Tottenham make multiple enquiries over Serie A striker, potential loan with option to buy - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham appear to be exploring a potential January move that could see them land a struggling Serie A forward, with talks over a possible loan deal already said to be on the table.

Reports linking Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Jonathan David are not entirely new.

Spurs were linked with the Canadian international during both the winter and summer windows earlier this year, before he made the switch to Serie A side Juventus.

That move has not gone to plan for David, who has managed just one goal for the Old Lady all season and is slowly falling down the pecking order in Turin.

Juventus are said to be open to moving David on to reduce their wage bill, with the striker currently earning around £5.2 million per season.

Juventus open to Tottenham loan with option to buy for Jonathan David

Recent reports have once again linked Tottenham with the 25-year-old, with the Lilywhites understood to have enquired about the forward.

Fresh claims from TuttoSport suggest that David is not in the right frame of mind to play for Juventus at the moment, following heavy scrutiny from the Italian media.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Canadian forward is reportedly attracting interest from several clubs, with AC Milan, Chelsea, and Tottenham all monitoring his situation closely.

Spurs are believed to have made multiple enquiries about David, while Juventus remain reluctant to sanction a permanent sale at this stage, instead preferring a loan arrangement.

It is understood, however, that the Serie A giants could soften their stance if a club like Tottenham proposed a loan deal that included an option to buy at the end of the season.

Spurs exploring attacking options ahead of January

Tottenham have been linked with several attacking players in recent weeks, as Thomas Frank looks to strengthen his frontline ahead of the January transfer window.

Among the names linked is another Juventus striker, Dusan Vlahovic, who could become a free agent in six months if his contract situation in Turin is not resolved.

If David were to leave Juventus, Vlahovic could stay put, which in turn might hinder Tottenham’s chances of landing him later down the line.

Wilson Odobert reveals why he is confident after ‘looking closely’ at Tottenham results - Spurs Web
Description

Wilson Odobert has shared his thoughts on the club’s inconsistent home form, as Thomas Frank continues to search for solutions at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur’s home form has been a source of major concern for Thomas Frank, who has seen his side win just one game at home all season, having lost three and drawn two of their six matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Their away record, on the other hand, has been near flawless, with no team in the Premier League this season boasting a better run of results away from home.

Tottenham remain unbeaten on their travels this term, having drawn one away fixture and won four others on the road, which highlights a clear contrast between their performances at home and away.

Wilson Odobert shares honest view on Tottenham home form

Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert has given his take on the club’s struggles at home, insisting that things will improve with time and consistency.

Speaking to RMC Sport ahead of the international break, where he joined up with the France U21 side, the 20-year-old reflected on Tottenham’s performances so far this season and suggested that their home results do not tell the full story.

“I think it will all come together little by little,” Odobert said. “If you look closely at our matches, we are not playing badly. And when we lose, it is really close.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“A bit of a mixed bag because if you look at away games, I think we are the best away team. So, there you have it, we just need to confirm that at home.

“And with our fans, I think that will come together little by little. So, we are feeling confident, we have a good feeling about us, and I think the chances we create will come with time. We should not force things; we just need to let time take its course, and everyone should work hard.”

Spurs stronger in Europe despite league struggles

While Spurs have struggled at home in the Premier League, the Lilywhites have shown a much stronger record in European competitions this season.

Tottenham have been flawless at home on the continental stage, with the north Londoners yet to lose a single game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning 17 of their 22 matches and keeping 12 clean sheets in the process.

Tottenham star forced to withdraw from international squad due to ‘fitness issues’ - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the final international break of the year hoping for a clean bill of health, but one star has been sent home early.

Club football has been put on a pause with the final international break of the year in full swing, with several players vying for a spot in the 2026 World Cup finals.

Tottenham Hotspur players have not been exempt from these rounds of international football, with a number of the Lilywhites involved in 45 fixtures across the break.

Thomas Frank would be hoping his players return unscathed from the pause, as the season is expected to enter one of the busiest and most unforgiving stretches during the festive period.

Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall withdraws from Sweden squad

Amongst the different players to have jetted off to represent their countries this break is Lucas Bergvall, who has missed the last two games for Tottenham because of a concussion injury.

According to reports from Aftonbladet, it has now been confirmed that Lucas Bergvall has withdrawn from the Swedish squad entirely, with reports stating that he was forced to leave the national team due to fitness issues.

Sweden are fighting for their place in the World Cup after some wretched form of late, and they face Switzerland on Saturday.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Bergvall was called up by his national team, with new manager Graham Potter sounding confident about him featuring for his side despite the midfielder not taking part in full training.

