After the latest announcement by Tottenham regarding their sponsorship with AIA, the Lilywhites are projected to receive a huge financial windfall.

Last week, Tottenham announced that AIA will only remain their front-of-the-shirt sponsor until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The club revealed in their announcement that AIA will become their Global Training Partner from July 2027 through to June 2032.

In addition, it was also confirmed by Spurs that the Asian insurance giant will become their training kit sponsors for the same five-year period.

Football Insider reveal that Tottenham’s current training kit sponsorship with BetMGM is worth around £10m a year.

The deal expires at the end of the 2026-27 campaign, after which we will see the AIA logo feature on the Spurs training kit until the end of the 2031-2032 season.

The outlet says the new five-year agreement between AIA and Tottenham Hotspur is worth around £75m, which brings the deal to £15m a year.

MORE SPURS STORIES

That represents a 50 per cent increase compared to the North London club’s current agreement with BetMGM.

While the AIA logo will feature on Tottenham’s training kit from the start of the 2027-28 campaign, it will no longer do so on the club’s regular kit, with the Lilywhites now on the lookout for a new shirt sponsor.

It has been suggested by some sources that Spurs are looking for a £60 per year deal for their new shirt sponsorship.

Tottenham could pay a club-record £70m fee after identifying new priority target - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have identified a Premier League star as their top January target, and they are willing to spend big on him when the transfer window opens in January.

Even though we are still a month and a half away from the start of the January window, speculation has already gone into hyperdrive regarding who the Lilywhites’ top targets are.

Over recent weeks, several outlets have said that signing a striker and a winger are Thomas Frank’s top priorities in January.

Just a few days ago, it was reported that following Morgan Rogers’ decision to sign a new contract, Tottenham are ready to turn their attentions to an Everton star, and there has now been a big update regarding the player in question.

The previously reported information has now been backed up by Fichajes, who say that Iliman Ndiaye has now emerged as Tottenham’s ‘priority’ target in January following the Rogers contract development.

The report says that Spurs have ‘launched a significant offensive’ on the Everton man, and are determined to move quickly to land the player.

This is because Ndiaye’s versatility and his profile make him the perfect fit for Frank’s system, and the Lilywhites want to avoid falling behind in the transfer race.

MORE SPURS STORIES

As a result, Tottenham have ‘already made initial contact’ regarding a deal for the 25-year-old and are now ‘considering a substantial offer’ for the player.

Spurs could break their transfer record on Ndiaye

Fichajes say that Tottenham have to break the bank to land the Senegal international, who is thought to be valued at around £60m-£70m.

That could make him the North London club’s most expensive signing, beating the £65m they paid to land Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in the summer of 2024.

The outlet also says that getting Ndiaye out of Everton will not be easy, with Frank’s men having work to do to convince the wide-forward about a move to N17 and to overcome the competition for his signature.

Tottenham receive huge update on Kobbie Mainoo as club edge closer to a deal - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur will have to act fast if they wish to land Kobbie Mainoo after a new report shed light on what the Man United star is now thinking following a new transfer approach.

Over the past couple of months, several reports have claimed that Spurs are set to reignite their interest in Mainoo after failing to get a deal over the line for the midfielder in the summer.

Mainoo is keen to leave Old Trafford in search of regular game time, given that a spot in England’s World Cup squad is up for grabs next summer.

Tottenham face plenty of competition from around Europe for the Man United man, and one Serie A club are now seemingly edging closer to a deal.

Napoli’s pursuit of Tottenham target Kobbie Mainoo has reached ‘fever pitch’

Last week, it emerged that Napoli were aggressively pushing to land Mainoo, and it appears that a move to the Serie A club is now close to becoming a reality for the midfielder.

A new update from TEAMtalk claims that Antonio Conte sees the Man United man as the ‘final piece in their Scudetto and Champions League puzzle’ and the Italian side are willing to meet the Red Devils’ financial demands.

