Description

Jamie O’Hara has made a big statement on Igor Tudor and Tottenham’s decision to appoint him after the Lilywhites took a big step closer to being relegated from the Premier League on Sunday.

The hope among Spurs fans was that the team would be able to replicate the display they produced against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday and pick up their first league win of 2026.

However, all the optimism at the club has been sucked out due to a bruising 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, which has put the Lilywhites in an extremely precarious position.

According to Opta, Tottenham are now twice as likely to go down as Forest are following yesterday’s result, and one former Spurs midfielder has let rip at the man calling the shots.

Jamie O’Hara claims Igor Tudor is the worst appointment in Tottenham’s history

While the Tottenham players have taken responsibility for the team’s current predicament, all eyes will now be on Tudor as we embark on the international break.

The Croat has lost four and drawn one of his first Premier League games in charge, with his appointment now looking like a major misstep by the club.

O’Hara has termed the 47-year-old the worst appointment in the club’s history and has not only called for Tudor’s sacking, but also the sacking of those who bought him into the club.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The pundit wrote on X: “Igor Tudor is the worst appointment in Spurs history. I told you he’s a fraud, Lange, Vinai, Tudor should all be sacked immediately.

Does a new manager have time to make an impact at Spurs?

Things are looking very bleak for Spurs, who, on current form, many would consider the favourites to go down.

It is unclear if even making a new managerial change would arrest the team’s slide, as the new man coming in will have just seven games to save the club.

The club have boxed themselves into a corner, as one would imagine that no highly-rated, in-demand coach will want to take up a job which comes with such major jeopardy.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s latest 3-0 loss against Nottingham Forest has left the club in an extremely precarious position under Igor Tudor.

It felt as if Spurs had turned a corner with their draw at Anfield and win over Atletico Madrid in the second leg, which had led to positivity among the fan base that the club would get out of the situation they find themselves in.

However, all that was brought crashing down to earth on Sunday, with Tottenham falling to yet another home defeat in the Premier League.

Spurs are still looking for their first league win of 2026 and now sit just a point above West Ham in 18th, and the club are now prepared to do something drastic

Tottenham see international break as perfect time to make managerial change

Football Insider are now reporting that Spurs’ 3-0 loss to Forest has made Igor Tudor’s position at Tottenham ‘untennable’.

Despite the sense of optimism ahead of the game, the Croat could be on his way out before Spurs resume Premier League action.

It is revealed that Tottenham see the upcoming international break as the ‘perfect opportunity’ to sack Tudor and bring a new manager in.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The report adds that Spurs may put the former Juventus boss out of his misery swiftly so that they give themselves some time to find a suitable replacement.

Who can Spurs turn to to replace Tudor?

Tottenham’s top managerial target, Roberto De Zerbi, is reportedly not willing to take up a job until the summer, and one doubts the Italian would be too keen to step in at a club who could get relegated.

Mauricio Pochettino can also only return to Spurs in the summer at the earliest, with his contract with USA ending with the World Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur fans will no doubt be pleased with how well Mikey Moore has been performing out on loan with Rangers.

His goal in the game against Aberdeen, where Rangers secured a 4-1 win, took his league tally to six for the season.

It was a well-taken goal from the teenager, who showed great composure from the left wing with a right-footed shot from the centre of the box into the bottom-right corner, assisted by Ryan Naderi following a fast break.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s relegation odds have now been revealed after their latest defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The Tottenham Hotspur fans looked to do their part ahead of their relegation six-pointer against Nottingham Forest on Sunday evening.

However, they were let down massively by their players as Spurs fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Forest.

Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi all found the back of the net as Tottenham’s relegation woes were compounded.

Tottenham relegation odds revealed after Nottingham Forest defeat

Opta has now crunched the numbers and predicted how likely Spurs are to get relegated following their latest defeat.

According to their data, Tottenham have a 23.33% chance of getting relegated this term. That is significantly lower than West Ham United, who have been handed a 58.75% chance of going down.