It is believed that the 19-year-old’s withdrawal is due to the concussion issue that saw him come off early against Chelsea.

Spurs concerned as Bergvall setback raises fresh questions

Following concussion protocols, Bergvall was expected to miss just two games for Tottenham since picking up the knock.

He has done that, not featuring against Copenhagen in the Champions League and missing out against Manchester United in the last league game.

It is rather strange that the teenager would withdraw entirely from the national team for the same reason, and it would be a cause for worry for Frank and his medical team, who still have several sidelined players.

Fabio Paratici reveals heartwarming reason he wanted to return to Tottenham - Spurs Web
Description

Fabio Paratici has opened up on his decision to return to Tottenham Hotspur rather than take up other job offers after his FIFA ban expired.

Last month, Tottenham confirmed that both Paratici and Johan Lange have been appointed as sporting directors of the club.

Speaking after sealing a return to N17, Paratici admitted that he was delighted to return to a club that he loves.

The Italian also thanked Tottenham fans for sticking by him through his ban, admitting that the messages of support received from the fans played a role in his keenness to return.

Fabio Paratici claims Tottenham were always fully behind him

The 53-year-old went through a difficult ordeal over the last couple of years after being accused of having a part in Juventus’ capital gains scandal.

Once the ban expired earlier this year, it was reported that Paratici was on the verge of taking over as AC Milan’s sporting director, but he decided to return to N17 instead.

When asked why his move to Milan did not work out and his decision to return to Tottenham Hotspur, the Italian told Sky Sport Italia: “I am not going to ask myself why that didn’t work out.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“I returned to Tottenham because they made me feel truly at home. They never judged me here, just showed support and help. There was never a moment when I felt they had doubts about me.”

Paratici claims Serie A is far behind the Premier League

According to reports, Paratici has already started working on Tottenham’s January targets, and from the 53-year-old’s latest statement, it appears he is delighted to be back working for one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League.

He explained that the English top-flight has a brand that compares with the biggest sporting leagues in the world, with other football leagues having a lot of catching up to do.

When asked about the differences between working in Serie A and the Premier League, Paratici responded: “The approach is totally different, the institution itself is a global brand on a par with the NBA.

“It is watched all over the world, so there are a series of areas we can learn from in Italy. The biggest thing we need to do is improve the infrastructure, as stadiums and training grounds are fundamental.”

Tottenham sold a player who just gave Cristiano Ronaldo nightmares for only £6.7m - Spurs Web
Description

A former Tottenham starlet has fired his nation to a 2-0 win in a crucial World Cup qualifier against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.

Over the last few years, we have seen a few highly rated academy graduates fail to make the expected impact at first-team level.

Perhaps the starkest example was Troy Parrott, who was seen by many at Hotspur Way as a generational talent, with the youngster making his senior debut for the Lilywhites aged just 17, back in 2019.

However, he never managed to establish himself in the senior side in North London and following an impressive campaign on loan at Excelsior Rotterdam in 2023-24, he was bought by Alkmaar for £6.7m in the summer of 2024.

Former Tottenham youngster Troy Parrott destroys Portugal on the big stage

The centre-forward has come into his own over the last 18 months, having managed 33 goals and seven assists in 61 appearances for Alkmaar since his switch to the AFAS Stadium.

The 23-year-old has been leading the line regularly for the Republic of Ireland, and he came of age in international football on Thursday, netting a brace to help the Irish overcome Portugal 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Parrott’s first goal was a poacher’s finish, with the striker being at the right spot to convert after a corner-kick to the back post was headed back across the goal.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The former Spurs man’s second was an impressive goal, with the youngster chasing down a long ball, cutting inside and squeezing his shot in at the near post.

Parrott admits it was the best night of his life

There have been reports that Premier League clubs are now eyeing a move for Parrott, and one would think that a big transfer is not far off for the striker if he keeps performing as he is.

Speaking after the 2-0 win over Portugal, the Tottenham academy graduate admitted that he was “overwhelmed”, describing it as the “best night” of his life.

Mikey Moore just won over one of his biggest Rangers critics and it’s great news for Tottenham

Mikey Moore just won over one of his biggest Rangers critics and it's great news for Tottenham - Spurs Web
Description

A Scottish pundit has publicly admitted he was wrong in his earlier criticism of Rangers loanee Mikey Moore, as the Tottenham youngster continues to shine under new management.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Mikey Moore did not enjoy the best of starts to life at Rangers under Russell Martin.

