Tottenham are eyeing yet another young talent, as the club’s recruitment team continues to identify emerging prospects with long-term potential.

Tottenham Hotspur have not been shy in dipping into the pool of promising youngsters, having secured a few impressive signings in recent transfer windows.

Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray are starting to come of age for the club, gradually establishing themselves as regular features in Thomas Frank’s setup.

Reports now suggest that Tottenham are looking to add one more youngster to their ranks in the near future, with scouts once again active across Europe.

Tottenham enquire about Nigerian winger Sani Suleiman

TEAMtalk reports that Tottenham have made initial enquiries regarding Nigerian youngster Sani Suleiman, who caught the eye at the U-20 World Cup with a string of impressive performances.

The club are understood to have gathered information on his contract situation and potential availability for future transfer windows.

The 19-year-old left winger, who currently plays for Slovakian side AS Trencin, has been praised for his pace, creativity, and ability to influence matches at crucial moments.

MORE SPURS STORIES

It is understood that scouts from several major European clubs were present to watch the teenager in action at the tournament, with Tottenham among those monitoring his progress closely.

Spurs face competition for Sani Suleiman

Thomas Frank’s side is not alone in their interest. Bayer Leverkusen, Rangers, and other top English sides, alongside several clubs across Europe’s top five leagues, are also keeping tabs on the talented winger’s development.

But, for now, Suleiman is said to be fully focused on his return to AS Trencin, determined to continue improving and justify the growing attention surrounding his name.

Tottenham could do with another natural left winger and has also been linked with Brentford’s Kevin Schade, who many Spurs fans have described as a baller.

Description

Tottenham, Aston Villa and Liverpool are among several Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on a young French defender, as interest grows in one of Ligue 1’s most promising teenagers.

France has long been regarded as one of the best breeding grounds for young talent, and Tottenham Hotspur already boast a few emerging names from the country.

Spurs have made it a habit of investing in youth in recent transfer windows. However, last summer hinted at a slight shift in recruitment strategy, with most of Tottenham’s budget spent on experienced players instead of youngsters.

Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel are both highly rated French Under-21 internationals, but Tottenham are now believed to be monitoring another standout talent developing in Ligue 1.

Tottenham among Premier League clubs scouting Nantes defender Tylel Tati

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs to have sent scouts to monitor 17-year-old Nantes centre-back Tylel Tati.

Tati, who has already made six senior appearances for Nantes this season, is described as a talent “rarely seen” at his age, showcasing maturity and technical composure beyond his years.

It is understood that Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Brighton, Brentford, and Aston Villa have all dispatched scouts to watch him, while European sides such as Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen, and RB Leipzig are also keeping a close eye on his progress.

Tylel Tati development could dictate Tottenham’s transfer interest

While scouts have begun to take note, it is believed that Nantes are taking a careful approach with Tati’s development, prioritising game time and positional flexibility before considering any major offers.

Tati’s versatility allows him to operate not only at centre-back but also at left-back or in a defensive midfield role, providing his coaches with tactical variety.

Capable of breaking up play and carrying possession through tight areas, the youngster’s style has naturally drawn attention, though a move at this stage appears unlikely.

It is understood that any future transfer battle for his signature will depend heavily on Nantes’ developmental plan and which club can present the clearest route to first-team football.

Tottenham told they can sign a better striker than Harry Kane for just £25m - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham have been told that one of their current striker targets is even better than club legend Harry Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur have recently been linked with a potential move for Harry Kane, with reports suggesting the club could explore the idea of bringing him back to north London.

The forward has two years left on his Bayern Munich contract and has continued his fine goalscoring form in Germany, finding the net 18 times across all competitions this season.

While the notion of a Kane reunion might sound far-fetched, financially, it may not be entirely unrealistic. The England captain could be available for a fee below the £60 million mark, which is notably less than what Bayern Munich paid for him three years ago.

David Trezeguet ranks Dusan Vlahovic above Harry Kane

David Trezeguet, a Juventus legend and former France international, was recently asked by La Gazzetta dello Sport to rank ten of the world’s best strikers in order of quality, and interestingly, he had Kane pretty low on his list.

The former Juventus man unsurprisingly placed Lionel Messi at the top of his list, followed by Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in second and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe in third.

However, further down the order, Trezeguet placed Harry Kane ninth, with Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez in eighth and Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic – a reported £25m Tottenham target – in seventh.

Tottenham’s striker search and how Dusan Vlahovic compares to Harry Kane

Tottenham have been repeatedly linked with several forwards in recent months, and Dusan Vlahovic remains firmly on their radar, according to multiple reports.

The Serbian international is a traditional centre-forward with an instinctive eye for goal, though his numbers do not yet measure up to the standards set by Harry Kane during his time in north London.

Kane remains Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer with 280 goals in all competitions for the Lilywhites, and he has already surpassed the 100-goal mark at Bayern Munich.