The Hammers find themselves in 18th place, while Spurs are now 17th, as Nottingham Forest’s latest victory has seen them move one spot and two points clear of Tottenham.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Forest, on the other hand, has been given an 11.60% chance of going down, while Leeds are leading the pack with just a 6.38% chance of playing Championship football next season.

Spurs face a key decision during international break

The international break is next on the football calendar, which means Spurs are going to sit with this defeat for a while.

However, it could also give them a chance to assess their current situation. There were reports that Igor Tudor risked being sacked should he suffer defeat against Forest.

The former Juventus boss not only suffered a loss but was well beaten, and with a two-week break, Tottenham will have to decide whether to stick with the interim boss or make another managerial change.

Description

Cristian Romero has spoken following another damaging result, with the Tottenham captain addressing both the team’s struggles and the mood around the club.

Not many would have predicted Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League campaign to be worse than it was last season.

Last term, Spurs managed to finish a spot above the relegation zone, but were never in a battle to avoid dropping into the Championship.

However, this campaign has been a different story, with Tottenham a spot above the drop but firmly in a full-on relegation scrap.

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero reacts to Nottingham Forest defeat

Spurs had the opportunity to create some daylight between themselves and both Nottingham Forest and West Ham United on Sunday afternoon.

But Tottenham failed to make it count as they fell to a dreadful 3-0 defeat at the hands of their relegation rivals Forest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

That loss now means Spurs are two points behind Viktor Pereira’s men and a single point above West Ham United.

MORE SPURS STORIES

It is clearly a crisis, and club captain Romero has now spoken after the latest defeat, addressing the team’s poor form, the fans’ support and the need to treat every remaining game as a final.

He told the official Premier League website: “The season is tough, especially in this moment. Another very bad [result] for us, another lose the game at home.

“The first thing is for the fans is thank you for today and every day as they stay with us. The situation is tough but the most important thing is play like a final now. It is a bad season, obviously the first responsibility is with me.

“For me the first thing is when we play here with Atletico Madrid and fantastic game. The first half we were good but the second half we lost the confidence and lose the ball. It is painful, it is a sad day but the most important thing is go national team then come back here for the final seven finals.”

Tottenham must respond quickly after Cristian Romero admission

Tottenham will have to move on from this defeat, and they will have to do so quickly with games set to come thick and fast after the break.

For Spurs, Sunderland is next, and the Lilywhites will be away from home in that one, and given their abysmal home record, that could be exactly what they need.

Following the Sunderland game, they take on Brighton before they enter the final five games of the campaign, where their mettle will be tested.

Tottenham coach reveals how emotional it was to see pre-match display from Spurs fans - Spurs Web
Description

Bruno Saltor has stepped in to address Tottenham’s latest setback, offering insight into the defeat after Igor Tudor was absent from media duties.

There was a great show of togetherness within the Tottenham Hotspur camp ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

It was a big relegation six-pointer, with the winner creating some daylight for themselves heading into the international break.

Spurs fans were keen to create a hostile environment for the visitors, making it loud from the moment the Tottenham coach arrived at the ground. Unfortunately, they were let down as they watched their side fall to a 3-0 defeat against Forest.

Bruno Saltor gives reaction to Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest

Igor Tudor was on the touchline for this one but was unavailable for the post-match presser due to personal reasons.

Football.london have since revealed Tudor was informed of an immediate family bereavement and, as a result, Bruno Saltor spoke to reporters at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the heavy loss in a huge relegation clash.

Addressing where the game slipped away despite a strong start, Saltor admitted it came down to fine margins and an inability to capitalise on key moments, while also praising the players’ effort.

MORE SPURS STORIES

He told reporters, “I think in the small details, I thought for 44 minutes in the first half we were the better team. And again, I think any mistake that we make, any small detail goes against us and we are not able to capitalise on the opposition’s mistakes. And probably that affected the team.

“And that is our job as coaches, to keep helping the players. And as you can see, the players, they care and they are 100% trying their best. But at the moment, it is not enough.

“We need to minimise any mistakes because we know that we are going to concede a goal.”