The Scottish giants struggled to find form under the former Southampton boss and have since parted ways with him.

Danny Rohl has since taken charge at Ibrox, and the change in management has brought about a clear shift in Rangers’ performances.

Moore, in particular, now looks much more like the lively and creative forward who broke into Tottenham’s first team last season under Ange Postecoglou.

Pundit Andy Halliday backtracks on criticism of Tottenham’s Mikey Moore

The teenage winger came under heavy criticism earlier this season for his underwhelming displays in a Rangers shirt, with both supporters and pundits questioning his readiness for the demands of Scottish football.

However, the teenager’s upturn in form has quickly silenced those doubts, with Rangers fans now full of praise for Moore’s recent performances.

MORE SPURS STORIES

One pundit in particular, Andy Halliday, has openly backtracked on his previous comments. Speaking on Radio Clyde’s Superscoreboard – as relayed by Rangersreviews, Halliday admitted he had misjudged the young winger.

He explained: “I can only give my honest opinion and his time at Rangers before Danny Rohl came in the door. I never saw any good performances, any flashes from Mikey Moore to suggest he was ready for the expectations and the demands of Rangers.

“Since Danny Rohl has come in the door, I stand corrected. I think he has been excellent in four out of five games he has played in and he just looks like a completely different player.

“He has that freedom and that little bit of, not quite a free role, but freedom to roam about the inside of the pitch and create and get on the end of things.”

Danny Rohl full of praise for Moore after recent display

Moore scored his first goal for Rangers against Dundee, and it was a moment that underlined the teenager’s class.

The Spurs academy graduate started and finished the move with a superb strike from the edge of the box, showcasing his composure and technical quality.

Were it not for VAR, he could have had a brace, as another well-taken goal was ruled out for offside in the build-up. Still, his impact was clear to see, and his growing influence on Rohl’s side continues to attract attention.

Luka Vuskovic comments on Tottenham return as he boasts 'good grades' on loan at Hamburg - Spurs Web
Description

Luka Vuskovic is due to return to Tottenham Hotspur next summer, but the defender has said something which has raised uncertainty about his future.

Luka Vuskovic could have remained at Tottenham Hotspur this season, but he chose to be loaned abroad in a bid for regular first-team minutes.

This decision appears to have paid off for the 18-year-old, who has made eight Bundesliga appearances for Hamburg SV.

Spurs have recently been handed a boost in defence, as Radu Dragusin played in a behind closed doors friendly. However, many of the club’s supporters want to see Vuskovic brought into the Tottenham first-team squad next summer.

Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic is unsure where his future lies

Vuskovic stated last month that he would like to extend his stay at Hamburg and play a second season, so he could play alongside his brother Mario.

The 23-year-old, who also plays as a centre-back, is currently serving a doping ban which will continue for another year.

Luka Vuskovic said in his press conference ahead of Croatia’s World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands (as relayed by Novi List): “I’m happy with everything at HSV. My grades are good, even above expectations.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“My teammates are great, everyone supports me and I have no bad words or criticism. I just need to keep going.

“Tottenham? I hear from them, they follow me. They are a good club when it comes to developing young players. I don’t know when I will be back.”

Vuskovic needs Premier League experience

From Xavi Simons at Spurs to Florian Wirtz at Liverpool, it is clear that many of the Bundeliga’s players struggle to adapt quickly to the Premier League.

Vuskovic will undoubtedly benefit from a year in Germany, but it would be better for him to play in England next season, so he can acquaint himself with the intensity of the top flight.

Tottenham have two first choice centre-backs whose places in the first-team are unlikely to be challenged. However, if Vuskovic builds a good run of form at Hamburg, he might be given a chance by Thomas Frank next season.

Tottenham shortlist two striker targets from the same club ahead of January transfer window

Tottenham shortlist two striker targets from the same club ahead of January transfer window - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign another striker, with both Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Munai suffering injuries this season, and the club have shortlisted two players.

Tottenham Hotspur have struggled to remain consistent this season where results are concerned. However, one thing which has continued to be consistent throughout the campaign has been members of the first-team squad picking up injuries.

This has left Spurs with fewer available options in some areas of the pitch, including at the centre of attack.

Dominic Solanke has been sidelined since August and Randal Kolo Muani has suffered two separate injuries since making the loan switch from PSG.

Tottenham are considering two Juventus strikers

With Fabio Paratici back at Spurs, it is no surprise that they are eyeing players from Juventus and the two strikers linked with Tottenham are both former transfer targets.

Football Insider report that Spurs were linked with Dusan Vlahovic last month and may attempt to sign the 6ft 3in forward when the transfer window opens.