Napoli’s determination to land Mainoo has now reached ‘fever pitch’, with the club proposing a loan deal with an option to buy.

MORE SPURS STORIES

They are ready to cover the England international’s full wages during his stay at Naples, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis greenlighting the deal.

What is Mainoo thinking about a potential move to Napoli?

TEAMtalk allege that the 20-year-old is now ‘increasingly receptive’ about a switch to the Diego Maradona stadium.

While Mainoo would ideally prefer to remain in the Premier League, the recent success of Scott McTominay and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in Serie A has piqued his interest regarding a move to Italy.

The outlet adds that Red Devils are ready to green-light the sale of their academy graduate, but Rubem Amorim has made it clear he wants a replacement to be signed first.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to make some statement signings over the upcoming transfer windows, with some of the biggest names in Europe thought to be on the club’s radar.

Since the change in the leadership structure at Spurs earlier this season, it has been reported extensively that ENIC are ready to change Tottenham’s transfer strategy and go after ready-made stars.

It has been suggested that the new Spurs leadership are ready to remove the self-imposed wage cap to add some big names to their squad.

Other outlets have said Tottenham have started eyeing elite signings, and a new update has now listed the kind of names that the Lilywhites are looking at.

Four big-name strikers on Tottenham’s radar

TEAMtalk have now claimed that a new attacker is certain to arrive through the door in January, and the club’s hierarchy are ready to make significant funds available for the right player.

It is suggested that Spurs are ready to test the waters for top talent, with the Lilywhites now looking at various strikers.

Tottenham are said to have made some enquiries for Ivan Toney in an effort to feel out the market, with the 29-year-old seen as an ‘ideal fit’ for Thomas Frank’s system.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Additionally, Tottenham legend Harry Kane, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Porto’s Samu Aghehowa are also alleged to be on the North London club’s radar.

Spurs are also tracking two Premier League wingers

Interestingly though, TEAMtalk say that Frank’s men are more likely to sign a wide-forward than a centre-forward during the upcoming transfer window.

A firm decision is expected to be made as we go closer to January, but Tottenham have already drawn up a list of options to work through.

Description

James Maddison made a touching gesture ahead of Radu Dragusin’s first Tottenham match in nearly 10 months on Wednesday.

Dragusin suffered an ACL injury back in January, while the attacking midfielder picked up the same injury during the pre-season tour in Asia.

Maddison and Dragusin have been supporting each other through their rehabilitation, and the Romanian is now finally on the verge of returning to action.

The 23-year-old took a significant step on Wednesday, playing 45 minutes for Tottenham’s U21s in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Leyton Orient.

James Maddison arrives to support his Tottenham teammate ahead of his return to the pitch

The 28-year-old Tottenham star decided to come to Hotspur Way on his day off, admitting that he could not miss Dragusin’s return to the pitch.

Maddison wrote on his Instagram story: “Day off for me today, but couldn’t miss Radu’s first minutes back after nine months. I’ve seen firsthand how hard this man has worked to be in this position, ready to play again. His attitude, honest to god, keeps me so motivated every day. Proud of you, mush.”

In the video released by Tottenham on their social media account, the former Leicester City man can be seen giving a big hug to Dragusin just as he is about to enter the pitch.

Radu Dragusin admits it meant a lot to have Maddison present on his return

The central defender was emotional after finally returning to the pitch after a long and difficult journey.

He revealed Maddison had helped a lot in keeping his spirits high through the rehabilitation and admitted that it was special to have the midfielder by his side yesterday.

When asked about the help he got from people around him, Dragusin told Tottenham’s official website: “Honestly, everybody, but you know, especially Madders, he was there when I got injured, he always was next to me to give me a laugh in a difficult day.

“For him to be here next to me, it really meant a lot, because you know, this is how we are here, we are a family, we don’t let anyone down in the hard moments, so I’m really grateful to be part of this group.”