Saltor also reflected on the reception from the travelling party’s arrival and the support inside the stadium, describing the emotional impact it had on the squad.

He added: “I thought they were outstanding from the first minute when we were coming in and to the last minute. They stayed, they showed their support.

“It was quite emotional for everyone on the bus and that is what we need because right now, all of us, we have the same goal and that is to fight until the end of the season and stay in the Premier League as this club deserve.”

Tottenham must respond after Bruno Saltor admission

Looking ahead to the upcoming break and whether the coaching staff believe they can turn things around, Saltor insisted the belief remains within the camp and stressed the importance of regrouping once players return from international duty.

He said: “Yeah, of course, we feel the support from everyone at the club and we are just focusing on how we can help players. Obviously, a lot of players, they are leaving now for the internationals and as soon as they get back, get back on the train, come and try to get everyone up to speed and prepare for the next game.”

He also pointed to recent performances as a source of belief, highlighting positive displays despite the results not going their way. Saltor explained:

“It gives me the belief that the last two games against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, I thought they were a great performance from the first minute to the last minute. On the first half today, to be honest, I think we should have been 1-0 up at least.

“If you look at the stats, we created clear chances, but as I said, right now, every small detail is going against us and it is about turning that around and that is what gives me confidence.”

Description

A supercomputer has now crunched the numbers to predict exactly where Tottenham will finish this Premier League season following their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to rise to the occasion against Nottingham Forest in their relegation six-pointer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs started the game as the better of the two sides, showing great intensity and purpose in their attack for most of the first half, but a late first-half corner saw Forest go in front at the break.

Tottenham seemed to lose their way after going a goal down and never looked like the dominant side again. The match eventually ended 3-0, compounding Spurs’ relegation misery.

Supercomputer predicts Tottenham’s Premier League finish

We are heading into the international break now, and Opta’s Supercomputer has crunched the numbers to give its verdict on whether Spurs will avoid relegation after their latest defeat.

According to the supercomputer’s predicted table, Tottenham are expected to just about beat the drop this campaign. The Lilywhites are forecast to maintain their current league standing of 17th place for the rest of the season, with West Ham United expected to be the ones going down.

Opta believe that Leeds will finish on 42 points, Forest 41 points, Tottenham 39 points, and West Ham 37 points.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Opta are more optimistic about Spurs form than most fans

While the numbers might be in Spurs’ favour, the players must back it up with their on-field displays.

At the moment, Tottenham are the most out-of-form side among those fighting to stay up. While Forest and West Ham have managed victories in their last five, Spurs remain winless.

Five things we learned from Tottenham’s 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League

Five things we learned from Tottenham’s 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur fell to a costly 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest in their relegation six-pointer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leaving them just a single point above the drop.

Here are five things we learned from Tottenham 0-3 Nottingham Forest:

Tottenham players let fans down after pre-match support

Tottenham Hotspur’s winless run in 2026 in the Premier League continued in their relegation six-pointer clash with Nottingham Forest.

Viktor Pereira’s side inflicted a painful 3-0 defeat in front of a packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leaving fans deflated.

It was a big game for Spurs, and it was clear it mattered to the fans, who created a hostile atmosphere. Before the game, there was a coach meet where Tottenham fans turned up in numbers to welcome the players.

Inside the stadium, the ground was rocking as Spurs fans looked to galvanise their side, but in the end, they were let down by a group of players who seemed to lose their way after going a goal down despite first-half dominance.

Relegation battle worsens after defeat

That defeat is a massive one for Tottenham in the context of their season. It was a relegation six-pointer, a game that allowed Spurs to take points off their rivals.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Tottenham, however, failed to capitalise, and the defeat now leaves them firmly in the relegation scrap.

They now move to 17th place, having held on to 16th for a long time. That loss sees Forest leap above them into 16th, opening a two-point lead.

Spurs can, however, take some solace from the fact that West Ham United lost 2-0 to Aston Villa, a result that keeps Tottenham just above the drop zone.

Bench strength fails to make impact

There was plenty of reason to be optimistic coming into this match, with Spurs finally having a strong bench to call on.

