Description

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been given fresh reason to revisit a familiar name in Troy Parrott, with renewed transfer talk emerging.

Tottenham Hotspur could certainly do with a prolific goalscorer, one who guarantees 20-plus goals in a league season.

Since the departure of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, no player has reached that mark in the Premier League for Tottenham, and it is no surprise that they have struggled.

Dominic Solanke, who was brought in to replace Kane, has not lived up to expectations since joining the Lilywhites, with injuries often hindering his performances over the course of a season.

Tottenham transfer talk: Troy Parrott return rumours gather pace

We reported earlier this week that Spurs could return for former academy product Troy Parrott, who is enjoying a stellar campaign.

The Irishman has recorded 47 goal involvements, a tally that leaves him with the fifth-most goals of any player across the top 15 leagues in Europe.

Spurs also hold a 20 per cent sell-on clause from Parrott’s transfer and could bring him back at a reduced cost should they pursue a deal.

MORE SPURS STORIES

His form has caught the attention of supporters, who are now calling for the club to bring him back to north London. A message the AZ forward posted before leaving the club in 2024 has resurfaced on social media, as fans reflect on his connection to Tottenham.

He said: “After an amazing seven years full of memories and experiences, it is time for me to take the next step in my career. I wanted to come on here to express my gratitude to the incredible players and staff members I have worked with — I have made friends for life.

“Finally, a massive thank you to the fans who have supported me and continue to do so throughout my journey. Spurs will always be in my heart.”

Spurs transfer stance: Troy Parrott price and competition explained

Spurs could yet make a move for the forward, with reports suggesting Troy Parrott is keen on a return to north London regardless of the division they find themselves next season.

That is a clear positive for Tottenham, who are in need of a player with Parrott’s goalscoring output.

He is expected to be available for around £18.3 million (€22 million), which would represent a bargain this summer, although there is competition for his signature. If he moves elsewhere, Tottenham will at least get 20% of the fee, but fans would likely much rather see him back in a Spurs shirt.

Description

The race for Randal Kolo Muani is heating up as the striker’s loan spell at Tottenham is nearing its end, but he could stay in the Premier League.

The French striker has not had the kind of impact he would have hoped for in North London since his loan move last summer, having scored just once in 25 Premier League outings for the Lilywhites.

Reports indicate that Kolo Muani has long believed that he will not remain at Tottenham beyond the end of his loan spell this season.

It has been reported over the last few weeks that Juventus have already started work to sign Kolo Muani from PSG this summer, but they have now been joined in the race by a Premier League side.

Liverpool want to sign on-loan Tottenham striker Randal Kolo Muani

TuttoJuve have now said that the 27-year-old’s time in London is about to come to an end this summer and that the striker will have to find a new club as he is not in PSG’s plans.

The report backs up Juve’s interest in Kolo Muani but reveals that the Serie A club has not been joined in the race by Liverpool.

The outlet claims that Arne Slot wants to sign a versatile striker to fill the void left by Hugo Ekitike’s injury absence, and he has recommended the Frenchman’s name to the Reds hierarchy.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Kolo Muani is seen as being perfectly suited to Slot’s system, due to his ability to play across the front three and take advantage of open spaces.

Juvenuts continue to eye Kolo Muani as PSG reveal asking price

TuttoJuve say that Liverpool’s entrance into the race has not put off Juve, who ‘remain on the sidelines’ to land the former Eintracht Frankfurt man.

The outlet reveals that the Bianconeri are intent on reuniting with Kolo Muani, for whom PSG are expected to demand around €40m (£35m) this summer.

Tottenham could have a strange Thomas Frank reunion in the Championship next season - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur may run into Thomas Frank next season if Roberto De Zerbi fails to keep the club in the Premier League.

Frank lasted just eight months in the Tottenham hot seat after joining from Brentford last June, with the Dane leaving the Lilywhites close to the relegation zone when he was eventually sacked in February.

A big section of the Tottenham fan base never got on board with his style of play, and many supporters even felt that Spurs should have sacked Frank a lot earlier

Frank has already been linked with an early return to management, and it has now been revealed that the 52-year-old is on the radar of a Championship side.

Former Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is a target for Birmingham City

Football League World have now revealed that Birmingham City are now eyeing a managerial change after an underwhelming showing in the Championship.

The Blues, who are languishing in 14th place in the Championship, currently have former Spurs assistant coach Chris Davies at the helm.

However, the Birmingham owners are considering parting ways with Davies after a poor campaign and want to attract Frank to the club.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Championship side is ready to make some ambitious moves as they attempt to push for promotion next season, and they have thus set their sights on the former Tottenham boss, given his vast experience at the highest level.

