Description

The Independent’s Miguel Delaney has revealed that Eberechi Eze’s future is not settled just yet, and there is still a chance of Tottenham Hotspur causing an unexpected twist.

Arsenal have emerged as the front-runners to land Eze over recent weeks, and the speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham has gone quiet over the last month.

However, they have resurfaced once again over the last few days, with GiveMeSport claiming over the weekend that Thomas Frank had greenlit the signing of Eze.

The outlet claimed that Crystal Palace had encouraged Tottenham to make an offer for the attacking midfielder as they hope to get a bidding war going between the two North London clubs.

Tottenham’s interest in Eberechi Eze could ramp up

Miguel Delaney has now made it clear that the Gunners are still the favourites to land the Palace star, with Mikel Arteta’s men expected to press forward with a move for the 27-year-old over the coming days.

However, he adds that Tottenham’s interest in the England international could ‘ramp up’ following James Maddison’s ACL injury.

Delaney wrote in his Inside Football email newsletter: “There are a few sagas ongoing right now, from Alexander Isak to Benjamin Sesko, but connected sources expect the Eze pursuit to ramp up in the next few days.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“While those close to the situation still expect the Crystal Palace forward to eventually end up at Arsenal this window, everyone is waiting to see whether Tottenham Hotspur will make a move after the unfortunate injury to James Maddison. That could ramp things up.”

Tottenham encouraged to resurrect Eze’s interest

According to sources, Tottenham have not made a concrete move for Eze yet despite holding discussions earlier in the window.

One man who wants to see that change is Jermain Defoe, who opined that Eze is a natural Tottenham player, given the flair and the creativity he possesses.

Fabrizio Romano reveals demand Savinho will make to Tottenham in order to accept transfer - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have fallen short with their opening offer for Savinho, but a move to North London is still very much on the cards for the Manchester City star, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Since it first emerged a couple of days ago that Spurs are eyeing a move for Savinho, the transfer appears to be moving very quickly.

According to various sources, Tottenham are currently locked in talks with Manchester City over a surprise deal for Savinho, just a week before the Premier League season starts.

This morning, Spurs Web relayed a report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who revealed that Spurs and Man City are negotiating a deal worth €50m (£43.2m) for Savinho.

Savinho wants Tottenham move despite rejected offer

Fabrizio Romano took to social media today to reveal that Tottenham Hotspur’s opening £43m offer for the former Genoa man has been sent back by City. However, the journalist added that Spurs have not given up on the deal yet, with negotiations still ongoing between the two clubs.

Consequently, Romano revealed that Savinho is keen on completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he added that City will only do a deal on their terms.

Romano took to YouTube this evening and revealed some extra information on the transfer interest. Apparently, Savinho wants to play every game next season and feel like a very important player.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Personal terms will reportedly not be a problem for Spurs and Savinho.

Spurs set to miss out on another City star

While Spurs appear to be pushing forward with talks over a deal for Savinho, they have seemingly opted against signing another Man City star.

It had been reported over recent days that Tottenham had made contact over a move for Jack Grealish, but the 29-year-old now looks set to join another Premier League club.

Description

Tottenham supporters have been quick to share their delight after one of the club’s brightest academy talents secured a new contract, ensuring his future remains tied to north London.

Tottenham Hotspur have already moved to send some of their promising youngsters out on loan this season, with Mikey Moore among those making temporary moves away from the club.

The 18-year-old winger has joined Scottish giants Rangers, who are set to compete in next season’s UEFA Champions League should they make it past the qualifying round, in search of valuable first-team experience at the highest level.

The deal is a season-long loan without any option to buy, which means Moore is expected to return to Hotspur Way next summer, ready to take the next step in his development.

Tottenham fans react to new Mikey Moore contract

Tottenham Hotspur have now announced that Mikey Moore has signed a new long-term contract with the club, although the specific length of the deal has not been disclosed.

With his future secured, Moore will continue his spell at Rangers until the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Spurs fans have reacted positively to the news, voicing their joy at the club holding on to one of their most highly regarded prospects.

MORE SPURS STORIES

One supporter wrote: “OUR FUTURE, OUR STARBOY, OUR WONDERKID. 🏴🤍”, while another simply said: “Good news”. Other comments included: “Congratulations”, “Future star in the making” and “Finally, some good news!!”.

Several also took the opportunity to wish Moore a happy birthday and well wishes for his time in Scotland, with one post reading: “Mikey Moore’s future looks bright, happy birthday and good luck out at Rangers!”

