Description

As speculation linking Thomas Frank with a move to Tottenham Hotspur continues to intensify, a new update has revealed what the Brentford head coach is thinking about Spurs’ approach and his current role with the Bees.

Several outlets are now reporting that Ange Postecoglou will be sacked by Tottenham over the coming days, and that decision is unlikely to go down well with a large section of the Spurs fans.

It has emerged over recent days that the Brentford boss has emerged as the top target for the Lilywhites as Spurs value Frank’s ability to develop young players.

In fact, some sources have even claimed that Tottenham have held talks with Frank about taking over from Postecoglou, and a new update has now revealed what is going through the Dane’s mind after the approach from the North Londoners.

Why Thomas Frank is keen on taking the Tottenham job

Football Insider have now also confirmed that the Bees head coach has indeed been approached by the Lilywhites, with initial talks thought to have been held between the two parties over the last few days.

It is said that Frank is interested in taking over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium even though his Brentford side finished seven places and 18 points above the North Londoners.

According to the publication, the 51-year-old is now the clear top target for Spurs to replace Postecoglou at the helm.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The experienced Premier League boss, who has been with Brentford for six seasons, believes that he is ready to make the jump to one of the ‘big six’ and is attracted by the chance to compete in the Champions League next season.

Frank’s concerns about remaining at Brentford

Reacting to the speculation over his future, Frank claimed Brentford is one of the best clubs in the world for any manager, given how the club operates.

However, this latest update by Football Insider says that the Danish coach fears that the Bees will sell their best players again this summer, which is an issue he has had to contend with throughout his time at the Gtech Community Stadium.

With the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Yoane Wissa and Mark Flekken in the sights of some big clubs, he is concerned that the club will be back to square one if they sell these stars before the start of the 2025-26 season.

Description

As Tottenham Hotspur continue to work on securing a potential replacement for Ange Postecoglou, a new report has suggested that there are some concerns internally at the club regarding the leading candidates to take over the hot seat.

Over the last couple of days, we have seen some reports suggesting that Daniel Levy has already decided to sack Ange Postecoglou, even though the decision has not been officially confirmed.

This news has sparked outrage from some on social media, including former player Ramon Vega accusing the Tottenham board of disrespecting Postecoglou after he delivered the club’s first trophy in 17 years.

It has been claimed that Spurs have held talks with candidates to replace Postecoglou, but there are thought to be some concerns about the names that the Lilywhites are now after.

Tottenham have a managerial decision to make

This update comes from The Times, who back up what we have heard from other sources by revealing that the names at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist are ones with Premier League experience.

Brentford’s Thomas Frank, Fulham’s Marco Silva and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola have allegedly been discussed as “possible successors” internally at Tottenham.

However, it is said that concerns have been raised as a result of the trio’s “lack of pedigree and experience” at the highest level.

MORE SPURS STORIES

That might be a particular issue for the North London club, given that they are set to embark on a Champions League adventure this season having booked their return to European football’s most prestigious club competition following their Europa League final win against Manchester United in Bilbao last month.

Alasdair Gold reveals Tottenham’s concerns about sacking Postecoglou

This report comes just a couple of days after Alasdair Gold claimed that Spurs fear a backlash from supporters if they sack Postecoglou.

He explained that there are also concerns about how the decision will be perceived by the media, particularly given the reputation that the club have of not prioritising silverware.

Finally, Gold also added that it may be difficult for Tottenham to sell the appointment of Frank or Silva to the club’s fan base.

Tottenham may cash in on Richarlison in order to help land summer transfer target

Tottenham may cash in on Richarlison in order to help land summer transfer target - Spurs Web
Description

Transfer market expert Pete O’Rourke has revealed Tottenham Hotspur do not want to pay the asking price that Southampton are demanding for Tyler Dibling, however, the North Londoners are still determined to negotiate a deal for the winger.

The 19-year-old was always going to be one of the most in-demand signings of the summer transfer window after Southampton failed to preserve their Premier League status and were suffered relegation back to the Championship.

That is exactly how it is proving to be, with Tottenham expected to face plenty of competition for Dibling’s signature this summer.

It has been reported by some sources that Spurs are at the front of the queue to land Dibling, but the Lilywhites have their work cut out to sign the teenager, who is held in high regard by the Saints.

Tottenham want to sign Tyler Dibling for a lower fee

Just a few days ago, it was reported by Sky Sports that Southampton are demanding £55m from Spurs for Dibling, and this information has now been backed up by Pete O’Rourke.

O’Rourke reveals that Tottenham had a £35m offer for Dibling turned down by the Saints during the January window, and explained that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is hopeful of signing the England Under-21 international for £10m-£15m lower than what Will Still’s men are demanding.