If Frank does agree to join the Midlands club, Spurs may find themselves locking horns against the Dane in the Championship next term if Roberto De Zerbi does not manage to guide the Lilywhites to safety.

Birmingham will not find it easy to attract Frank

Football League World make it clear that attracting the former Tottenham and Brentford boss to St Andrews will not be easy for the Blues.

Although the Birmingham owners possess great financial resources and have some big ambitions, it is unclear if Frank is open to dropping down to the second tier.

Tottenham player tells his agent to find him a new club, ‘unhappy with his status’ at Spurs - Spurs Web
Description

A senior Tottenham Hotspur star is extremely frustrated with his lack of opportunities and has told his agent to find him a new club this summer.

There are expected to be plenty of changes to the Spurs squad this summer, even if the Lilywhites remain in the Premier League.

Reports have indicated that Tottenham have already decided to cash in on four of their senior men this summer, as they look to rebuild the squad ahead of Roberto De Zerbi’s first full season in charge.

It has now been revealed that a 24-year-old Spurs star, who was linked with an exit from N17 in January, has decided that this will be his final campaign at the club.

Radu Dragusin has informed his agent if Tottenahm’s exit desire

Radu Dragusin was heavily linked with a move to Serie A during the January window, but the defender stayed put at N17.

It has now been reported by SpotMedia that the centre-back has lost his patience at Tottenham, having not started a league game since March 15th.

Dragusin has informed his agent, Florin Manea, to find him a new club at the end of the season as he is ‘unhappy with his status’ at Spurs.

MORE SPURS STORIES

In fact, it is asserted that the defender’s entourage has already begun talks with clubs in Italy and Germany over a summer transfer.

What is Spurs’ stance on Dragusin?

SpotMedia assert that Tottenham are ready to part ways with Dragusin at the end of the season as the interest in his services grows.

The Lilywhites feel that the Romanian has not made the desired impact since his move from Girona and are ready to evaluate a sale this summer.

The outlet does not say how much Tottenham want for the centre-back, but it was reported in the January window that Spurs valued Dragusin at £22m.

Savinho transfer update as Tottenham lurk: Could Spurs finally sign the Man City starlet? - Spurs Web
Description

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has made a revelation about the race for Tottenham target Savinho as the winger struggles for game time at Manchester City.

Tottenham were reportedly willing to pay around £70m for Savinho last summer, but their efforts fell through as Man City decided against sanctioning a sale.

Spurs rekindled their interest in the Brazilian winger in January, but their pursuit once again proved unsuccessful.

It was reported back in March that Tottenham may finally get the chance to land the 21-year-old this summer, as his future at the Etihad Stadium is in doubt.

Pep Guardiola could once again block Savinho’s move to Tottenham

The former Girona man has struggled for starts at the Etihad Stadium this term and has flattered to deceive when opportunities have come his way.

However, journalist Pete O’Rourke has now revealed that Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Savinho, and he could once again block any attempt to sell the winger, just as he did a year ago.

O’Rourke told Football Insider: “It was Pep Guardiola who really fought to keep him (last summer) and urged the club to keep hold of him. He was rewarded with a new contract just last October that runs until 2031. We know how hard it is to break into City’s star-studded starting eleven.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“It’s obvious that Guardiola is a big fan of him, and I don’t think he will be rushing him out the door because he knows that Man City will have so many games to play next season, so they’ll need a lot of depth and strength in that squad.

“I’m sure there are numerous clubs keeping tabs on Savinho’s situation hoping that the lure of a regular first team football could be enough to prise him away from City.”

Is Savinho still a target for Spurs after Roberto de Zerbi’s arrival?

There is no doubt that Tottenham Hotspur need to strengthen out wide, having failed to replace Brennan Johnson in January.

However, it was widely reported last summer that Thomas Frank was the one pushing Spurs to land Savinho, with the Danish coach said to be ‘in love’ with the Man City man.

Besiktas raise Orkun Kokcu price after Tottenham and Man United show interest - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham and Man United have found out that they will have to spend big to land one of their midfield targets this summer.

With the likes of Joao Palhinha and Yves Bissouma not expected to be at Spurs next season, one would expect the Lilywhites to add reinforcements to their midfield this summer.

It has been claimed that Roberto De Zerbi has already had conversations regarding midfield targets with the Tottenham hierarchy, even though the club are still not assured of their Premier League status next season.

A Turkish international, who has been turning a lot of heads with his performances over the last few months, is on the North London club’s wishlist, but they have to break the bank to land the player.

Besiktas increase their asking price for Tottenham target Orkun Kokcu

It has been reported over recent weeks that Spurs have sent scouts to Turkey to watch Orkun Kokcu this season ahead of a potential summer move for the midfielder.