Vlahovic’s contract expires next summer, so the Serie A club could be willing to let the 25-year-old go in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

His teammate Jonathan David is also being considered by Tottenham. The striker has long been linked with a move to North London, including when he played for LOSC Lille.

Dusan Vlahovic and Jonathan David both have reasonable goalscoring records

Vlahovic already has six goals in Serie A and the Champions League combined this season. However, he only netted 10 league goals in 29 appearances during the 2024/25 campaign.

David on the other hand has struggled to get going at Juventus, scoring only one goal so far this season. Despite this, he was impressive at Lille last season and drew attention after scoring seven times in the Champions League.

Neither player is likely to be banging in the kind of figures Harry Kane and Heung-min Son achieved at Tottenham, but either player would still be a decent signing.

Wilson Odobert gives early ‘top-notch’ review of Thomas Frank’s tactics at Tottenham

Wilson Odobert gives early ‘top-notch’ review of Thomas Frank’s tactics at Tottenham - Spurs Web
Description

Things are going very well under Thomas Frank, according to Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert, who believes the club is heading in the right direction under the Danish manager.

Since replacing Ange Postecoglou in the summer, Thomas Frank has looked to make his mark in north London with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dane has diverted from the free-flowing attacking football that was synonymous with Postecoglou, instead opting for a more pragmatic approach.

His style has brought mixed opinions, but it is yielding results as Tottenham sit fifth in the Premier League table, having won five games, drawn three and lost three.

The north London side looks solid, though not as fluid going forward, as Frank continues to stamp his tactical identity on the team.

Wilson Odobert insists things are going very well under Frank at Tottenham

The style of play remains the biggest talking point under Thomas Frank, but Tottenham winger Wilson Odobert has made it clear that things are going very well behind the scenes.

Odobert has featured for just 679 minutes in all competitions so far this season and has begun to find his rhythm of late, registering a goal and an assist in his last two outings for Tottenham.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to RMC Sport ahead of the international break, where he joined up with the France U21 side, the 20-year-old gave an insight into how the players are responding to Frank’s methods. “It is going very well. Honestly, he has a good work ethic,” Odobert said.

“I think everyone is happy with him. He has some good game plans. So, it is top-notch. We have a style of play. A little different, but I think it is still a good style of play. So, there you have it. After that, we always have to try to find depth to add variety.”

What the Spurs higher ups think of Frank’s start so far

Tottenham supporters have not been entirely convinced with Frank’s tactical setup, with sections of the home crowd expressing frustration in recent fixtures.

The Dane and his team were booed at full-time after the Chelsea match, while his decision to substitute Xavi Simons for Mathys Tel in the clash against Manchester United also drew audible disapproval.

Tottenham fans expect more attacking intent from Frank, though Clinton Morrison recently claimed that Spurs fans may never see the same brand of football that Postecoglou brought to the club.

Description

Pascal Chimbonda has shared his thoughts on two Tottenham Hotspur youngsters who have struggled to cement a spot in Thomas Frank’s first team.

The Tottenham first-team squad has been highly competitive this season, with many players having to settle for fewer minutes than they might have liked.

Mathys Tel is one of these players, as the striker trails Richarlison in the pecking order and has made just three Premier League starts.

His France under-21s teammate Wilson Odobert has spent more time on the pitch recently, but he too has not done enough to be rewarded with a permanent spot in the starting lineup.

Pascal Chimbonda calls for Tottenham duo to be given more game time

Frechman and ex-Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda is a big fan of Odobert and Tel, and he is eager to see Frank provide them with more minutes.

The 46-year-old has even drawn a comparison between Odobert and one of the club’s summer signings, who has already established himself as a fan favourite.

Chimbonda exclusively told The Spurs Web: “I think Odobert needs more game time. I think he’s similar to [Mohammed] Kudus. If both are playing on the wings, I think we can cause teams more problems, and we will create more chances to score.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Tel is a talented player, very good, and I think when he comes off the bench, he’s more lively and dangerous like when he used to play for Bayern [Munich].”

Odobert and Tel both found form before the international break

Tottenham were left disappointed after losing the lead late on against Manchester United. However, it was a good game for Tel and Odobert, who each secured a goal contribution during the game.

This was especially significant for Odobert, as he built on the goal he scored in the Champions League against Copenhagen with an assist. As well as this, it was his first Premier League goal contribution this season.

Both players will be hoping Frank has not forgotten their contributions after the international break, as they look forward to a potential start in the upcoming North London derby.