He told Football Insider: “Spurs bid £35million in January, which Southampton quickly rejected. With Southampton suffering relegation, it’s going to be really hard for them to keep hold of the teenager.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“That valuation of £55million asking price might be too high… Spurs will be hoping they can negotiate with Southampton and get him for £40–£45million.”

Richarlison could be sold by Tottenham this summer

Despite the Lilywhites’ reluctance to meet Southampton’s asking price for Dibling, O’Rourke made it clear that the teenager is seen as the ideal addition for the Tottenham project as they look to bulk up their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.

He suggested that the Lilywhites may raise the required money for the Saints academy graduate by cashing on Richarlison, who joined Tottenham in a £60m deal from Everton in July 2022.

O’Rourke added: “[Dibling] fits Tottenham’s strategy perfectly, signing the best young talent and giving them first-team football to make an instant impact.

“With Son staying, Dibling linked, and Richarlison likely to be moved on… there’s got to be some restructuring at Tottenham this summer.

“The domestic campaign was awful… the squad depth and quality has to be addressed and must improve. You look at Chelsea – Enzo Maresca’s picked two teams, so Spurs must build for multi-front competition.”

Description

After resigning from his role as assistant coach at Tottenham Hotspur to take over the top job at West Bromwich Albion, Ryan Mason has now spoken about what he expects in his first challenge as head coach and why he accepted the offer.

After weeks of heavy rumours, on Monday, Mason was confirmed as the West Brom head coach, replacing the experienced Tony Mowbray, who was sacked by the club back in April.

That ended the 33-year-old’s long journey with Tottenham, where he came through the academy and went on to break into the first team before returning to the club as an academy coach after being forced into an early retirement following a head injury while at Hull City.

The former Spurs midfielder now has experience managing at the highest level, having served as Tottenham’s interim head coach twice and having been part of Ange Postecoglou’s coaching staff for the last two years.

Ryan Mason claims the West Brom job is the perfect first challenge

On completing a move to the Hawthorns, Mason has now admitted that it is a huge honour to be in charge of such a storied club and insisted that he sees it as the perfect challenge to start his managerial journey.

He remarked that he is excited about the challenge that awaits him at the Midlands club and reiterated the ambition with which he is taking up the job.

Mason told West Brom’s official website: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have been appointed Head Coach of West Bromwich Albion. This is a huge club with a fantastic infrastructure and an incredible fan base and I am excited about what we can achieve together.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Having spoken at length to the board and those at the club I am convinced that Albion is the perfect place for me to be and I can’t wait to get started.

“I will bring with me a huge amount of enthusiasm, dedication and ambition and look forward to a positive future together at such a fantastic club.”

Daniel Levy’s statement on Mason shows how much he is valued at Spurs

The Tottenham chairman is usually not one to comment on the arrival and departure of assistant coaches or staff members, but he has done so on this occasion.

Daniel Levy has wished Mason “every success” at West Brom, admitting that he has been an “integral” part of Tottenham over the years.

Tottenham coach sends clear message of next season’s target after Europa League success

Tottenham coach sends clear message of next season’s target after Europa League success - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur coach Sergio Raimundo has made a bold statement about the club’s ambitions for next season, revealing the goal is not just to compete, but to win another trophy.

The 2024/25 season was one filled with several ups and downs, as Tottenham Hotspur oscillated between moments of brilliance and stretches of complete disarray, making it a campaign to remember and forget in equal measure.

The Premier League season was, quite frankly, abysmal, with Spurs ending the season having lost more matches than they won, finishing in 17th place, just one place clear of relegation.

For a club of Tottenham’s stature, that level of performance is entirely unacceptable, yet they managed to paper over the cracks of a poor campaign by their triumph in the UEFA Europa League, where they edged past Manchester United 1-0 to lift the trophy and secure a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Raimundo reveals Tottenham’s goal for next season is more silverware

At the beginning of the 2024/25 season, following Ange Postecoglou’s respectable fifth-place finish in his first spell as Tottenham manager, the clear objective was to secure a return to Champions League football in his second term.

The Australian boss delivered on that front, with Spurs ultimately achieving their season’s ambition despite their domestic failures.

Now that the curtain has fallen on the 24/25 campaign, first-team assistant coach Sergio Raimundo has pulled no punches about Tottenham’s target for the upcoming campaign.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The 40-year-old has revealed that Spurs want to win another trophy, describing the feeling of lifting silverware as addictive.

He told Record: “It is about continuing to win. I always had the idea of winning ten titles in ten different countries, with first division teams. Wherever you are, keep winning, because the impact it has on your family, on the fans, on the clubs, the joy you generate… it is addictive!”

Spurs eye UEFA Super Cup glory against PSG

There is little doubt that everyone associated with Tottenham Hotspur shares the sentiment expressed by Postecoglou’s number two, as fans across the board will be hoping to see the club build on their Europa League success and bring more silverware back to north London.