The 25-year-old has been Besiktas’ best player over recent months, and has eight goals and nine assists in 35 outings across all competitions this season.

A report in Turkish Football has now confirmed that Kokcu’s performances have piqued the interest of both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

MORE SPURS STORIES

It is revealed that Besiktas are aware that the Lilywhites and Red Devils hold an interest in their star man, and they have decided to increase his asking price.

While the Turkish club initially wanted €50m (£43.5m) for Kokcu, they have now made it clear that they will only let the midfielder leave for €60m (£52.2m).

What is Kokcu’s stance on his future?

Turkish Football explains that Kokcu could have a key role to play for Turkey in the World Cup, which is why Besiktas believes they can demand £52m for their player after the tournament in North America.

The 25-year-old is ‘deeply committed’ to Besiktas and wants to win a Super Lig title before moving on, and he has already turned down lucrative offers to remain with the club.

However, the report adds that the former Feyenoord man is open to leaving the Istanbul club for one of ‘Europe’s top-tier giants’.

Supercomputer updates Tottenham’s relegation odds after West Ham fail to beat Palace - Spurs Web
Description

Opta’s Supercomputer has revised its prediction on Tottenham’s survival odds after West Ham United picked up another crucial point away at Selhurst Park.

Spurs Web has been closely tracking Opta’s predictions over recent weeks as the Lilywhites find themselves flirting with disaster.

Spurs have now spent the last week and a half in the bottom three, and Brighton’s late equaliser at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last Saturday came as a bitter blow to their survival chances.

Following the draw with Brighton, Opta gave Spurs a 54.22 per cent chance of being relegated from the Premier League this season, and that has now increased after Monday’s result.

What is Tottenham’s likelihood of relegation after West Ham’s latest draw?

Opta’s Supercomputer has revised its numbers after the Hammers were held to a 0-0 draw by Crystal Palace in South London on Monday night.

The data analysis platform expects the Lilywhites to now finish with an expected 36.88 points from their 38 matches, which is not expected to be enough to keep them up.

According to their revised numbers, Tottenham’s chances of relegation have now shot up to 58.33 per cent, while West Ham’s chances of going down have dropped to just 36.9 per cent.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest’s chances of relegation now stand at just 4.3 per cent, while Leeds have been given a 0.3 per cent chance of going down.

The game against Wolves is now a must-win for Spurs

De Zerbi remains confident that Tottenham can stay up, with the Italian taking plenty of positives from his side’s performance against the Seagulls.

However, with West Ham continuing to pick up points, Spurs desperately need a win against Wolves in order to keep pace with their London rivals.

The one piece of good news for the Lilywhites is that Wolves are now officially relegated following the Hammers’ draw at Palace, which means that they have nothing to play for on Saturday.

Tottenham are finally represented in the Premier League Team of the Week again

Tottenham are finally represented in the Premier League Team of the Week again - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur finally saw one of their key attacking players deliver when it mattered, and the performance has not gone unnoticed.

There is no denying that Tottenham Hotspur’s Xavi Simons was the star of the show for the Lilywhites in their last encounter with Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Dutchman finally delivered a performance worthy of the hefty £55 million fee Spurs paid in the summer, pulling the strings in attack and registering a goal and an assist in a display he will hope silences his critics.

Simons had received plenty of stick this season for his poor form from Dutch legends, including Rafael van der Vaart, who believes that he has not been playing to his full potential.

Those concerns were also echoed by new head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who challenged Simons to add more goals and assists to his game ahead of the Brighton clash, following the midfielder’s return of just one goal in 26 appearances.

Tottenham star Xavi Simons earns Premier League Team of the Week spot

Simons responded positively to his manager’s call, delivering his best Premier League performance of the season, assisting Pedro Porro’s opener before scoring what looked set to be the winner, only for Georginio Rutter’s equaliser to ensure the spoils were shared.

The Dutchman’s effort has now received further recognition, with Troy Deeney including him in his Gameweek 33 Team of the Week.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Deeney addressed Simons’ performance, while also touching on his celebration and Tottenham’s struggles.

“I did not like the celebration when he scored against Brighton – I thought it was a bit too much, a bit Instagrammy. But Spurs have been poor of late and his quality and the X-factor he showed with the assist and goal could be how they stay up.

“I do not think they will stay up – I am really worried for them, but they need him to have five more games like that and that will give them the best chance. Maybe if the defenders started to defend they would have won the game instead of drawing it.”

Xavi Simons form gives Spurs survival hope

Tottenham will certainly be pleased to see Simons hit form at this stage of the season, with their fight for survival heating up.

West Ham United drew with Crystal Palace, a result that bodes well for Tottenham, who can move out of the relegation places with a victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers next gameweek.