Others commented: “Our future number 10”, “he is the future of Spurs”, and “wish he wasn’t loaned out, to be honest.”

Why this is a significant step for Moore and Spurs

Moore has already enjoyed some eye-catching moments in a Tottenham shirt, notably becoming the club’s youngest ever Premier League player when he made his senior competitive debut aged 16 years and 277 days, featuring against Manchester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May 2024

The focus for the winger now will be to refine his game and develop further during his time with Rangers, putting himself in the best possible position to push for a first-team role at Spurs next season.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have plenty of promising starlets on their books, who fans will be hoping can make the breakthrough to Thomas Frank’s team in the coming years.

Supporters have seen the likes of Troy Parrott unable to make the step up to the Tottenham first-team squad and instead head out on multiple loan spells, with the Republic of Ireland international having now found his feet in the Netherlands.

Another talent from Ireland also caught the North Londoners’ eye when Tottenham signed Mason Melia from St Patrick’s Athletic in February.

Melia is currently back on loan at St Patrick’s Athletic until January 2026, having signed a deal with Spurs which will run until the summer of 2031.

Mason Melia scores brace for St Patrick’s Athletic

Tottenham paid £1.6m to sign Melia in a deal which could rise to £3.2m in add-ons depending on performance-related targets.

Melia was once again among the goals at the weekend when he scored a brace in the League of Ireland clash against Sligo Rovers, which saw St Pat’s come out as 3-0 winners.

The 17-year-old’s first goal came nine minutes after half-time when he found himself unmarked in the penalty area to head the ball into the bottom of the net from a corner.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Melia got his second of the game just four minutes later when he picked up the ball on the edge of the box and easily rounded a defender and the keeper, to tap home to make sure of all three points.

Tottenham’s talent factory needs to pay dividends in time

For many years, we have seen some of the club’s highly-rated academy players fail to make the step up, however, in recent times, there has been more of a focus on sending out the promising talent on loan spells to further their first-team footballing experience.

Antonio Conte certainly had little appetite for promoting from within during his time as Spurs manager, with the Italian instead preferring to sign experienced players.

Dane Scarlett is one young forward who needs to have a solid season out on loan, having struggled to score regularly at Oxford United last season and ended up being recalled by Spurs in January.

Luka Vuskovic update as Tottenham Hotspur work hard on key summer transfer - Spurs Web
Description

The race for Luka Vuskovic’s signature continues to intensify, and one Bundesliga club are continuing to work hard to convince Tottenham to send the Croat to them.

While the 18-year-old has shown promise in pre-season, he might find it hard to get game time at N17 this term, with Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Kevin Danso, Radu Dragusin, and potentially summer signing, Kota Takai, ahead of him in the pecking order.

Vuskovic is attracting plenty of loan interest from around Europe, with Tottenham contemplating where to send the teenager on the back of his outstanding spell in Belgium with Westerlo last term.

It was revealed a few days ago that Hamburg were locked in talks with Tottenham over a loan deal for Vuskovic, with the Spurs man potentially set to be united with his older brother at the German side.

Hamburg are working hard to sign Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham

A new report in Hamburger Abendblatt has now denied claims that Tottenham have agreed to send the centre-back to the newly promoted Bundesliga side.

The outlet says that the Premier League side are yet to decide on where to send Vuskovic as they assess the various offers on the table.

Hamburger are pulling out all stops to get the deal over the line, with the club’s sporting director Stefan Kuntz and their director of professional football, Claus Costa, currently focused on the deal.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The publication says that the pair are ‘working hard’ to ensure that the Spurs defender ends up at the Volksparkstadion this summer.

Spurs are carefully considering Vuskovic’s options

Hamburger Abendblatt make it clear that Tottenham are not in a hurry as they ‘want to carefully consider which club is the right one’ for the centre-back.

Just a couple of days ago, a report from a Croatian outlet claimed that Spurs had turned down Besiktas’ loan approach for Vuskovic.

It was asserted that Tottenham feel that the 18-year-old might come under too much pressure playing for the Turkish giants at this stage of his career.

Tottenham may have just lost out on yet another number ten target this summer - Spurs Web
Description

Manchester City are willing to let a Tottenham target leave for the right fee this summer, but two other clubs are battling the Lilywhites for the 22-year-old’s services.