Tottenham will get their next shot at a trophy soon enough, when Spurs face off against UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup – a clash that promises to test the Lilywhites against Europe’s current best.

Despite PSG’s dominance throughout the season, which included dispatching all four English sides they faced in the Champions League before dismantling Inter Milan 5-0 in the final, Spurs supporters remain hopeful that their side can pull off another memorable win when they take on the French champions.

The summer transfer window will be pivotal for Tottenham, who will be looking to bring in experience and quality in key areas to strengthen their chances of sustaining a winning culture.

But, it remains to be seen whether Postecoglou and Raimundo will still be leading the charge in north London, with the club yet to make a definitive call on the Australian’s future following a dismal league campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur fans react to new 2025/26 home kit design ahead of new season - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have officially unveiled their 2025/26 home kit, but the fan response has been anything but unanimous, with opinions split across social media over the new design.

The preparations for the next campaign are already underway after Tottenham Hotspur released the new 2025/26 home kit in a launch campaign led by club legend Ledley King.

The new home kit was released shortly before 8am on Tuesday and features a subtle tweak to the navy sleeves of last season’s design.

A new grey and ashen slate pattern appears under the arm and the traditional lilywhite base forming the outer part of the sleeve.

What Tottenham Hotspur fans have made of the new 2025/26 home kit design

With the home kit finally released, some Tottenham Hotspur fans have shared their early reaction on social media, with responses mixed. While some supporters are pleased with the look of the kit, others are far from convinced.

Tottenham first-team squad members Micky van de Ven, Archie Gray and Dejan Kulusevski featured prominently in the launch, however, there was no place for any of the leadership group, including club captain Heung-min Son, Cristian Romero and James Maddison.

One fan rated the kit a solid 7.8, writing: “Not the most exciting but still clean 7.8/10.” Another stated: “Definitely buying one ☝️” while another simply said it is: “Class.” A different supporter gave a balanced verdict, calling it: “Not great not terrible.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

Other fans did not rate it so highly, with one commenting: “Awful” and another dismissing it as: “Mid.” One supporter went further, stating: “That is a bad one,”

While another gave a more detailed opinion: “I would prefer white shirts and navy shorts. The shield should feature a rooster. The home kits should refer to the classics. 2017/18 or 2019/20.”

There were also those already turning attention to the away kit, with one stating: “Looks like a bad training top. However if the black kit is true, that is a phenomenal kit.”

Another added: “The black away kit looks awesome,” while one admitted: “Not as bad as I thought but still mid.” Others were more enthusiastic, with one fan calling it: “Brilliant 👌.”

Spurs 2025/26 home kit pricing and first expected outing

The new home kits are currently on sale, with the standard edition priced at £85, while the elite version costs £125.

Tottenham will be expected to wear it for the first time in pre-season, when Spurs take on Arsenal in their North London derby friendly on 31 July in Hong Kong, the first ever such fixture to take place outside of England.

Currently, the new kit is only available for purchase at the official club shop, the online store and Nike as part of an exclusivity period, before it is released to wider retail outlets in approximately a fortnight’s time.

Tottenham want to use two ‘weapons’ to convince Cristian Romero to stay - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to fight to keep Cristian Romero off Atletico Madrid’s clutches this summer with the Lilywhites are hoping that two crucial factors can help them persuade the defender to remain at the club.

While some Spanish outlets had previously made it seem like a switch to Atletico Madrid is a foregone conclusion for Cristian Romero, the situation appears to have changed over the last few days.

It has emerged that Daniel Levy is fighting hard to keep the Spurs vice-captain at the club despite Atletico’s persistent efforts.

In fact, some publications have even suggested that Levy is refusing to negotiate with Atletico over Romero for the time being, with the La Liga club’s hopes of landing the centre-back fading away as a result.

Tottenham hope two factors could persuade Cristian Romero to stay

According to report by Mundo Deportivo, Spurs are now ‘fighting’ Atletico’s interest and have not given up hope of keeping the 27-year-old at the club.

This is despite the centre-back wanting a change of scenery and having a desire to complete a move to the Spanish capital.

Tottenham are hoping that two ‘weapons’ help convince Romero to stay, one of them being that the centre-back can once again play Champions League football at the club next season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The other is that the Lilywhites are ready to offer Romero a long-term contract extension with a significant salary increase in the hope that he can be persuaded to sign on the dotted line.

Tottenham’s contingency plan for Romero

Mundo Deportivo claim that if Romero does not agree to a new deal, Spurs will cash in on the centre-back this summer.

However, with the former Juventus man having two years left on his contract, the North Londoners will want more than €50m (£42.1m) for the player.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have officially released the club’s new home kit ahead of the 2025/26 season.

After numerous leaks on social media over the course of the past few months, Tottenham Hotspur’s new 2025/26 home kit has been officially unveiled.

