Tottenham receive worrying Radu Dragusin update as he steps up injury return - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur fans will not like the latest news regarding Radu Dragusin, as the defender edges closer to a return to the field.

The centre-back is one of 11 Spurs players currently out injured, having not had any competitive action since picking up an ACL injury back in January.

Dragusin has been training with the Tottenham squad over the last few weeks, but has not been named in any matchday squads yet by Thomas Frank.

Tottenham fans would have been hoping that the defender would remain at Hotspur Way to build up his fitness over the international break, but that will not be the case.

Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin will link up with the Romanian squad

The former Genoa man has not been named in the Romania squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina and San Marino.

Football.London claim that this is down to Tottenham’s intervention, with the North London side telling the Romania national team chiefs not to select the 23-year-old as they continue to build up his fitness.

However, the report claims that even though he is not part of the squad, the Spurs star will link up with the national side to train with them during the international break.

New Champions League rule could help Tottenham after Randal Kolo Muani injury - Spurs Web
Description

A new UEFA rule introduced this season could alleviate some of Thomas Frank’s concerns after Tottenham lost Randal Kolo Muani due to an injury.

Tottenham have 11 players on the treatment table at the moment, with their latest big blow coming this weekend.

Randal Kolo Muani has reportedly suffered a broken jaw after a collision with Harry Maguire in the early stages of the 2-2 draw against Man United.

Although Spurs have not given any official timeline for the Frenchman’s recovery, reports indicate that Kolo Muani could be ruled out of action for two months or more.

Tottenham could replace Randal Kolo Muani in their Champions League squad

Earlier this year, UEFA announced a rule change which allows one outfield player to be replaced in the Champions League squad in the event of a serious injury.

The Standard now explains that, as per the rule, clubs are allowed to name a replacement for a player whose injury is expected to last at least 60 days.

Medical evidence should be provided to UEFA regarding the severity of the injury, and the governing body also has the right to demand further medical examination by an expert of their choosing.

This means that if it is deemed that Kolo Muani would be out of action for at least two months, Tottenham Hotspur can replace him in their Champions League squad for the League Phase.

Who can replace Kolo Muani in Spurs’ Champions League squad?

UEFA’s rules state that the change has to be made before matchday six, which for the Lilywhites is when they take on Slavia Prague at home on December nine.

The obvious option to replace Kolo Muani would be Mathys Tel, who was initially left out of the Champions League squad for the League Phase.

Another option could be centre-back Radu Dragusin, who is expected to play a behind-closed-doors friendly at Hotspur Way during the international break as he steps up his recovery.

Tottenham are keen to push for a top-four finish under Thomas Frank, but their next run of Premier League fixtures could prove pivotal as they look to keep pace with England’s elite.

The final international break of the year is upon us, and Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to gather momentum from this point onwards.

Spurs go into the break off the back of a 2-2 draw with Manchester United, after the Red Devils came from behind to snatch a late equaliser through Matthijs de Ligt.

That result leaves Tottenham fifth in the Premier League table, one point off the Champions League places and eight adrift of league leaders Arsenal.

With games set to come thick and fast following the break, Thomas Frank will be desperate to see his side develop a rhythm and start picking up consistent wins.

Tottenham star makes bullish claim about what Thomas Frank can achieve this season - Spurs Web
Description

Even though Tottenham continue to struggle to pick up wins at home in the Premier League, Kevin Danso has made a confident claim about the club’s prospects this season.

It appeared as though Spurs were set to win at home in the Premier League for the first time since the opening day of the season when Richarlison guided Wilson Odoberto’s curled effort into the back of the net against Man United in the 91st minute.

However, the Lilywhites threw two points away in the end, with an unmarked Matthijs de Ligt heading the ball into the back of the net in the 96th minute.

While Spurs are still just two points behind Chelsea in second place, Opta’s Supercomputer predicts that Tottenham will finish in the bottom half of the table, given the team’s current trajectory.

Kevin Danso says Tottenham can win another trophy this season

Despite the recent results, Kevin Danso insists that the current Spurs squad under Thomas Frank can end the season with silverware.

He claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are capable of channelling the resilience they showed to win the Europa League trophy in May to achieve something similar this season.

When asked if the team can lift another trophy this season, Danso told The Standard: “In football, anything is possible. We showed last season a lot of resilience to win the trophy. A lot of injuries, a lot of things that didn’t go our way, and we still managed to end it on a high.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“It’s not always how you start, it’s how you finish. Sometimes you’ve just got to dig in. This season we want to achieve something similar, so we’ve got to dig in again.”

