebbs and flows of the game, which was also evidenced by the Spurs players not reacting to having objects thrown at them.

Watch Tottenham’s Tyrese Hall make it four goals in four games for Notts County - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham youngster Tyrese Hall is on a great run of form at the moment, and the midfielder made decisive contributions once again for Notts County as they overcame Oldham Athletic on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Spurs midfielder is thought of very highly at Hotspur Way, and former Tottenham academy coach Jermain Defoe has even expressed his surprise that Hall has not made his Tottenham debut yet.

Given that Hall reportedly attracted interest from Championship clubs in the summer, it came as a bit of a surprise when Spurs decided to loan the youngster to Notts County in League Two.

As some would have expected, the Spurs academy graduate is proving to be too good for the fourth tier of English football.

Watch Tottenham’s Tyrese Hall continue his fine goalscoring form

Two weeks ago, Hall netted an impressive brace against Crawley Town, followed by a goal in the League Cup against Barnsley, and the Spurs man has continued his impressive form in front of goal.

He got Notts County’s second goal on 29 minutes in their 3-1 win at home against Oldham, with the midfielder seizing on a loose ball just inside the box and curling home impressively.

Hall then turned provider in the second half, playing striker Alassana Jatta through on goal on 49 minutes to put the game beyond the away side.

Spurs may be considering repeating Alfie Devine playbook with Hall

Not many at Tottenham would be surprised that Tyrese Hall seems to be thriving in League Two, and the club’s decision makers are now faced with a decision on what to do in January.

Two years ago, Spurs recalled Alfie Devine from his loan spell in League One with Port Vale and sent him to Plymouth Argyle in the Championship in January, in light of the midfielder proving too good for League One.

If there is an option to prematurely end Hall’s spell at Notts County, the Lilywhites would be seriously considering handing him a tougher challenge for the second half of the season.

Supercomputer predicts Tottenham’s Premier League finish after win over Leeds - Spurs Web
Description

Following Tottenham’s win at Elland Road, we take another look at the predicted final Premier League standings of Opta’s Supercomputer.

This season has been extremely unpredictable so far, and as one would expect, pundits and experts have been changing their tune about various sides after almost every game.

The predictions of Opta’s Supercomputer have been no different, with the algorithm predicting a 14th-place finish for Thomas Frank’s men before the start of the season.

Spurs have considerably moved up the predicted Premier League table in light of their impressive start to the season, with Opta backing Tottenham to finish eighth following their draw against Wolves at home.

Tottenham remain in eighth place in Opta’s predicted table

According to Opta’s latest calculations, there has been no change in Tottenham’s expected finishing position following their 2-1 win at Leeds, with the supercomputer still backing the Lilywhites to finish eighth.

However, the algorithm has revised Tottenham Hotspur’s expected points tally from 55.49 to 57.04 following the latest result.

According to the supercomputer, Spurs only have a 17.18 per cent chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Why the win over Leeds was huge for Spurs’ season

Ahead of their trip to Elland Road, Tottenham had only managed to win one of their last four matches: their 3-0 win in the Carabao Cup against Doncaster Rovers.

Amidst Spurs’ mini form slump, the critics of Thomas Frank’s approach were growing louder, with some concerned about the side’s inability to create chances with regularity.

Spurs thus desperately needed the three points against Leeds to keep the confidence high and to carry on the momentum, and the players thankfully put an end to the club’s poor record leading into international breaks.

World cup winner could make a two-year return to football against Tottenham Hotspur - Spurs Web
Description

One former Premier League player could soon line up against Tottenham Hotspur in his first match in more than two years.

Tottenham Hotspur got off to a good start in the Champions League, defeating Villarreal 1-0 in their opening match. This was followed by a less-than-impressive 2-2 draw with Bodo/Glimt.

Next up Spurs face AS Monaco, who most recently rescued a draw in stoppage time against Manchester City. Eric Dier was the man to score a penalty in the dying stages of the game and he will take on his former club later this month in an anticipated reunion.

The match could be significant for more reasons than one, because it could be the day a former Premier League midfielder returns to the pitch for the first time since September 2023.

Paul Pogba could be selected to face Tottenham

Paul Pogba is the man who could be about to get back in action after a lengthy spell away from the game. He was handed a four-year ban for a failed drugs test, but this was downgraded to last October to 18 months.

Juventus released Pogba in November 2024, but he was signed by Monaco in June this year. The Frenchman is yet to make an appearance, but will return to the pitch after the international break.

According to Sport Witness, Pogba could make his first appearance in over two years on October 18 against Angers. However, if this is not the case, Tottenham are the team he is likely to face in his first match back.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Pogba’s record against Spurs

Pogba has made eight appearances in all competitions against Tottenham as a Manchester United player. He has never found the back of the net against the North London club, but has registered four assists. As well as this, Manchester United have won five fixtures against Spurs when he has played and lost three, while one match ended in a draw.