Vlahovic, by contrast, has recorded 134 goals in 310 appearances – a solid return, but nowhere near the prolific consistency of the former Spurs talisman.

Description

Tottenham may have lifted a long-awaited trophy last season, but one former player has admitted he left the club too soon, revealing he should have waited for a managerial change instead.

Every footballer dreams of lifting a trophy during their career, and several Tottenham Hotspur players achieved that milestone last season, as Ange Postecoglou led Spurs to Europa League glory.

However, following that success, a few players moved on, with Heung-min Son’s departure standing out as the most emotional of them all, marking the perfect ending to his remarkable stint in North London.

Tottenham’s last major triumph before that came in 2008 when they lifted the League Cup, yet Paul Robinson has now confessed that he regrets leaving the club shortly after that victory to join Blackburn Rovers.

Paul Robinson opens up on Tottenham regret

Speaking on the An Echo Of Glory podcast, the former Spurs goalkeeper admitted that he acted too hastily when deciding to leave Tottenham for Blackburn in July 2008.

Revealing how his relationship with then-manager Juande Ramos deteriorated, Robinson said he should have waited for the Spaniard to be sacked instead of rushing out the door.

He explained, via An Echo Of Glory: “That is why I left. Me and him (Juande Ramos) did not see eye to eye at all. With hindsight, I should have stayed and outlasted him, but sometimes you cannot see the wood for the trees. You know, we just won the Carling Cup, as it was the League Cup at the time.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“But I knew even playing that final that I was leaving at the end of the season because he did not want me around and I was not going to play. At that point, he had taken me in and out of the team.

“The man management and the way he handled that situation, I wanted to get out. I wanted a fresh start and I needed to play. But Juande Ramos left, obviously, and like I say, hindsight, you look back, could have probably seen that coming.

“And then Harry (Redknapp) came in, a manager that I would have probably loved to have played for, but I could not see past the end of the next week and I wanted to play every week. And with Juande Ramos, I was not going to be there. He was never the right fit for Tottenham.”

Spurs aiming to build on new era of success

Footballers naturally crave consistent minutes, and no one can truly fault Robinson’s desire to play regularly. His decision made sense at the time, even if hindsight offers a different perspective.

Spurs, however, failed to build on their 2008 success, enduring a long 17-year wait before finally securing another piece of silverware in 2025.

Description

Tottenham have started the new campaign with real intent, but it is one £55m signing who continues to turn heads, and Jermaine Pennant cannot believe Liverpool did not make a move for him.

Tottenham Hotspur have made an impressive start to the 2025/26 season under Thomas Frank, with the club currently sitting in the top three of the Premier League table.

Several players have caught the eye under Frank, but it is Mohammed Kudus – described by Jermain Defoe as the main man at Tottenham – who continues to stand out.

The Ghana international has already scored once and provided four assists in the league, and if he keeps up this level of form, he could surpass his performance from last season.

Jermaine Pennant says he wanted Liverpool to beat Tottenham to Mohammed Kudus

Tottenham paid West Ham United £55 million to land Mohammed Kudus, and given the winger’s impact since joining, that figure is beginning to look like a bargain.

Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant has now admitted that he would have liked to see Kudus playing in red instead.

Speaking on the Wildcards Podcast, Pennant revealed that he was a huge admirer of the Tottenham forward’s style and mentality.

MORE SPURS STORIES

He said he wanted Liverpool to make a move when Kudus was still at West Ham, adding: “Kudus. I wanted Kudus when he played at Liverpool with West Ham and there were rumours about Kudus and other teams.

“That’s like he’s strong, he’s quick, he’s effective, works hard, work rate back as well,” Pennant said.

Kudus proving to be the difference-maker for Spurs

Kudus is a maverick who can quite literally change games with his dribbling, flair and creativity.

A move to Liverpool would likely have seen him play second fiddle to Mohamed Salah, who by his own high standards has made a slow start to the season.

At Tottenham, however, Kudus looks every bit like the main man in Thomas Frank’s system. He has adapted quickly to the Dane’s methods and has more or less made the right wing position his own.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing a move for a highly-rated England international, and a journalist has revealed whether the player is keen on a January transfer.

Some pundits have backed the Joao Palhinha-Rodrigo Bentancur partnership to develop into a formidable one for Tottenham, while Pape Sarr has also made an impressive start to the season.

However, with Yves Bissouma appearing to have no way back at Spurs, and the Lilywhites are thought to be eyeing one of the most highly-rated number sixes across the Premier League.

According to reports, Tottenham reached out to Palace over Adam Wharton late in the final days of the summer window, but Oliver Glasner’s men made it clear that their star man is not for sale.