Tottenham fans think Thomas Frank has been handed a new star who will thrive under him - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been quick to share their reactions after Radu Dragusin took a major step forward in his recovery.

Radu Dragusin took a very positive step towards recovery yesterday as he got 45 minutes under his belt in a behind-closed-doors match against Leyton Orient.

The Romanian centre-back has not played a competitive match since his last outing against Elfsborg in January, where he picked up an ACL injury.

He returned to first-team training a few months ago, but it was only yesterday that he took the next big step in his rehabilitation process, finally getting back onto the pitch and preparing himself for a return to first-team action.

His return could not have come at a better time, with Tottenham heading into a busy spell of fixtures that will test the depth of Thomas Frank’s squad.

Tottenham fans react to Radu Dragusin recovery progress

Tottenham fans, who once described Radu Dragusin as a beast when he was spotted working in the gym weeks after his ACL surgery, have now reacted positively to his latest step towards full fitness.

Many supporters are eager to see the 23-year-old back in action under Thomas Frank.

MORE SPURS STORIES

One fan said after Dragusin’s game against Leyton Orient: “I am looking forward to seeing how he plays in a Frank system. He was left majorly exposed last season with the high line and his defensive partner was either Davies or Gray. Still young at 23 years old, so could be another solid player for us.”

Another commented: “That is good news. Pleased he came through unscathed. If there is another friendly that could be arranged early next week, that would help get more minutes into his legs.”

A third Tottenham supporter added: “Be nice to have some depth and fully rotate Micky and Cuti. Frank’s system suits him much better as well.”

One fan also praised Dragusin’s commitment last season, saying: “I for one will not forget this man being willing to play every three days when we had no centre-backs from November to January last year, despite being injured at times. Some of the current crocks could learn something from him.”

While another concluded: “Genuinely think he will be a much better defender under Frank. It just did not work with the high line we played under Ange.”

Radu Dragusin return a timely boost for Spurs and Thomas Frank

Dragusin did not have the best of seasons last campaign, but his commitment and dedication to Tottenham were evident, and it is something the fans clearly appreciate.

His return arrives at a perfect time, with games set to come thick and fast across all competitions, providing a much-needed boost for Frank.

However, Tottenham will need to manage his return carefully, as players recovering from long-term injuries often face small setbacks when they first get back to full training and match rhythm.

Joe Lewis to be pardoned by Donald Trump as Tottenham return verdict is made - Spurs Web
Description

Former Tottenham owner Joe Lewis is set to be pardoned by US President Donald Trump after pleading guilty to insider trading.

The Bahamas-based billionaire, who founded the ENIC group, led the ownership of Tottenham Hotspur until a few years ago.

However, Lewis pleaded guilty to charges of insider trading after being indicted for passing information to ‘romantic partners and his private pilots’.

This did not affect the North London club, as prior to the indictment, Lewis transferred control of Spurs and some of his other assets to Lewis Family Trusts.

Former Tottenham owner set to be officially pardoned

The Telegraph now report that Lewis, who was fined £4 million last year after pleading guilty to insider trading, is now set to be pardoned.

The official pardon will arrive from the office of US President Donald Trump, and the 88-year-old admits that he is relieved not to have this case hanging over him.

Lewis said about the development: “I am pleased all of this is now behind me, and I can enjoy retirement and watch as my family and extended family continue to build our businesses based on the quality and pursuit of excellence that has become our trademark.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

A source close to the Lewis family added about the pardon: “Joe and the Lewis family are extremely grateful for this pardon and would like to thank President Trump for taking this action. Over his long business career, Joe has been a visionary, creating businesses across the world which multiple generations of his family are now taking forward. There is so much more to the Joe Lewis story than this one event.”

Joe Lewis will not be making a return to Tottenham

Despite being pardoned, The Telegraph claim that Lewis has no plans of taking charge at the helm of the North London club once more.

The Lewis family took full operational control of Spurs earlier this year after Daniel Levy’s 14-year reign as chairman came to an end.