However, Pogba did play the full 90 minutes when Tottenham thrashed Man United 6-1 at Old Trafford five years ago when Jose Mourinho was in charge.

Both Spurs and Monaco could use a win when they meet in the Champions League, and there is a good chance it will be a close game. It will be a quick turnaround for Tottenham, who face Aston Villa three days before.

Tottenham renew interest in Serie A defender once tipped as Cristian Romero’s replacement

Tottenham renew interest in Serie A defender once tipped as Cristian Romero's replacement - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are still scouting a centre-back who was linked with a move to North London during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur have a much stronger defence than last season, which is largely thanks to a change in tactics and fewer injuries. However, Thomas Frank did add Kota Takai to his squad, although he is yet to make an appearance due to his plantar fasciitis issue.

Kevin Danso had already been on loan at Spurs when Ange Postecoglou was in charge and his deal was made permanent. The 27-year-old has made two starts this season, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven very much favoured at the club.

Despite this, Tottenham are reportedly keen to sign another centre-back in the next transfer window and have been watching a player who was linked with a move to Spurs in the summer.

Tottenham re-join the race to sign Mario Gila

Tottenham identified Mario Gila as a replacement for Romero, but the Argentine defender remained at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and even became the new club captain. As a result, Spurs never made an official attempt to sign Gila.

However, TBR Football report that Tottenham are watching Gila, who has fewer than two years remaining on his Lazio contract.

Spurs are not the only club in the race for the Spaniard’s signature. Bournemouth held talks to sign Gila in the summer and Crystal Palace, Brighton and Everton are now interested in making a move for the defender.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs should prioritise signing a left winger

A new quality centre-back would be useful to Spurs if either Romero or van de Ven are ruled out with an injury, but until that happens, signing another central defender is not necessary. There are still alternative options, such as Danso and Ben Davies, while Luka Vuskovic will return next summer.

Whereas the left-wing position is severely understaffed. Xavi Simons is clearly better as a midfielder and Frank keeps swapping between Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert with limited success.

Signing a centre-back without adding a left winger would be a mistake and could cost Spurs later on this season.

Defensive stat hints Tottenham may be immune to squeaky bum time under Thomas Frank - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have gone into the international break just two points off the top of the Premier League table, and a stat has been revealed which shows why they are picking up points.

Tottenham Hotspur have already put their supporters through a rollercoaster of emotions this season. An intense UEFA Super Cup clash was followed up with impressive victories, including against Manchester City. However, Spurs then fell to defeat at home to Bournemouth.

Their form since has been a mixed bag. Tottenham have not lost a game recently, but they have dropped points three times against Brighton, Wolves and Bodo/Glimt respectively.

However, Spurs defeated Leeds United at the weekend and have moved up to third place in the Premier League table.

Tottenham end matches better than any other Premier League team

Tottenham came close to defeating PSG in August, but their defence fell apart during the closing stages of the game. Since then, Thomas Frank’s team have been on the opposite end of last-minute comebacks.

Spurs are not only thriving at scoring late goals, but by maintaining a strong defence towards the end of their matches.

Statmuse revealed that Tottenham are the only team not to have conceded a goal in the final 15 minutes of a Premier League match this season. This has been a key factor in helping Spurs to the league position they find themselves in ahead of the next international break.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs have improved in defence this season

Tottenham have clearly learned from the PSG game and are fighting until the very last minute. One aspect which helps is that their defence is much more stable and organised than it was last season.

Spurs have been able to start Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven together in every game this season, except against Bodo/Glimt. This has resulted in them having the joint second best defence in the Premier League, alongside Newcastle United and Crystal Palace.

Mohammed Kudus breaks silence on hitting Micky van de Ven in the face before Tottenham move - Spurs Web
Description

Mohammed Kudus has finally spoken about that infamous moment when he clashed with Micky van de Ven during a heated London derby last season, a scuffle that saw him sent off, and what it is now like to share a dressing room with the Dutch defender at Tottenham.

It is not often that a player moves directly from West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur, given the rivalry that exists between the two clubs, but Mohammed Kudus became the latest to make that rare switch this summer.

One would have to look back to 2011 for the last time such a move happened, with Scott Parker making the same journey across London.

The rivalry between both clubs is fierce, with Thomas Soucek once revealing that West Ham players particularly relish coming up against Tottenham, while Kyle Walker also claimed that games against West Ham often feel more intense than even the North London Derby against Arsenal.

Mohammed Kudus reflects on Micky van de Ven clash in Tottenham vs West Ham

Kudus has already experienced his fair share of fiery derbies for both West Ham and Tottenham, but last season’s clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium stands out for all the wrong reasons.