What Tottenham target Adam Wharton is thinking about his future

Spurs have been urged to go back in for Wharton in January, and the Lilywhites may have the financial muscle to push through a deal. This is because ENIC have now injected equity of £100m into the club.

However, journalist Pete O’Rourke has said that Wharton will not be particularly keen on leaving Selhurst Park in January, while the Eagles are under no pressure to sell.

When asked about the England international’s future, O’Rourke told Football Insider: “Obviously, he’s got just under four years left on his deal at Selhurst Park right now until 2029.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“It doesn’t seem he’s in any real massive rush to leave Palace right now, he’s enjoying his football and playing week in, week out in the Premier League.

“He has become a key man in Glasner’s side with Palace doing so well at the moment, having won the FA Cup last year and playing in Europe. It seems Wharton is happy with life at Selhurst Park, but his form and performances will attract interest from other clubs.”

Spurs will face plenty of competition from Wharton

O’Rourke confirmed that Spurs are fans of the former Blackburn star, but he made it clear that the Lilywhites will have plenty of competition for the midfielder.

He named four others of the ‘big six’ and Real Madrid as clubs who are keeping a keen eye on Wharton’s situation.

Tottenham receive good news and bad news in the race to sign Marc Guehi - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have received some good news and some bad news in their pursuit of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.

Spurs Web has relayed several reports over recent weeks suggesting that Tottenham want to add a top-class defender to their squad in January.

Over recent days, some sources have claimed that Tottenham have moved to the front of the queue to land Marc Guehi following the Crystal Palace man’s failed move to Liverpool on transfer deadline day in the summer.

Spurs have no shortage of competition in the race for Guehi, and a new update has now provided the latest on how the 25-year-old’s future is shaping up.

Liverpool do not have an advantage over Tottenham in Marc Guehi race

A new report from TRB Football says that even though the Reds were close to landing the centre-back in the summer, they are not the front-runners for the player in January.

The outlet claims that Arne Slot’s men are not further ahead of others in the chase for Guehi, with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Manchester United ready to launch offers for the defender.

However, the update also adds that the centre-back is attracting plenty of interest from Europe and asserts that there is a ‘good chance’ that Guehi ends up leaving the Premier League in the upcoming transfer window.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The report also quotes transfer market expert, Graeme Bailey, as saying that the England man is emerging as one of the most in-demand players across Europe.

Harry Kane may stop Spurs from landing Guehi

Over recent days, several publications have claimed that Bayern Munich have also entered the race to sign Guehi.

Additionally, it has been claimed by a few reporters that Harry Kane himself has recommended the signing of Guehi to the Bayern hierarchy.

Ironically, the Tottenham legend may thus put the final nail in the coffin of Spurs’ attempts to get a deal for the Eagles star over the line.

Tottenham tipped to battle Chelsea and Newcastle for £86m star striker

Tottenham tipped to battle Chelsea and Newcastle for £86m star striker - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are turning their attention to a prolific Spanish centre-forward, but they are not the only Premier League club interested in the player.

Thomas Frank has struggled for options upfront this season, with Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani being sidelined, while Richarlison is yet to convince everyone that he is the answer for Spurs.

As a result, it appears that Tottenham Hotspur are now turning their attention to a number nine, who has found the back of the net five times since the start of the season.

Over recent days, some outlets have said that Spurs have been extremely impressed with Porto striker Samu Aghehowa and are plotting a move for him in the January window.

Tottenham may face competition for Samu Aghehowa

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has now confirmed that the Spain international is indeed on Tottenham’s radar, but he revealed that the Lilywhites would have to meet his £86m release clause to sign him.

Additionally, he asserted that both Newcastle United and Chelsea have tried to sign the 21-year-old in the past.

O’Rourke told Football Insider: “I’m sure he’s [Aghehowa] somebody who’s maybe on the list of Tottenham and other clubs in the Premier League. Chelsea came very close to signing him a couple of transfer windows ago before the player decided to stay.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Then Newcastle had him on their list in the summer window as they looked at potential replacements for Alexander Isak before signing Nick Woltemade. So I think he’s a top young player, 21 years old, Spain international. It’s no surprise that Tottenham and all these other big clubs in the Premier League are looking at him.

“He’s a player with huge potential and could really develop into one of the best strikers in Europe, if he continues his rise. I think that’s why these Premier League clubs are looking at him. He has got a release clause in his contract at Porto of around £86million, which is a big price tag on his head.

“But, I think if he continues what he’s doing right now and develops as a player and fulfils his potential, that could be a decent fee for somebody who wants to take him. [For] Tottenham, again, the number nine is coming a bit of an issue for them in some respects. Solanke’s had his injury problems so far this season.

“Then Richarlison has obviously slotted in and done quite well there, but there’s been ongoing speculation in regards to his future. Porto will be doing well to hang on to him [Aghehowa] in the next couple of transfer windows because I’m sure that interest will remain.”