Since Tottenham’s pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White fell through, McAtee is one of several attacking midfielders heavily linked with a move to North London.

It was even claimed by TBR Football a couple of days ago that Spurs had accelerated their pursuit of McAtee following James Maddison’s ACL injury.

The update claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have been fans of the young attacking midfielder for a long time and even explored a move for him in January.

Manchester City are ready to sell James McAtee to Tottenham for the right fee

The Mirror have now revealed that the England Under-21 international has been told that he is free to leave, with Pep Guardiola keen to trim his bloated squad.

The report confirms that McAtee had emerged as a target for Tottenham after Maddison was ruled out for the majority of the upcoming season.

However, the Lilywhites were battling both Nottingham Forest and Eintracht Frankfurt, who were also circling over the City starlet.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The publication revealed that Frankfurt made a £25m enquiry for McAtee, but the Bundesliga club were informed by City that they would have to pay £40m for the attacking midfielder.

Tottenham are currently locked in talks with Man City over Savinho, but McAtee has not been mentioned in those talks.

More recently, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Forest are closing in on McAtee for a fee in excess of £20m, meaning Spurs could be about to miss out on another number ten target.

Who are the other attacking midfielders on Tottenham’s radar?

McAtee is far from the only number ten Tottenham have their eye on, with some reports suggesting that Spurs could hijack Arsenal’s move for Eberechi Eze.

Tottenham had also launched an enquiry for McAtee’s teammate, Jack Grealish, but he is joining Everton on loan instead.

Tottenham fans split over Manchester City’s Savinho amid surprise transfer talks

Tottenham fans split over Manchester City’s Savinho amid surprise transfer talks - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham fans are once again locked in debate, this time over the club’s pursuit of Manchester City winger Savinho, with opinions ranging from excitement to scepticism.

The Premier League kicks off this week, and Tottenham Hotspur are still left threadbare in certain areas of the pitch.

The attacking positions still need strengthening, especially following injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, as well as the departure of Heung-min Son.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on Sunday night that Tottenham have opened club-to-club talks with Manchester City over a deal for Savinho in a bid to bolster their attack ahead of the new season.

It is understood that negotiations are ongoing, with the Brazilian winger reportedly open to the move.

Spurs fans have wasted no time in reacting to the latest Savinho update, with many supporters left divided over the possibility of the 21-year-old joining Tottenham.

One fan said, “he’s a baller” while another stated: “Love that guy!” One supporter was not convinced: “he is not elite. A lot of his play is also on the backs of an amazing City squad. How is he meant to generate it with the deadwood in ours.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

Another reasoned: “I get he is young and could become very good. Big on the potential side there. He is a RW, we need a LW and especially a 10. Such a weird move for our current position.”

Another chimed in: “We already have Odobert and Tel as a winger who does not know how to shoot at goal.” Others, however, remained keen: “I do not mind it tbf.” Others questioned: “Good player but does this hinder the 10?”

Kudus vs Savinho – how the stats compare

Of course, Tottenham fans are very much in the right to question how a player like Savinho would be deployed, given that the problem areas in attack are in the number ten position and on the left wing.

Mohammed Kudus currently looks to have nailed down the right wing position, as we have seen Thomas Frank deploy him on that side of the pitch during pre-season.

Kudus, however, can also play on the left and in the attacking midfield position, having played there 50 times in his career so far.

Savinho, on the other hand, has done most of his work on the left and right of attack, playing 58 and 57 games respectively, while in the attacking midfield position, he has featured there eight times.

Should a deal be completed with Manchester City and should Tottenham not sign a number ten, then there could be a reshuffling in Spurs’ setup, with Kudus playing as the club’s primary attacking midfielder.

Fabrizio Romano reveals how Savinho feels about potential Tottenham transfer

Fabrizio Romano reveals how Savinho feels about potential Tottenham transfer - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Manchester City to add some extra firepower to their attack in the form of Brazilian winger, Savinho.

Spurs boss Thomas Frank has seen him without the services James Maddison due to an ACL injury with the England international set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

Frank has also been lacking the services of Dominic Solanke during pre-season due to injury and also saw Heung-min Son complete his transfer to LAFC earlier this week.

With Tottenham set to face PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final on Wednesday, the club’s attacking options are lacking somewhat.

Tottenham in talks to sign Savinho from Manchester City

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has taken to social media platform X to confirm that Tottenham are currently in talks to sign Savinho from Manchester City.