For most of the season, Tottenham have dealt with an injury crisis and have been stretched, but this time it was different, with the likes of Joao Palhinha, Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke, Lucas Bergvall, Destiny Udogie and Conor Gallagher all returning.

But that made little difference, as Tottenham were still well beaten despite the return of key players.

Archie Gray shows leadership despite defeat

While the rest of the squad looked below par, Archie Gray remained one of the few positives.

The youngster continues to give everything on the pitch, and it is clear how much he has developed in a Tottenham shirt.

This is not to say he is the finished article, as there are still aspects of his game to improve.

The 20-year-old, for the second game running, failed to deal well with set plays, and today’s mistake proved costly as Igor Jesus was left unmarked for the opener.

Regardless, he has shown leadership traits, often demanding the ball and looking to make things happen from deep.

He showed his quality and range of passing and could have had an assist had Mathys Tel converted in the first half. The youngster, alongside Tel, was one of the few bright sparks.

For sure, no one will raise an eyebrow if he were made captain, given his performances this season.

Tottenham face key decision on Igor Tudor

Another positive is the break of at least two weeks. The fans need it, as the relentless run of football has brought little joy, given Spurs’ winless 2026 run, and we are now in March.

Tottenham have also managed just two wins from their last 21 matches. With form like this, the international break has come at the right time.

It is a chance to rest and reset, while also allowing the club to make a decision on Igor Tudor, who is under pressure following the defeat against Forest.

Reports have suggested a deadline on a decision on Tudor’s future was set for this Nottingham Forest clash, and with defeat the outcome, his position is uncertain.

Tottenham player ratings vs Nottingham Forest – Players fail to repay fans as relegation looms

Tottenham player ratings vs Nottingham Forest - Players fail to repay fans as relegation looms - Spurs Web
Description

The full-time whistle has been blown in the match between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles continued at full-time, with a damaging result leaving them deep in trouble at the wrong end of the table.

Nottingham Forest secured a 3-0 win over Spurs in the relegation six-pointer between the two sides, leaving Tottenham in 17th place, while they now open a two-point gap over the Lilywhites.

West Ham United lost 2-0 in their own match with Aston Villa, a defeat that only keeps Tottenham above the dotted line.

Let us take a look at how the individual players got on.

Guglielmo Vicario – The Italian was beaten thrice today by Nottingham Forest, with little he could do to prevent either goal. 5.

Djed Spence – He was used in his more natural right-back position and had the licence to push forward and join the attack. Tottenham’s threat from that side was limited, and he was hooked at half-time. 4.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Cristian Romero – The Spurs captain looked to bring his front-footed style of defending, but it did little to prevent either goal. The second came from a leggy Spurs side, giving Forest too much time on the ball. 3.

Kevin Danso – He made a couple of crucial interceptions in the first half to prevent Forest from taking an early lead. He also offered a threat from set plays with his long throw. In the second half, those threats were few and far between. He was later outmuscled by Awoniyi for Forest’s third 4.5.

Micky van de Ven – The Dutchman was given a more conservative role at full-back in the first half. He did get into the Forest box and put in a cross, but did not pick out a Spurs player. He also collided with the advertising boards and could have hurt himself. He was subbed off at half-time. 5.

Pedro Porro – With Spence off, Porro was pushed to right-back and appeared much narrower in attack, tucking inside rather than offering width. He was caught out defensively when Neco Williams found space at the back post from Elliot Anderson’s cross. Odoi also got the better of him, with Porro looking sluggish in his defence. Tudor’s switch looked to have worked against him. 3.

Archie Gray – Just like in the first half, the midfielder remained a threat in space, often picking out long balls to the forward players. He found Dominic Solanke early in the second half, but the striker could not cut the ball back. He also had a chance from the edge of the box, but his effort was blocked. 6.

Pape Matar Sarr – The midfielder showed intensity and determination in the first half, winning a few balls in midfield. However, as the game went on, he became leggy and less effective. He did look to get forward when Spurs went two down. 5.