Spurs could use cash injection to secure Aghehowa

TEAMtalk relay this information by O’Rourke and confirm that their own sources have also backed up Tottenham’s interest in the Porto star.

The outlet suggests that the Lilywhites could use the £100m cash injection from ENIC towards landing the former Atletico Madrid star.

The publication adds that the North London club see Aghehowa as a player who can give Thomas Frank’s team ‘a clinical edge’ and aid their attempts to get into the top four.

Description

Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall has made an interesting statement after missing an open goal for Sweden in a World Cup qualifier, and his teammates have come to his support.

Despite becoming a key player for Spurs, a 19-year-old midfielder had to wait almost a year between his international appearances.

Calls were growing increasingly louder in Sweden for Lucas Bergvall to be handed an opportunity, and that chance finally came on Friday on the international stage for the youngster.

The attacking midfielder was handed a start in the World Cup qualifier against Switzerland in Stockholm, but it was an outing to forget as the away side emerged with a 2-0 win.

Tottenham youngster Lucas Bergvall reacts after missing an open goal

Before the Swiss scored their two goals, the Spurs teenager had a huge opportunity to put the home side 1-0 up in the first half.

After Alexander Isak found him in the box, all Bergvall had to do was tap the ball into an empty net, but he got the ball caught under his feet and lost his bearings, allowing Ricardo Rodriguez to boot it clear.

It was a moment that the Spurs man would not want to watch again, and he admitted after the game that he is his own biggest critic.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking about his missed chance, Bergvall told Aftonbladet (as relayed by Sport Witness): “I misjudged the ball. Of course, I’m going to score there. I don’t know what else to say. Sometimes it bounces right, sometimes wrong.

When asked if it was his worst-ever miss, the midfielder responded: “Yes, probably. I can’t think of anything else right now. It’s an absolute disappointment. I don’t think they (the fans) need to say too much about it, I know I’ll do better.”

Bergvall’s international teammates leap to his defence

While the Tottenham man may have been the villain on the night for the home crowd, many of his teammates came out and defended him following the game.

Liverpool star Alexander Isak said about Bergvall: “He is a very all-round player, who has almost all the qualities you need. He has had a great autumn at Tottenham. We have to help each other to get the most out of each other.

Experienced wide-man Ken Sem said: “It’s clear that it’s an opportunity, but he will learn. He is extremely talented, and you can see the heights he has.

“Then it’s clear that it’s a bit unlucky that he misses, it’s perhaps one of those chances you usually score on. You’re there to support him, but I think he knows exactly what he needs to improve on in the future.”

Finally, Roony Bardghji shared about the Tottenham youngster: “I told him at half-time to forget about it. I can imagine he’s a bit down, and it’s tough, but that’s football. That’s what happens. It’s nothing that will affect him.”

Hamburg sporting director Claus Costa has opened the door for an interesting Luka Vuskovic agreement with Tottenham after the centre-back’s exemplary start to the season.

Less than two months into his loan spell at HSV, the Croat has already established himself as a key player for the side.

Vuskovic’s Hamburg teammates have been raving about his impact, and it is not hard to understand why.

The Tottenham loanee is leading the Bundesliga in several key defensive metrics, showing already that he is among the best in German football at the tender age of 18.

Hamburg open door for Luka Vuskovic agreement with Tottenham

In light of the defender’s recent displays, there have been suggestions that Spurs could recall Vuskovic prematurely to boost Thomas Frank’s options at centre-back.

Not only is HSV director Claus Costa convinced that a recall is not going to happen, but he has now indicated that the German club would be open to extending the teenager’s stay beyond the end of this season.

Speaking to Transfermarkt.de, Costa said: “The Vuskovic issue has been with us throughout the summer. We always had the clear intention of signing him – and he committed to us relatively early on.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“We didn’t want to take Luka away from Tottenham Hotspur and instead wanted to create a win-win-win situation. We’re helping Tottenham, Luka is helping us, and we’re all helping him. He’s playing very convincingly, has a great charisma, and gives us a lot. We’re happy to have him.”

When asked about defender staying put at Hamburg beyond this season, the Bundesliga club’s director responded: “It’s only October, so much can still happen between now and May; there are many variables. As of now, there’s no contractual option. Based on what we’ve seen so far, we’d like to keep him longer – definitely.

“We certainly wouldn’t mind. The question is how we’ll get there, what Tottenham’s plan is, and how Luka’s season is going. But that’s a crystal ball gazing exercise and impossible to assess as of today.”

Vuskovic has not ruled out Hamburg stay beyond next summer

People associated with Tottenham expect big things from Vuskovic, and Spurs fans are excited about the possibility of having the youngster back next summer, equipped with a year of Bundesliga football under his belt.

However, the defender has already become a fan favourite in the north of Germany, and it appears that he is loving his time at the club.