Danso is determined to take every chance he gets

The Austrian has performed admirably whenever called upon this season, but starts have been hard to come by for him.

Danso is realistic about his prospects of game time, given that Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are at the club, but the former Lens man is determined to showcase his quality every time he gets an opportunity.

When asked about the difficulty of breaking into Thomas Frank’s starting eleven ahead of Van de Ven or Romero, the 26-year-old responded: “That’s part of being at a top club that’s at the top of world football, like Spurs is. You have players in every position that are top, top quality.

“Micky and Cuti are exactly that. I understand that, and I’m very realistic. My role is to just play as best as possible, try to get in the team. If not, also understand that’s part of football. I believe in myself. When you’re at the top of world football, that’s what happens. You’ve got competition. Just got to deal with it the best you can.

“Personally, you want to play every game, but you also understand that Micky and Cuti are performing very well. When I get my opportunity, even ten minutes at the end of a game, perform at that same level.”

Description

Alasdair Gold has revealed what the feeling at Tottenham is about Mohammed Kudus’ chances of being fit for the North London derby.

Kudus has missed Tottenham’s last two matches against Copenhagen and Man United due to a knock.

The winger has been Tottenham’s best attacking player this season, and Spurs fans may feel that their side could have got three points had he featured on Saturday.

Ahead of the 2-2 draw, Thomas Frank said that Kudus was ‘touch and go’ to face Man United, which would give hope to Tottenham fans that the winger will be ready to go after the international break.

Tottenham winger Mohammed Kudus has pulled out of the Ghana squad

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has now confirmed that the Tottenham winger has not linked up with the Ghana squad for the international break.

The Black Stars have travelled to Asia to play friendlies against Japan and Heung-min Son’s South Korea, but the former West Ham man has not been part of the travelling group.

Gold adds that Frank is ‘very confident’ that Kudus will be fit and available for the North London derby on November 23.

Expected return dates for Tottenham’s 11 injured players, including Dejan Kulusevski - Spurs Web
Description

We bring you the latest updates on the Tottenham players who are currently out injured and when they could finally make a return to Thomas Frank’s squad.

Tottenham’s injury list has been very bloated over recent weeks, and another senior Spurs man has now joined the treatment table.

It has now been confirmed that Randal Kolo Muani suffered a broken jaw against Man United after being withdrawn at the interval on Saturday.

The Frenchman is now the eleventh player on Tottenham’s injury list, and we take a look at how long all of them are expected to remain out of action.

Tottenham’s injury situation could improve substantially following international break

According to reports, Randal Kolo Muani is expected to miss six to eight weeks of action, and potentially even more if he needs surgery.

However, Thomas Frank could have some good news regarding many of the other players who are on the treatment table.

Mohammed Kudus will be available after the international break, after Frank admitted that the Ghana international was close to being fit for the Man United clash.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Premier Injuries website claims that Dominic Solanke, Archie Gray, Ben Davies, Radu Dragusin, Kota Takai, Lucas Bergvall and Yves Bissouma could all be back after the international break.

It is revealed that Dejan Kulusevski could be back by the end of this month, but that appears optimistic, considering how long the Swede has been out of action.

James Maddison is not expected to play this season, with the website predicting that the attacking midfielder will only be fit in June 2026.

What has Thomas Frank said about Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski?

The returns of Kulusevski and Solanke will be crucial, given that Tottenham have lacked creativity and firepower this season.

Frank has said he is hopeful Solanke will play before the end of the year, but Tottenham fans will be hoping that the striker returns much sooner, particularly after the latest blow to Kolo Muani.

Tottenham star is dangerously close to a suspension ahead of North London derby - Spurs Web
Description

One senior Tottenham Hotspur man is now just one yellow card away from serving a one-match suspension in the Premier League.

The injury problems keep mounting for Thomas Frank’s men, with Randal Kolo Muani becoming the latest to be ruled out for six to eight weeks after fracturing his jaw against Man United.

Kolo Muani is now one of 11 Spurs players on the treatment table, but the situation is expected to improve shortly, with several players due to return after the international break.

However, Tottenham are now at risk of losing one of their most important players to a suspension.

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero is one yellow card away from a suspension

Players who pick up five yellow cards on or before gameweek 19 will have to serve a one-match suspension.

According to the Premier League website, Cristian Romero is now on four yellow cards after entering the referee’s notebook against Man United.