Mathys Tel – He continued to be a livewire for Tottenham, just as in the first half. The Frenchman remained direct and caused Aina plenty of problems on the left, although his performance was not capped with a goal or assist. 6.5.

Dominic Solanke – It was an underwhelming performance from the centre-forward, who barely affected proceedings for most of the game. He did have a fair few half-chances after Forest’s third, but it was a little too late. 4.

Richarlison – His only real attempt came in the first half from a corner, where he looked to head in at the back post but sent his effort wide. In the second half, there were no chances for him before he was replaced by Randal Kolo Muani. 4.

Substitutes

Destiny Udogie – The left-back replaced Micky van de Ven, who appeared to have been taken off due to injury concerns. He offered width high up the pitch and created a good chance in the second half with a low cross for Lucas Bergvall. 5.

Lucas Bergvall – The Swede earned his first minutes after several months away as Tudor reshaped the right side of Spurs’ attack. He came close in the 75th minute after Udogie’s cross found him, but he could not keep his effort down. 5.

Randal Kolo Muani – He replaced Richarlison and moved to the left, but, like his counterpart, did not have any clear chances. 5.

Xavi Simons – The Dutchman came on to replace Mathys Tel, who went off with an injury in the second half. He slotted straight into the number 10 role. 5.

Tottenham half-time player ratings vs Nottingham Forest – 5/10 player has failed to threaten - Spurs Web
Description

The first half of Premier League action has just come to a close between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham find themselves a goal down in their relegation six-pointer with Nottingham Forest, despite consistent first-half pressure from Spurs.

West Ham United are currently a goal down in their own match with Aston Villa, making a victory vital for Spurs here. Let us take a look at how the individual players got on.

Guglielmo Vicario – The Italian was barely tested in this one, with Tottenham doing most of the attacking work. In the closing stages of the half, though, he was forced into a fine save by Igor Jesus. The forward eventually found the net from the resulting corner. 6.

Djed Spence – The full-back has been very adventurous from right-back and looks keen to put balls into the box whenever he is in space. But he is yet to create a big chance. 6.

Cristian Romero – The Argentine is defending on the front foot, often positioned high and close to the centre circle. It has worked well, with Romero winning both his aerial and ground duels. 6.

Kevin Danso – The centre-back was called into action early as Igor Jesus looked set to trouble Vicario following a cross, but Danso intercepted. He also offered a set-piece threat with his long throw, with one almost leading to an Igor Jesus own goal. 7.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Micky van de Ven – The Dutchman has featured on the left as a full-back, but has been less aggressive with his forward runs compared to Spence. He has picked his moments to go forward and did find himself in the Forest box, where he looked to play the ball across goal but failed to pick out a Tottenham player. 6.5.

Pedro Porro – The full-back is being used as a winger here, but it is a fluid setup for Spurs where he and Spence often trade roles. When Spence is high, Porro offers cover. He has looked solid in this role, offering width and some defensive support. 6.

Archie Gray – Elliot Anderson looked set to fire clean through on goal, but Gray’s presence, alongside a slip, was enough to prevent the Englishman from hitting the target. He also played a brilliant ball to Tel, isolating the winger one-on-one with Aina, which could have led to a goal. Gray was found ball watching for Forest’s goal instead of marking Jesus who was in so much space. 6.5.

Pape Matar Sarr – The Senegalese made a couple of interceptions to break up Forest attacks and showed energy to progress the ball forward. His forward runs later saw him involved in penalty appeals after Aina appeared to bring him down, but the referee waved play on. 6.

Mathys Tel – The young winger has provided much-needed width, showing a willingness to take on his man. He beat Aina after being isolated by Gray’s long ball, with his shot deflected for a corner. He later created the best chance of the half from that corner, but Richarlison could not convert. In the final moments of the first half, Tel came close with a strike from range only for Matz Sels to tip it over to the bar. 8.

Dominic Solanke – The forward has been tasked with dropping off the Forest defensive line to receive the ball and link play. He has had a few touches in midfield and around the edge of the box. 5.