Emotional Radu Dragusin opens up after playing his first Tottenham match in 10 months - Spurs Web
Description

Radu Dragusin finally completed his return to the pitch, featuring in a Tottenham friendly at Hotspur Way on Wednesday, and the centre-back is over the moon to be back after 10 months out of the game.

After a difficult start to life at Tottenham after arriving from Genoa, it appeared like Dragusin had turned a corner at the start of the year, proving a reliable presence at the back in the absence of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

However, disaster struck for the Romanian in January as he suffered an ACL injury during Tottenham’s Europa League win against Elfsborg.

It has been a long and difficult road back for Dragusin, who has been back in full training for the last few weeks, and he finally made it onto the pitch for a match on Wednesday.

Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin is delighted to get some minutes into his legs

The 23-year-old played 45 minutes for Tottenham’s U21s in their behind-closed-doors friendly against Leyton Orient, and he came through the game unscathed.

The centre-back admitted that it felt great to finally be out to test his fitness in a match after working his way up to this moment for many months.

Speaking after his involvement on Wednesday, Dragusin said (via the club’s official website): “Honestly, it felt really good. Getting back out there with the boys, with the Under-21s, they’ve been great, they’ve been helping me, so I’m really grateful for this moment.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“It’s different, you can train how much you want, but once you are there in 11v11 on a big pitch, it’s different, you can’t really replicate it in training.

“It’s the details like the sprints back, the adversity, the exposure that you get as a defender, it was a good day. It felt good, first minutes in 10 months out, finally minutes in the legs, and I just have to build on this.”

Dragusin has learned patience and gratitude

Going through a serious long-term injury is extremely testing for a professional footballer, particularly for players who are close to the start of their careers.

Dragusin confessed that he has learned some life lessons from his ordeal over the last 10 months, including patience and gratitude.

When asked about the difficult time he had to endure, the former Genoa man said: “I learned to be patient and to never take anything for granted. Because one day you are on the top of the mountain, the next second you are with this kind of injury.

“This is life, it’s only to make me stronger, make me more resilient. I’ve never given up, and things are really close to being back to normal.”

Pascal Chimbonda names his most underrated Tottenham player after superb Man United cameo - Spurs Web
Description

Pascal Chimbonda has shared his thoughts on Tottenham’s current squad, naming the player he believes deserves far more recognition for his performances this season.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a mixed start to their 2025/26 campaign under new boss Thomas Frank, but things are not entirely bleak.

There is still room for improvement under the Dane, and being consistent and playing more attacking football are areas he needs to focus on.

However, it is not down to the manager alone if Spurs are to become a force to be reckoned with. More players will have to step up and improve several aspects of their game if Tottenham are to progress this season.

Pascal Chimbonda names Wilson Odobert as Tottenham’s most underrated player

There are already a few standout players in this Tottenham team, with Micky van de Ven improving his goal-scoring output when compared to last season, having scored six goals so far – the most of any Tottenham player after eleven games.

Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha have both been standout signings given their early contributions, but Pascal Chimbonda has gone in a different direction, naming Wilson Odobert as his most underrated current player.

Speaking exclusively to Spurs Web, Chimbonda explained why he believes the young winger deserves greater recognition for his performances this season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“I will say Odobert. Why? Because he is a talented player and deserves more games. He is my preferred left-winger at Tottenham over Tel, Simons, and Johnson at the moment.”

Wilson Odobert starting to show his potential for Spurs

The former Tottenham defender is not wrong to have named Odobert as a player who deserves a little more credit.

The 20-year-old was signed from Burnley two summers ago and endured a difficult start to life at Tottenham after picking up a long-term injury early in his Spurs career.

As a result, getting into a rhythm of consistent game time has been difficult for him, but he is already showing what he can do when fully fit and given a run of matches.

He is levels above every other player that has featured on the wing for Tottenham this season, and with him now adding end product – goals and assists – he is quickly making that left-wing spot his own.