The Ghana international lost his cool that day, getting into a scuffle with Micky van de Ven which ultimately led to his dismissal, as Spurs went on to claim a 4-1 victory.

Now teammates under Thomas Frank, Kudus has opened up about how he feels playing alongside the same player he once clashed with.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Kudus revealed that there are no hard feelings between them, insisting that what happened on the pitch stayed there. “I think it is just, whatever happened on the pitch stays on the pitch, you know? I was just fuming in that game, and I just reacted straight away, and then it is done and dusted after the game,” he said.

He added, “So it is nice playing with him now, it is a small world in football. So just try to patch up and move on.”

Kudus is shining under Thomas Frank at Spurs

Despite that past altercation, Mohammed Kudus has settled remarkably well in north London. His performances under Thomas Frank have been outstanding, and he has quickly become one of Tottenham’s most consistent attacking threats this season.

The Ghana international looks sharp, confident, and focused, showing no signs of discomfort in his new surroundings. He seems to have found his rhythm in Frank’s system and looks set to surpass his numbers from last season with West Ham.

Kudus registered three assists last term, but he has already notched four in over 25 fewer games this campaign. At £55 million, he could well prove to be one of the best value signings of the summer if his upward trajectory continues.

Thomas Frank’s stance on replacing Guglielmo Vicario at Tottenham revealed - Spurs Web
Description

Thomas Frank’s stance on replacing Guglielmo Vicario has now been made clear, following the Tottenham goalkeeper’s error against Leeds United.

Tottenham Hotspur finally ended their frustrating run of failing to win matches before international breaks, after edging Leeds United 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

It was a tense affair at Elland Road, with the away side taking an early lead through Mathys Tel, whose strike took a deflection on its way past Karl Darlow to give Tottenham the advantage.

However, Spurs’ lead did not last long. Guglielmo Vicario’s poor handling of a shot from Brenden Aaronson saw the goalkeeper parry the ball straight into the path of Noah Okafor, who reacted quickest to draw Leeds level.

Thomas Frank’s stance on Guglielmo Vicario at Tottenham revealed

These sorts of errors from the Italian have become worryingly familiar this season, with a similar mistake made in Tottenham’s previous outing against Wolves.

TBR Football has now revealed that Thomas Frank currently has no plans to replace Guglielmo Vicario, despite the Italian’s recent mistakes at the back.

Speaking about the goalkeeper situation, journalist Graeme Bailey told TBR Football that the issue is not viewed as a major concern within the club.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Bailey said: “Vicario has taken criticism from the fanbase, but it is not seen as an area of huge worry – that is not to say Spurs aren’t keeping abreast of goalkeeping options, but he really isn’t seen as a major weak link at this point. Like with every position, they will continue to assess, but it is not a concern for them.”

Tottenham fans split on Guglielmo Vicario’s form

While Thomas Frank appears determined to stand by his No.1, a growing section of the Tottenham fanbase have voiced frustration and are calling for a change between the posts.

Spurs do have Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky as a backup option, with the 22-year-old having made just one senior appearance this season in the Carabao Cup, where he kept a clean sheet.

Tottenham’s Djed Spence names Barcelona star Lamine Yamal as dream opponent - Spurs Web
Description

Djed Spence fancies himself against any winger in the world, but the Tottenham star would love to test himself against one player in particular.

Djed Spence has been one Tottenham Hotspur player in fine form this season, with the full-back producing assured and complete displays on both flanks.

While he is yet to register an assist, Spence has made a habit of locking down wingers he has come up against this campaign, showing real defensive composure and athleticism in one-on-one duels.

The ‘Djed Spence penitentiary’ has even become a popular phrase, as the defender often takes a playful dig at opponents after coming out on top, welcoming them into what has now become his symbolic fortress.

Tottenham’s Djed Spence reveals dream opponent Lamine Yamal

Spence is clearly playing with real confidence at the moment, and he recently revealed the wide forward he would love to face in the future.

Speaking to TNT Sports alongside Peter Crouch, Spence was asked if any winger has given him a tough time so far this season, to which he simply replied, “No.”

When pressed further about a winger he would love to face one day, the full-back said: “Lamine Yamal is a top player. You saw yesterday [against PSG] in the first two minutes, what he done was crazy. So yes, that is a player I would love to play against. If it happens one day, I guess we will see who comes out on top.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

Why Spence would relish a battle with Yamal

Lamine Yamal is a brilliant winger, one of the best around when it comes to beating his man and carrying the ball with pace and confidence, much like Mohammed Kudus so far this season.

Kudus is currently the best in the Premier League when it comes to successful dribbles and take-ons, and Spence trains against him regularly.

The England international will undoubtedly continue to refine his defensive craft, facing Kudus in training, and it is no surprise that his performances on the pitch now reflect that confidence and growth.