This scenario, however, remains dependent on the Hammers losing their own game or potentially drawing, given the superior goal difference Spurs possess

For sure, if Simons can turn up with a similar display, he could well be the talismanic figure who bails Spurs out of what has been an abysmal season.

The Tottenham XI we are desperate to see against Wolves, Bentancur and Bissouma remain

The Tottenham XI we are desperate to see against Wolves, Bentancur and Bissouma remain - Spurs Web
Description

Following a frustrating 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion, Tottenham Hotspur must now find a way to turn their improved performance into three points as they prepare for a trip to Molineux. If De Zerbi can get his starting XI right, Spurs could well be on course for a win, and we have identified the Tottenham line-up we want to see against Wolves.

Pedro Porro made it clear, following the stalemate, that Spurs cannot afford to dwell too much on missed opportunities.

The focus must now turn to their next Premier League outing, where they take on a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who are also struggling for consistency.

Both sides head into the clash in poor form, with Wolves winless in their last three outings. Tottenham are also enduring a difficult period and remain winless in their last 15 attempts in 2026, making this fixture a crucial moment for the campaign.

Despite the late heartbreak of a Georginio Rutter equaliser, the draw against Brighton should serve as a confidence booster for the Lilywhites, who looked much better in that game than they have all year.

If the men under Roberto De Zerbi can replicate a similar level of performance, they could well be on course to secure their first win of the calendar year and keep their survival hopes alive.

Team selection will play a vital role in the outcome of this fixture, and we have now named the Tottenham XI we are desperate to see against Wolves.

Tottenham face Wolves test as De Zerbi weighs up lineup decision

There is no denying that De Zerbi got a lot of things right regarding his tactical setup against Brighton.

Tottenham looked like a much better team from defence to attack as they pressed as a unit, and there was plenty of interesting combination play on display, especially down the left flank.

We believe that if De Zerbi can keep five top performers from the Brighton game in the side for the Wolves trip, Spurs could walk away with all three points.

This forms the basis for the lineup we want to see next weekend, where we simply want to see the back four remain unchanged despite the mistake made by Kevin Danso.

While there is a possibility of Guglielmo Vicario returning to the starting lineup, we would rather Spurs stick with Antonin Kinsky, who has barely put a foot wrong.

Ahead of him, a back four of Porro, Danso, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie should remain. Udogie has been immense on the left and linked up well with Dominic Solanke and Simons, so it only makes sense for that partnership to develop.

Mathys Tel and Conor Gallagher must start for Spurs against Wolves

Midfield is where De Zerbi might be tempted to change things, but at the moment, we do not see the need for him to do so.

Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur and Conor Gallagher all worked well against Brighton, and we want to see them continue in the centre of the pitch for Tottenham.

It is a move away from the youthful exuberance we have been used to seeing since the turn of the year, but there is no denying that the more experienced players improved the display in the middle of the park.

Bissouma’s ball-winning capabilities alongside the composure of Bentancur were crucial in the last outing, and long may that continue.

Gallagher probably had his best game in a Spurs shirt in a more advanced role, bringing some much-needed energy to the attack, where he also helped with the pressing.

In the front line, we would love to see Simons keep his place in the side, where he is given the license to roam and create. That freedom saw the 22-year-old grab a goal and an assist against the Seagulls and hopefully he continues to build on that momentum.

Solanke did not grab a goal last time out, but his display was much better than what we saw against Sunderland. He is getting into a fine rhythm, and his hold-up play is currently better than anything else Spurs have at the moment.

Alongside him, however, we expect to see a change with Randal Kolo Muani being dropped for Mathys Tel.

The Parisian forward has barely had an impact on the attack and we believe that after two sub-par displays, Muani should be dropped for Tel, who should bring a new dimension with his directness and dribbling.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s fight for survival has taken another twist, with Nottingham Forest’s 4-1 win over Burnley piling pressure on their final run of fixtures, and we have now compared Spurs’ Premier League run-in with their relegation rivals.

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion was not enough to see them leapfrog out of the bottom three this gameweek, despite having played a game more than West Ham United, who play tonight.

A victory in the Hammers’ clash against Crystal Palace will see Spurs go four points adrift of safety with just five games to go.

However, safety is still very much possible for Tottenham, who must secure at least nine more points from their final 15, with such a feat more or less guaranteeing their survival.

Still, it is not entirely in Tottenham’s hands, as they will need their relegation rivals, Nottingham Forest and West Ham, to drop more points than them in the Premier League run-in.

Unfortunately for Spurs, in the last two weeks, Forest have managed to pick up more points than they have, drawing when Tottenham lost last weekend and winning this weekend when Spurs drew.

Forest’s win against Burnley has now seen their chances of getting relegated drop significantly as they push to stay safe.