The new home kit went on sale today for the first time and Tottenham will be expected to wear it for the first time in pre-season.

Currently, it looks as if the first time the Tottenham first team will get the opportunity to play in the fresh design will be when they take part North London derby friendly against Arsenal on July 31st in Hong Kong.

On Monday, Spurs legend Ledley King teased the release with a video on the club’s social media channels which carried the slogan ‘take a vow’.

What does Tottenham’s 2025/26 home kit look like

The new 25/26 home kit is predominantly white with light grey and dark blue partly coloured sleeves, compared to the 24/25 design, which went for a solid navy sleeve and fine white stripes.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Once again strip is made by Nike as Tottenham continue their lengthy partnership with the American sportswear giants Nike, which is set to run until 2033.

AIA are also continuing their association as the main shirt sponsor since 2014, and Kraken’s multi-year sleeve sponsorship sees the crypto platform provider once again appear.

Currently, the new kit is only available for purchase at the official club shop and online store as part of an exclusivity period before its released to wider retail.

The standard edition costs £85, while the elite version is priced at £125.

When does the new Spurs away and third kits launch?

No official date has been confirmed for either as of yet. Last year, Tottenham announced the release of the away kit on June 24th, while the third strip followed on August 27th.

The most important thing is that we see the new kits worn in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Three South American clubs are keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur striker - Spurs Web
Description

One Tottenham player who struggled to make an impact once again last season is wanted by his former club this summer, and a fresh update has suggested they have a big advantage as the race for his signature intensifies.

Alejo Veliz joined Tottenham in a £13m deal from Rosario Central in August 2023, however, the centre-forward has not been able to make a breakthrough during his time in European football as of yet.

The forward has had two challenging loan spells at Sevilla and Espanyol, struggling to get regular game time at both clubs, and it has been suggested over recent weeks that Veliz could return to Argentina this summer.

Last week, it emerged that Rosario Central are plotting a move to re-sign Veliz, and a fresh update has now explained the state of play in the race for the 21-year-old.

Alejo Veliz is not short of options this summer

Journalist Cristian Camino has now told TNT Sports Argentina (as relayed by Soy del Millo): “Alejo Véliz wants to join this super Rosario Central that is being built.”

Soy del Millo then go into depth about the transfer race, revealing that River Plate and Boca Juniors have also joined Rosario Central in the pursuit of the Tottenham man.

Both Boca and River are thought to be after a number nine and have already contacted Veliz to enquire about a summer move.

MORE SPURS STORIES

All three clubs believe that he is not wanted by Tottenham and that they will be happy to cut their losses this summer if they receive the right transfer fee.

Rosaria Central have a big advantage in the race for Veliz

Soy del Millo suggest that Rosario Central have an advantage over both Boca and River in the race to land the Spurs youngster.

That is not only because of the emotional connection Veliz has with the club, having come through their academy, but also because of the team they are building.

Rosaria Central have just acquired the services of Angel Di Maria and they are building a ‘team full of stars’ so that they can ‘seriously compete’ for titles, with the Tottenham man thus keen on a return.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has spoken after Ryan Mason completed his exit from the club to take over as the new manager of West Bromwich Albion.

The summer window is set to be a busy one for Tottenham Hotspur, who are preparing for a major rebuild both on the field and behind the scenes.

The future of manager Ange Postecoglou remains uncertain, as the Tottenham hierarchy is yet to decide whether to stick with the Australian, who ended their 17-year wait for silverware, or to part ways after a dismal Premier League campaign that saw him lead the Lilywhites to a 17th-place finish.

While the verdict on Postecoglou’s future continues to hang in the balance, one man in the Tottenham dugout has already headed for the exit.

Ryan Mason leaves Tottenham for West Bromwich Albion job

Following reports linking Ryan Mason with a move to Championship side West Bromwich Albion, the Tottenham assistant coach has now completed the switch.

The 33-year-old has now sealed his move to become head coach of the Championship outfit, who finished ninth last season, missing out on the play-offs.

This will be Mason’s first full-time role as a first-team manager, although he has served as an interim caretaker boss on 13 occasions at Tottenham, stepping in after the departures of both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy paid tribute to Mason in a statement on the club’s official site: “Ryan has been an integral part of Tottenham Hotspur for a number of years, both as a player and a coach.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ryan for all his dedication and hard work over the years, and we wish him every success for the future.”

Spurs fans back Ryan Mason after leaving the club

The 33-year-old has been a loyal servant to Tottenham Hotspur, racking up 70 appearances during his playing days before a horrific head injury at Hull City forced him into early retirement.

The Tottenham fans have wished Mason well in his new managerial venture, with many pleased to see him handed the opportunity to lead a club in his own right.

Indeed, Mason will now hope to make his mark in the dugout, as he takes on the challenge of guiding the Baggies back to the Premier League.