The winger is said to be keen on a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if both clubs are able to reach an agreement on a transfer fee.

Savinho showed his creative worth in the City side in the 2024/25 campaign, having been their leading creator with nine assists across the Premier League and Champions League.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Romano also added that Savinho is ‘keen on the move’ to Spurs, although Man City will only sell for more than the €50m Tottenham have offered.

Romano wrote on X: “More on Savinho and Tottenham exclusive story. First proposal has already been sent by Spurs, worth €50m – and Man City want more.

“Negotiations ongoing with City who are open to selling as Savinho is keen on the move, but only at their conditions. Deal absolutely on.”

Savinho would help to answer Tottenham’s creative problem

Tottenham have looked toothless in attacking phases for most of pre-season, especially during the 4-0 defeat to Bayern Munich last time out.

Fans have already seen the Morgan Gibbs-White deal fall through and time is clearly running out with the transfer window closing at the end of the month.

Daniel Levy and the other Spurs figures need to get this deal over the line, rather than drawing it out to try to save a couple of million.

Squad depth is desperately lacking if Levy and the board expect Thomas Frank to compete on multiple fronts this season, a deal for Savinho would be the first piece towards salvaging the window.

David Ornstein reveals how much Savinho deal could be worth as Tottenham step up talks - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up talks with Manchester City over a deal for Savinho, and David Ornstein has now revealed the value of the deal that is currently being negotiated between the two clubs.

It emerged out of nowhere a couple of days ago that Tottenham had expressed an interest in signing Savinho from Man City.

Most Spurs fans initially took the speculation with a pinch of salt, given that the Brazilian had a solid first season at the Etihad Stadium after arriving from Genoa last summer.

However, over the last 24 hours, it has become clear that there is a legitimate chance of a deal happening, with Fabrizio Romano confirming that Tottenham are holding talks over a deal for Savinho.

David Ornstein reveals how much Tottenham may have to pay for Savinho

The Athletic’s David Ornstein has now also backed up the ongoing talks between Spurs and City over Savinho.

He reveals that the two clubs are currently negotiating a package worth in the region of €50m (£43.3m) for the 21-year-old, who moved to Manchester in a £30.8m deal last summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Ornstein says that while City are not actively looking to sell the winger, they are open to the possibility of cashing in on him, with Pep Guardiola not wanting to stand in the way of the player if he decides to leave.

While an agreement has not been reached between the two clubs, the journalist adds that Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to work on a deal to bring the Brazilian to N17.

Savinho deal would be an outstanding piece of business by Spurs

One would have thought that City would demand upwards of £50m or perhaps even closer to £60m for Savinho, given how positively Guardiola has spoken about the winger.

It would be an outstanding deal for Tottenham if they manage to get him for the reported price, as the 21-year-old would add exactly what the Spurs squad is lacking: one-v-one ability in attack.

However, given how this transfer window has gone so far for the Lilywhites, Tottenham fans would be wary of getting excited about this deal until it is signed, sealed and delivered.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur need a number ten to replace James Maddison and cover for the recovering Dejan Kulusevski this season, but they have just missed out on another target.

It emerged last week that Tottenham launched an enquiry for Jack Grealish as soon as James Maddison suffered a serious injury.

We know that the Man City star has been on the North London club’s radar for a while, as Johan Lange held talks with Grealish’s representatives in January.

However, another Premier League club have won the race for the 29-year-old, who wants to get back playing regularly ahead of next year’s World Cup.

Jack Grealish had his eye on Champions League with Tottenham

TEAMtalk originally claimed that Grealish was happy to wait on other offers beyond Everton, with Tottenham and Aston Villa also circling over the experienced attacker.

The former Villa star wanted to give himself the best chance of being in England’s World Cup squad next summer, and did not want to drop below the elite level.

It was revealed that he was thus very much open to Tottenham, who would offer him a chance to showcase his skills at the Champions League level. The winger was thought to be particularly keen to move to London, but Spurs did not make an official offer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

While the North London club held discussions this week over a potential move for Grealish, his £300,000-a-week wages were seen as a potential sticking point.

Grealish agrees to join Everton on loan

Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that, despite reports of Tottenham interest, Jack Grealish has now agreed to sign for Everton on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The journalist wrote: ‘Jack Grealish to Everton, here we go! Loan deal agreed with Man City and medical booked later today. Grealish said yes to EFC project and he’s now set to complete his move in next 24 hours.’