That means the Argentine is now walking a tight rope for the next eight matches, starting with the North London derby on November 23.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Mohammed Kudus, Joao Palhinha and Kevin Danso are on three yellow cards each, which means they can each afford just one more caution for the next eight league matches if they want to avoid a suspension.

Romero’s absense is now manageable problem for Spurs

The good news is that Romero will be playing in the North London derby, assuming he comes through the international break unscathed.

It is a near certainty that the Argentine will pick up a yellow card within the next eight games, and Thomas Frank will be hoping that he does not end up missing a big fixture.

Description

Randal Kolo Muani could miss 12 matches for Tottenham Hotspur after the striker’s latest injury blow.

The Frenchman had only recovered from his dead leg a few weeks ago and was finally starting to get a run of starts under his belt.

In fact, Thomas Frank even predicted there was more to come from Kolo Muani as he works his way up to full fitness and sharpness.

However, Tottenham’s bad run of luck with injuries continued on Saturday, with the on-loan PSG man being taken off due to an injury at half-time.

It was subsequently confirmed that Kolo Muani had suffered a broken jaw and had withdrawn from the France squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

The 12 matches Randal Kolo Muani could miss for Tottenham

Some sources have claimed that Kolo Muani could be out of action for six to eight weeks and that the timeline could be even longer if he requires surgery.

That is the worst possible news for Thomas Frank, just as Spurs enter a very busy period in their season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Assuming the Frenchman misses eight weeks of action, here are the 12 matches that he could be unavailable for:

When will Dominic Solanke be back on the pitch for Spurs?

The one good news for Spurs is that Dominic Solanke is now on the mend after having ankle surgery at the end of September.

However, Tottenham have not given an exact timeline for the England international’s return, with the club seemingly taking things slow and steady with the former Bournemouth man.

Tottenham’s Mikey Moore has opened his account in front of the goal for Rangers, and he did so with a beautiful goal.

There was a lot expected of the 18-year-old when he made the switch to the Scottish side, but things did not go according to plan for the teenager in his first two months at the club.

There were reports that Moore was unhappy with his role in Russel Martin’s system, but the Spurs academy graduate has found a new lease of life since Martin was replaced by Danny Rohl a few weeks ago.

Moore was praised for his ‘electric’ and ‘phenomenal’ performance against Celtic in the Scottish League Cup final last week, and he has now continued his good form away at Dundee FC.

Moore got 66 minutes under his belt away at Dundee FC, and the teenager made a decisive contribution in the game.

The on-loan Tottenham Hotspur man, who had two assists already to his name this season, scored his first goal for the Scottish club to double their lead in 14 minutes.

Moore started the move by receiving the ball deep and playing it around the corner to a teammate, before continuing his run, picking the ball up on the edge of the box and finishing expertly.

Moore has already won over the Rangers fans

The teenage attacker may not have done as well as he had hoped to so far during his time at Ibrox, but his class has been clear to see.

The Spurs academy graduate has now made himself a fixture in Rohl’s starting eleven, and he will hope to go from strength to strength over the coming weeks and months.

Fabio Paratici starts early work on signing £30m Tottenham target Thomas Frank loves - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have begun work on signing a highly-rated Premier League winger in January, but they face competition from a rival.

The left-wing role has been a problem area for Spurs this summer, and it has been reported that Tottenham are exploring entering the market for a wide-forward in January.

It was first revealed by Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg last month that Spurs may turn to a Brentford winger to solve their problem after his impressive displays so far this term.

The player in question is Kevin Schade, who has earned a call-up to the German national side on the back of his performances at the Gtech Community Stadium this term.

Fabio Paratici has started working on bringing Kevin Schade to Tottenham

Journalist Mark Brus has now reported on CaughtOffside that Spurs are ‘already working behind the scenes’ on a January deal for the 23-year-old.

He says that the former Freiburg man could be the next player to leave the West London club following the sales of Bryan Mbeumo and Yaone Wissa in the summer.

In fact, it is alleged that Fabio Paratici has started preparations to reunite Kevin Schade with Thomas Frank at Tottenham in the upcoming transfer window

MORE SPURS STORIES

Schade is thought to be seen as the ‘perfect profile’ for Spurs and the fact that he already knows Frank’s system well is seen as a positive at the North London club.

Spurs face competition for Schade’s signature

Mark Brus reveals that Aston Villa are also keen on securing the Bees star’s signature and will offer competition to Tottenham.

The journalist adds that it is unclear which project Schade will be more attracted to, pointing out that while Spurs can offer him Champions League football, Unai Emery’s men have been more consistent in the Premier League over the last two years.
